Soulja Boy Told ‘Em
You can’t do a show in the ATL without doing the hottest dance coming out of the city right now. Soulja Boy got it crunk when he performed his chart-topping “Crank Dat.” Though the space was tight, audience members were spotted getting their “superman” on. Some of his dancers even were decked out in Superman capes as they put it down. Talk about getting into the role!
We probably shouldn’t be saying this…
…but Kanye West actually won an award and gave it to he person he felt deserved it more than him. We won’t tell you which award it was, but we will tell you that he gave the trophy to UGK and Big Boi, who in turn, gave it back. Good to see that some hip-hoppers don’t feel the need to battle all the time.
Thoughts & Observations…
Big Boi solo album? Can you spell c-a-n-n-o-t-w-a-i-t?
Katt Williams is hilarious. He came out on stage but forgot his mic. He recovers well when a dog runs out on stage. We can’t decide if it’s staged or if somebody really let the dogs out.
E-40 has the perfect voice to be an announcer.
Melle Mel’s muscles are seriously outta control. He must work out everyday.
We spot Dr. Martin Luther King’s daughter, Bernice, briefly chatting with Dr. Ben Chavis.
Little Brother’s Phonte and Big Pooh look like they’re enjoying the show.
Where there are rappers, there are obviously video girls, ummm…models. Every girl that has ever appeared in a video is here tonight wearing their Anyday-but-Sunday’s best.
Rich Boy is so nice.
Is the tall dude with locs in Playaz Circle related to the tall dude with the locs in Crime Mob? We think so.
