Donald Trump Isn’t Racist; He Picked Arsenio HallPublished by on Monday, June 4, 2012 at 10:00 am.
Oh boy. Donald Trump’s racism is showing again. Or is it?
Since Mitt Romney has clinched the Republican nomination to run against President Obama, Trump has thrown his support behind the candidate by retreading the tired birther issue… and this time he has proof his motivations aren’t racist.
Speaking to the North Carolina Republican Convention, he explained that his motivation in proving that President Obama was not born in the US is not about the president’s skin color.
“Somebody said, ‘Oh, because I brought up the birth certificate,’” said Trump. “’I’m a racist.’ I said, ‘How can I be a racist, I just picked Arsenio Hall.”
A laughable response, in the same racist vein as, “Some of my best friends are Black.”
But Trump, while astute at business, is too thick-headed to see that questioning an American-born Black man’s citizenship (after it’s been proven twice) — just to appeal to rabid racist Republican — is, well, EFFING RACIST!
But, hey, we’re still glad Arsenio Hall won Celebrity Apprentice.
