The Tiger Woods Mistress Wants a Personal ApologyPublished by Dior Noir on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 3:00 pm.
Tiger Woods has finally broken his silence today for the first time since his November car crash that resulted in all his mistresses stumbling out of the closet, and at least one of them didn’t think his 15 minute staged appearance–before a small group of friends, family and media in Florida– was enough.
“I would be open to a telephoned apology from Tiger but I really feel that I deserve to look at him in person, face to face, in the eyes because I did not deserve this,” Joslyn James, the adult film star who claims to have had a three year relationship with Woods, told E! News.
Umm did she miss the part where she was sleeping with a married man? I’m not sure what he would have to apologize to her for, but I guess she thought she was special? Sit down!
As for Tiger, he said he’ll be taking a sit down too and is headed back to sex therapy tomorrow. “I was unfaithful. I had affairs. I cheated. What I did was not acceptable and I am the only person to blame,” Woods said (yawn, yeah we knew that).
“I thought I could get away with whatever I wanted to. I felt that I had worked hard my entire life and deserved to enjoy all the temptations around me. I felt I was entitled. Thanks to money and fame, I didn’t have to go far to find them. I was wrong. I was foolish,” Woods continued (there we go, now that’s keeping it real).
“I know I have bitterly disappointed all of you,” Woods said. “I’m embarrassed that I have put you in this position. For all that I have done, I am so sorry.”
Tiger’s apology was pretty weak and I would even say unnecessary, though it seems to have served it’s underlying main purpose: smoothing things over with the sponsors (Nike already released a statement that they’re throwing their support behind him). But though he’s trying to protect his endorsement assets he doesn’t owe the public, or that team of mistresses anything! The real person he needs to keep throwing his “I’m sorrys” to is his wife!
