Who is Sasha Fierce? Is it some rakish drag queen doing his best lip-sync performance of Ru Paul’s “Supermodel (You Better Work)” or some all purple suit donning pimp, wearing platform shoes and a white fur coat? Well it’s neither.
Sasha Fierce is Beyoncé’s new alter-ego that she’ll unveil on her upcoming two disc, I Am . . . Sasha Fierce, according to Billboard magazine. Dropping on Nov. 18, one disc will showcase her pop side with songs written by Amanda Ghost and E. Kidd Bogart, while the other one will highlight her R&B roots with songs produced by Jim Jonsin, Tricky Stewart and Bangladesh.
OK, why am I not all excited? I love the alter-ego name, Sasha Fierce. I just wished that the concept behind it had more imagination than the “pop versus R&B.” Guess I was hoping for something more outlandish like David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust or Janelle Monae’s Cindi Mayweather – you know, something for futuristic and edgy to give justice to the alter-ego’s name. I bet lil sis, Solange could pull off a this off much better.
What are your thoughts?

i love it and am looking forward to the album coming out…i love the single “if i were a boy” so if thats an indication of what the album will be like then im all for it…. the alter ego thing is fun cause i feel that we all have different personas that come out at certain times…

I absolutely can’t wait for her to come back, sick of Rihanna. lol. And as for the person that wrote the article, that’s just your opinion and we all are entitled to one. Can we say Multiple Personalities. Something is wrong with that picture. if you are truly talented there is no need to created an alta EGO as she says.She is no songstress only a presenter. Music is not what it use to be back in the day. I like what Diana Ross said on the Tribute to her, you do not have to dress provactive in order to sell records. Which I strongly believe.
She is an ARTIST, and artists like to express themselves and reinvent their look, style, persona, etc. I am partial, as I am a huge fan, so I can’t wait for the next album to drop!

I love the chosen name for her alter ego. Beyonce is a phenomenal singer/ actress/ dancer/ and producer. She is the best at everything she decides to do and i am sooooo excited for her new album!!!! it comes out 12 days before my b-day and Im gettn it as a present!!!!!!!!!! i cant wait to hear it!!!! it will be something that will be forever remembered especially by me!!!!! i have a feeling that her songs will be emotionally deep and thought provoking with a beyonce twist!!!!!!!!!

CIARA ANNOUNCED ABOUT FANTASY RIDE BEING A 3 DISC ALBUM AND NOW SHE IS OUT WITH A DOUBLE DISC ?? WHAT’S UP WITH BEYONCE COMMON GUYS. SOMETIMES FOLKS NEED TO CHILL , SOMETIMES IT’S NOT ALL ABOUT FAME AND MONEY. SHE CAN LET THESE UPCMING ARTIST ENJOY THE SPOTLIGHT.
