Where’s Tamar? OK, let me back up a bit – Remember Tamar? She’s the hot singer Prince was showcasing last year with the release of his CD, 3121. Tamar was supposed to be his new sizzling protégé, coming with a solo project, Milk & Honey on Slowtown – I mean Motown. She even got major write-ups in VIBE and other major magazines.

Well a year has since past with Prince now promoting Planet Earth and it seems like Tamar has all but fallen off the planet. Milk & Honey never came out – or if it did, it went straight aluminum and quickly plummeted into the cut-out bins. As for Prince’s recent concerts, he’s been shining light now on another fiery vocalist — Shelby Johnson.

So has Tamar bit the dust like other forgettable Prince female protégés – Apollonia, Taja Seville, Ingrid Chavez – never to be heard from again, or has she linked up with some other producer?
