Akon pisses on a Michael Jackson classic

Apparently Akon “wanna start” a riot of people boycotting the upcoming 25th anniversary commemorative release of Michael Jackson’s Thriller, judging by this piss-poor version of “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’.” Click here to listen.
Damn’ where do you begin with this wet manure of a version? The icky piano intro? Akon’s dull voice? The dreadful new arrangement?
Akon sings this song with the conviction and excitement of someone, drowsy from taking too much cold medicine, singing the lyrics along a teleprompter. If he did this performance on “American Idol,” he would have probably been voted off.
And Michael, WTF?!?! Are you that hard up for money that you would greenlight such a horrible rendition and put on your album just so you can say that Thriller has some new talent on it to boost sales?
Am I being too harsh!
