Beyonce’s Bringing the Heat: New Perfume Sell Millions in First Month!

Beyoncerecenly hit some new high notes–of the vanilla orchid, magnolia, neroli and peach variety–with her first fragrance “Heat” and she’s already getting a wiff of the sweet smell of success.

Macy’s CEO Terry Lundgren just revealed that his chain sold has sold $3 million worth of the scent since its launch in February. At the launch alone, Bankable Bey moved  72,000 bottles of the perfume when she signed autographs for fans!

 With the oversaturation of celeb scents on the shelves (Diddy and 50 and Ashanti, oh my), good for Beyonce for putting her name on a fragrance that’s selling like tickets to her concerts!

I will not be buying this. I refuse to buy anything this woman puts out. I can’t believe she considers herself a role model for young girls when all she does is shake her goodies around on stage (single ladies) and have lyrics like “A diva is the female version of a hustler.” (Diva). wtf is this teaching our young ladies? Shortly after it came out, I heard a 3 year old girl (I work with kids) mouth off at a Teacher’s Assistant saying: “I don’t have to do that, I’m a DIVA!” Wtf? Beyonce needs to clean up her act and stop giving young girls the message that only a little talent + a lot of sex appeal is what’s needed to get on in the world.
