Kanye West is dialing back his very public romance with Kim Kardashian just a bit. The rapper is denying a recent report that he’s so sprung on the reality star that he’s referring to her as (gag) his “Beyoncé.”

Yeezy tells Us Weekly, “…of course there are a lot of media inaccuracies surrounding this past couple of weeks, especially the ‘She’s my Beyonce’ quote. I would never compare anyone to my friend’s wife.”

“Come on now, that doesn’t even sound like me,” he adds. “If I don’t say something in a rap or on Twitter, it’s not true.”

There’s no need to point out the 1.1 million ways Kim is nothing like our Bey (that would be a little bit cruel, don’t ya think?), but we’re glad Jay-Z laid the smack down Kanye distanced himself from the ridiculous comment, which already has it’s own SNL spoof.

Meanwhile, Kardashian is reaching for the throne…er, the key to the city of Glendale by declaring she’s planning her bid for mayor of the Los Angeles suburb. She’s totally serious, y’all, so get those lawn signs and campaign buttons ready!
