Cynthia Bailey Shuts Down Rumors Hubby Peter Thomas Was Involved in Apollo Nida ScamPublished by on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 9:30 am.
It appears that more Real Housewives of Atlanta cast members are getting snared in the web of Apollo Nida’s alleged fraud scam. This time it’s Cynthia Bailey’s husband Peter Thomas, who’s wife vehemently denying his involvement in the matter.
In an interview with Sister 2 Sister magazine, Thomas admitted he was shocked when Nida’s arrest was reported online. “I don’t know nothing about it,” he said. “I have absolutely no comment on his arrest. I just have to wait, like everyone else, to see how it plays out.”
But Thomas’ wife didn’t waste anytime killing any rumors or reports that her man had anything to do with the scandal. “I can’t speak on Apollo, but I can say that Peter Thomas doesn’t have anything to do with a bank fraud scandal to my knowledge,” Bailey said in a talk with Jet Magazine. “The feds are not sitting outside of our house. That is just not accurate information …”
As been reported, Nida was arrested on January 23 (and later released) after being accused of overseeing a fraud scheme of establishing fake companies to steal individuals’ personal information, which was used to open fraudulent bank accounts. Once opened, the accounts were used to deposit stolen checks.
No matter how things turn out whether Peter was involved or not, you have to give it to his lady for standing for her man… and killing suspicions early.
