Beyoncé Is Better than Tina Turner!?!

Oh, snap! Beyoncé is better than Tina Turner! Well that what Kanye West reportedly exclaimed to reporters in New Zealand. “She is just as great, if not greater, than artists we had in the past…she’s probably greater than Tina Turner,” West said, according to singerroom.
While high praises are always welcomed, even from someone prone to knuckle-headed hyperbole as West, but the statement almost seems like a stunt, as if he’s trying to start somethin’ between Tina and Beyoncé.
Beyoncé already got in trouble with Aretha Franklin for reading a script that introduced Tina as “the Queen” before their riveting performance at this year’s Grammy award show. Now it seems that outside forces are pitting a very appreciative Beyoncé against one of her mentors. Maybe Tina won’t take too much offense from Kanye’s remark. And if she does, let’s hope she doesn’t lash out against Beyoncé.
But what’s your opinion? Was Kayne’s comment disrespectful? Will it come to haunt Beyoncé in the future? Or is Tina just too cool and confident with her legendary status, that she could care less what Kanye says?
I think that beyonce is talented in her own right. She’s not tina turner and neither is any of these other artists today someone from the past. they have similar stage performances, but different artists. Beyonce has said that tina is her idol and she looks up to her. I think its the media who has made one persons musical opinion into something so negative. Both ladies are great artists

Kanye is going hard, ain’t he? There is no way on God’s beautiful green earth that Beyonce is better than Ms. Tina Turner. Matter of fact, she doesn’t even compare. Ms. Tina Turner overcame the hardships of being beaten and controlled by her husband. She also worked hard to be original and keep her signature style afloat. Beyonce has been managed and financed by her parents her entire career. Think about it. There is NO comparison.
beyonce is a very good entertainer. tina turner is an icon. i wish people would stop comparing beyonce to everyone, like she sets the standards. i like beyonce, i really do, but she isnt the best. no one is. there is always someone who’s better. but really beyonce isn’t better than tina, tina has history, she’s a legend, beyonce is close but not that close……..sorry…
kanye is just a dumb ass trouble maker i wish someone would put him in his place already he just mad that his career aint as hot as it was so he talkin about others whos careers are going better he should just concentrate on not killin another familt member with his fading fame.
I agree…. sort of… Beyonce is the best of her time… and does deserve to be respected as a Legend…. Her time is coming sooner then we think!
Oh goodness, for someone to even compare the two, one must be EXTREMELY unfamiliar with the depth in which Tina Turner sang, and still sings. While Beyonce undoubtedly has a beautiful voice, she lacks that raw, unrelenting, defiance that Tina has. While yes everyone is entitled to their opinion, some opinions are just wrong. Beyonce is glamour, which is fine, but who is she without the make-up, and the fake hair and eyelashes?? Her music has not reached her soul.

Why are people always hating on Beyonce? Just stop and give the woman her props. I dont think nobody can sit up here and say they havent had there favorite Beyonce song and turned the radio as loud as it can go when it’s playing. We all love Tina too. Tina is a legend, but yet Beyonce is the future. Either you like it or you don’t Beyonce is the next big thing. She is a legend in the making. No matter how many haters she has she will always have way more fans.

I can’t stand it when people talk about these new artists are better than the legends who set the stage in the first place. Where do you think Beyonce got her style and moves from? Or how about Ne-Yo and Chris Brown biting off of Michael Jackson? You cannot say someone is better than the one who created it, that is just stupid. She may revamp it and make it her own, but Kanye doesn’t know what he is talking about. He needs to go pull that BS he calls an album off the shelves and go sit down somewhere.

First off,
What I don’t like is how EVERYONE turned Kanye’s opinion into a Beyonce backlash. If you don’t like Beyonce, thats cool, but don’t turn Kanye’s words into Jay-Z making him say that or Beyonce’s father threatening him to say that either. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and everyone should know by now that Kanye has plenty of it. Second, Kanye didn’t say Rihanna was BETTER than Beyonce if you want to requote someone, he said that she made Beyonce step her game up. Third, if you listen to any of Beyonce interviews, she ALWAYS credit whoever shes inspired by. When she performed with Tina at the Grammys, she couldn’t stop praising her and saying how much she loved her and she was her favorite growing up and thats who she mimics alot for her dance routines. So before you start downgrading beyonce like people usually do, PLEASE READ THE STORY RIGHT!!!!!!
So much emphasis is made on the wrong things nowadays. I’m not understanding the majority of the comments made on this blog. Majority of the people is so negative. Of course Tina Turner is a legend in her own right but why take Beyonce status away from her because of someone else’s opinion.
