Beyoncé Is Better than Tina Turner!?!

Oh, snap! Beyoncé is better than Tina Turner! Well that what Kanye West reportedly exclaimed to reporters in New Zealand. “She is just as great, if not greater, than artists we had in the past…she’s probably greater than Tina Turner,” West said, according to singerroom.
While high praises are always welcomed, even from someone prone to knuckle-headed hyperbole as West, but the statement almost seems like a stunt, as if he’s trying to start somethin’ between Tina and Beyoncé.
Beyoncé already got in trouble with Aretha Franklin for reading a script that introduced Tina as “the Queen” before their riveting performance at this year’s Grammy award show. Now it seems that outside forces are pitting a very appreciative Beyoncé against one of her mentors. Maybe Tina won’t take too much offense from Kanye’s remark. And if she does, let’s hope she doesn’t lash out against Beyoncé.
But what’s your opinion? Was Kayne’s comment disrespectful? Will it come to haunt Beyoncé in the future? Or is Tina just too cool and confident with her legendary status, that she could care less what Kanye says?

Be for real. The kind of music they’re making these days you will never be an icon. I don’t want to hear “Single Ladies” 20 years from now. B is very talented but she don’t come close, and to lump them in the same category is an insult.

@sally…Please. I’m neither a Tina or a Beyonce fan,but Beyonce better singer and dancer because she has more awards? They practically gives those things away nowadays. Plus,the competition is not what it use to be. Beyonce can only be an “icon” or “legend” in this era. She would have never seen the light back in those days. Plus,money/sales doesn’t equal talent/artistry. Don’t get it twisted!!!

I love Beyonce and she is a great preformer, on the other hand Tina Turner is still the greatest .Think of it this way without the legendary icons that possesed the dance moves and music of today, really where would we be. There is always a starting point and improvements are made! They both are still great in my opnion.

Please,,, Tina is too cool and to grown to feel any type of way about his comment. Beyonce’ is great in what she does i will geive her that but greater then Tina, in about 25 years once Beyonce’ has put in the work and years as Tina has then we can compare the 2. These are 2 different types of Divas Tina has earned her R.E.S.P.E.C.T Beyonce’ still has some mountains to climb to reach Tina’s status.
Beyonce is not better than Tina Turner or Aretha Franklin. She is not even a good singer. She cannot be compared to these two ladies. The grinding and hunching needs to stop. She is too “thick” to be on stage and videos dressed the way she does. I cringe when she performs because she is too thick! Yes she can move, but it takes more for her to be BETTER than Tina and Aretha. Come on guys, listen to her without seeing a video behind the music. I’m not impressed, and I’m not alone.

Why is it always who is better than who? Why can’t Tina be who she is in her own right and Beyonce the same. This are both “Beautiful” black women who have accomplished a lot in their lives and given black people a good look world round. Kanye sometimes speak without examing “how” what he is saying will be interpreted. I am sure he did not mean “better than” in the sense of “better than”, but in a sense that she has attained the same standing in the music arena if not a little more following than Tina.
Hey let’s show “both” our great ladies some love in being able to obtain what they so rightfull deserve for their talents and efforts.
No Way!! She is not better than Tina. If anything she is “TRYING” to be just like her. Beyonce, can’t think of anything on her own she’s always copying someone else.
