Boycotting Kanye And Is He Taking a Break?

Kanye West continues to feel the fury from the world over his antics at the VMA’s.

As if it weren’t enough to be cursed out by both Pink and Katy Perry, Kanye has also gotten it from the likes of Pitbull and Marsha Ambrosius from Floetry.

It seems everyone and their aunty as something to say about Kanye West this week. No seriously even my aunt sent a text asking me what the hell was wrong with ‘Ye.

And now others are joining in on the fray.

Donald Trump has called for a boycott of all things Kanye “so this kind of thing doesn’t happen again.” And Donald doesn’t think his outburst had anything to do with Beyonce per se.

He said, “He couldn’t care less about Beyonce. It was grandstanding to get attention.”

This is the same man who disrespected Rosie O’Donnell. Besides, Kanye is a true Beyonce stan. Next.

Papa Joe Jackson chimed in with:

I don’t know what he was doing, he jumped up on stage and snatched that microphone out of that poor girl’s hand. They should blackball him out of show business for that. He just leapt up there, that was bad.

I had just gotten through speaking to him, he was introducing me to his girlfriend, and then three minutes later he jumped up on stage. And people booed Kanye all night.”

I have three words for Joe Jackson: Ranch House Records.

If that weren’t enough editor of the New York Post’s PopWrap have called for a year long ban of Kanye West.

In a press release, Ryan Brockington and Jarett Wieselman wrote:

“This is just the latest in a long line of ridiculously overblown antics we’ve been treated to by the rapper and we here at PopWrap have had enough. Sure he apologized, but now he needs to atone. Feel free to link metaphorical arms with us and boycott the blowhard. Prove to Kanye that his abhorrent actions have consequences! So have a nice life Kanye, because we’re not interested anymore.”

Has the New York Post ever atoned for any of the salacious, sometimes racist, a little bit sexist comments made over the years? I thought so.

As wrong as Kanye West was, aren’t these calls for boycotts a bit extra?

And if things weren’t bad enough for the dude who should’ve kept his self in his seat, now President Obama has chimed in. Apparently he made an “off the record” remark to an ABC reporter that was then tweeted (how professional) in which he called Kanye a “jackass.”

Even if it’s true, shouldn’t he talking about health care reform or something? There’s no such thing as an “off the record” remark when you’re President. He could’ve said that talk when he got home to Michelle.

I can only imagine how Kanye must feel right now. He’s definitely still wrong, but he’s got everyone from random two hit wonders to the leader of the free world clowning him.

At least he knows he did wrong. On The Jay Leno Show Kanye said:

“I don’t try to justify it because I was just in the wrong. That’s period. But I need to, after this, take some time off and just analyze how I’m going to make it through the rest of this life, how I’m going to improve. Because I am a celebrity, and that’s something I have to deal with. And if there’s anything I could do to help Taylor in the future or help anyone, I’d like — you know, I want to live this thing.”

Kanye appeared on the debut of The Jay Leno Show last night (what a huge debut for Jay Leno!), emotional and seeming extremely regretful.  When Leno asked what his mother would think of the incident, West clammed up and on the verge of tear.  “I need to, after this, take some time off and just analyze how I’m going to make it through the rest of this life, how I’m going to improve.”  He received a good response from the audience — let’s see if this will be some helpful damage control.

‘Ye performed “Run This Town” with Jay-Z and Rihanna, her first television appearance in months.

some of you are missing the complete point. This has nothing to do with race and nothing to do with if beyonce should have won or not. Many people who want to boycott Kanye have said that beyonce should have won. That’s what happens in award shows everyone that you think is deserving is not going to win. Just because it was MTV does not make them racist against Kanye. There is a time in a place for everything and that was disgusting what he did. Kanye’s antics for attention are getting so old and he keeps making these apologies for everything he does yet he continues to show how ignorant he is. We accept his apology and keep feeding into is over grown ego and he asks the same. Thats why people want to boycott him. He needs to know that these type of actions are not tolerated. I’m not a fan of Taylor swift, in fact the night of the VMA’s was my first time hearing of her but it is not a matter of being a fan or being racist, it has to deal with respect. He needs to learn that and what he did was wrong. I do not console him he is grown man. He knew what he was doing and it was just another way to get attention.

Kanye should be forgiven-Truth be told, In my opinion no Taylor is not as good as “B” and will never be.. But Kanye was the only one bold enough to speak on it….Heck, I was thinking the same thing, from the comfort of my own home…I may have taken a different approach but “We must give credit when credit is due” MTV this is all BS!!!
Has anyone thought about Freedom of Speech, Taylor my dear this will not be the last time things are said to you or about you to hurt your feelings so learn to brush things off, make your money and move on…Beyonce, Ur Ego showed that night, you turned the other cheek and showed the World How You To Get “em To Put A Ring On It”"” I just love my People…..Peace Haters

Kanye makes us (Black People) all look bad. We already have ppl judging us, dispite our actions. This just gives other ppl (of any race )who have formed opions of us a reason to feel that way. Go to Country Music Television site (CMT) and see the racist remarks left on the blog. We cant stop ppl from being ignorant…but we can stop living up to their ideas of us. Dont let them win!

please ,please people ,stop being TOO emotional. there is a positive side to the incident: i did not know taylor before…now i do, along with millions of others, she’s more famous. kanye’s got his exposure ,good or bad that’s his problem! people are still talking about Vma which is a good point for Mtv: more people wanna see it again and again which is an amazing exposure for the sponsors. Got the PICTURE people?? please go to school or go to work and think about your future instead or maybe let’s focus on sir wilson who yelled at a president of AMERICA in the middle of his speech, this is more important !
THANKS

y do we black people always pull the race card?? everything is not black and white get over it everyone that criticizes kanye are just people with class and respect for their peers. if you want to talk about everything everyone else is done go find the blog about them and talk about it there. I dont feel sorry for this loser. He just finally realizes that his already crappy career is about to go to sh*t. Kanye knows that we already are aware of his ignorance so he thinks that things like this are expected from him but this is TOO MUCH. i dont care about what taylor swift has done in the past that whole ordeal is wrong. She’s 19 and kanye is going on 40. He needs to grow up. He’s a coward and a punk cause i guarantee you he wouldn’t have pulled that on anybody that would have kicked his a**

Who cares about that white girl. KANYE WAS BEING REAL. Remember when he gave his award to Outkast when he thought they were more deserving of it? Aint nobody saying Taylor shoulda gave her award to Beyonce but everybody needs to leave Kanye alone. And wtf Obama?? There is so many things that you should be concerned about instead of this sh*t.

Kanye is constantly causing scenes everywhere. He is obnoxious and needs to think before he speaks. He is on such an ego trip.
Obviously his mom’s death has been the cause of his strange behavior, he needs help and MAYBE his so called girlfriend is not a great influence, how could she stand on the Red Carpet with him as he held a bottle in his hands? Any girl or wife would have made him realize how classless it appeared.
Meanwhile, it’s not a good idea for him to attend ANY Awards shows.
As for Lil Mama, she needs to calm down and also stay away from Awards shows!

time for black America to focus EXCLUSIVELY on black America and the/a black movement WORLDWIDE!!

Beyonce is a class act for what she did for Taylor, she has been raised well, great character, thoughtful, sincere and strong.
She was not intimadated by the friendship between Kanye, her and Jay, she did what she thought was RIGHT!

FIRST OF ALL! Kanye does not speak for all African Americans. Kanye’s actions do not represent the overall voice of the African American community. This scenario had more to do with tact than anything else. Kanye stated a fact when he grabbed the $*$. In the past we all have had artist that that we felt were more deserving of an award loose it to someone else. It just was not handled the same way. I think his beef was truly with those that control who is awarded. This is not the first time something like this has happened. It seems as though he is being persecuted for actually speaking out about the “Pink Elephant in the room”. What Kanye said was factual and warranted! He just could have picked a more appropriate platform to do so. If he is punished by what ever means, fine, show everyone that this is the type of treatment that you can look forward to when you disrespect and publicly humiliate one of your peers and disgrace your craft. But when the smoke settles turn your attention to the source and hold them responsible as well.

Kanye, just loss his position as positive figure in the business. Sure everyone has problems. 4 dozens red rose with an apology. We live in a society that teaches us to forgive. Whats up?
