Whitney Houston is Not a Morning Person

Published by Dior Noir on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at 3:00 pm.

Whitney Houston is all set up for a comeback but according to Page Six the singer refuses to exercise her pipes early in the morning.

When she appears on Good Morning America in September apparently Whitney will not be singing live for the 7:30am performance, instead the song will be pre-taped the day before.

Newbie singers might be forced to actually sing live, but according to Page Six’s sources because Whit is such an icon the producers couldn’t say no to the arrangement. “She’s the music ‘get’ of the season. They are so happy to have her,” an insider said.

I wonder if she’s really not a fan of the AM or if her voice is just too shot to pull off that early of a performance?  While she was once regarded as “The Greatest Voice of All” Whitney has recently drawn criticism that her voice is also cracked, and she can’t hit her high notes the way she used to. Lackluster performances of her own hits such as “I Will Always Love You” (which she’s been singing at medium power instead of sanging and blowing the top notes at high octaves like she’s done in the past) have made some wonder if her voice will ever be the same again.

Either way,  it seems the diva is back.

LEAVE WHITNEY ALONE. She’s human!… Everyone is entitled to make some good or bad decisions in their life. Just because she doesn’t want to sing in the morning doesn’t give anyone the right to make wise cracks about her ability. So no, she didn’t want to sing in the morning, but her decision was fine with the producer of the establishment she was hired to perform for. SO EVERYBODY WINS. Let it go, she’s BACK… thats all that really matters.

I love Whitney Houston! When she was going through hard times I never said any thing bad about her, she’s human and we all make bad decisions in our life. I wish her a sucessful comeback!

I’m not a hardcore Whitney fan, but everyone’s voices change as they age. Throughout his life, Michael Jackson’s changed at least 3 times.

You know regardless of the mistakes she has made she is still and wll always be one of the greatest singers in the world. She earned her title and deserves it as well. Jus like micheal jackson regardless of his issue he will always be the king of pop. Give respect where respect is deserved.. God bless u whitney and ur family. Keep ur head up high and god will continue to bless u!!

Cracked/aged voice or not, Whitney Houston can STILL sing better then 95% of the so-called “artists” that have recorded/signed record deals within the past 15-20 years. I’m all for the advancement of music and am open for change but the talent just isn’t what it use to be and it seems as though people will buy/listen to anything.

I hope that Whitney’s new CD is a success (although I’m slightly skeptical with the likes of Akon producing one of her songs…).

Good Morning! “Whitney Houston is not a morning Person.”

Andrew Shawe Said on August 7th, 2009

The bottom line is that you can not beat ” Father Time ” meaning everybody gets old and can’t perform like they use to whether it is exercise, various other sports, dancing, and singing. Believe me I know. You can not stop the laws of physic. Maybe, you can slow up time a bit but you can not stop it. The only thing you can do is go for the ride and enjoy it as best as you can in style. So, good luck whitney.

Keisha Bee Said on August 7th, 2009

Whitney’s voice will always belong to her. Good or not so good, no one can deny her voice when it is at its best. So, buy the CD and blog later.

Sam Spade Said on August 13th, 2009

Whitneys voice is shot. Cant hit the high notes anymore
