Allen Iverson Seeking to Have Estranged Wife ArrestedPublished by Natasha Fierce on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 10:00 am.
The tables have turned — again — in the divorce drama between Allen Iverson and his ex-wife Tawanna.
A few months ago, the NBA player was asking a judge to call off his divorce, saying that he and Tawanna had reconciled (sort of) and resumed “normal” husband-wife relations. Last month Tawanna filed a restraining order against AI, claiming he had been harassing and threatening her. Now, TMZ reports the former Philadephia 76ers MVP wants the court to lock her up and throw away the key.
Iverson claims in court papers that Tawanna ransacked his Atlanta, Georgia home while he was overseas, stealing memorabilia, art, furniture, other knick-knacks and a large sum of cash, and now he wants her arrested for contempt, at least until she gives him his stuff back.
The couple, who met in high school and have five children, have seen their marriage dissolve over the past year amid allegations of infidelity and harassment. Clearly there’s still passion between these two, so we say give it a shot on Couples Therapy! If that doesn’t work, they should hang up the gloves for good.
