Keri Hilson is well aware of her perception problems with the public at large. In fact, the singer recently revealed that she feels many view her as a “super-conceited b*tch.” The singer-songwriter says she knows her lyrics might be giving people the wrong idea.

The Atlanta native told Attitude magazine: “What you might hear is a super-conceited b*tch, but I want you to feel the confidence, to feel that way about yourself. I don’t even have that confidence most days — I have to listen to my own song!”

Although she acknowledges her music might make some wince, in the end she believes she’s helping women feel comfortable in their own skin. Keri claimed, “I love to teach women that they should feel confident and feel good about themselves for themselves.”

A wave of shade was thrown in the direction of Kim Kardashian over the weekend weekend in response to the reality star becoming Mrs. Kris Humphries on Saturday.

A select number of your friends seemed to be engorged with so much salt over Kim’s nuptials that they could’ve given half the hemisphere a stroke.  Why? Well, it seems some folks just can’t seem to get over that sex tape she made with Ray J more than four years ago.

That kind of resentment is why ridiculous rumors like one concerning Kim and one of her ex-boyfriends were so easily believed.  Radar Online reported that Ray told Kim via text, “And to think you really have me to thank for all this ”

Of course, that makes not a lick of sense. Regardless of what many of you think, yes, that sex tape boosted Kardashian’s name but that fame train was going to run no matter what.

Well, it appears that Ray J has no hard feelings towards Kim and didn’t want to join in on the insults.  Ray tweeted, “Damn everybody leave Kim alone!! Let her be happy!! Stop hittin me wit all this BS!!”

Back in summer 2003, Kobe Bryant faced the nadir of his professional life following a 19-year-old hotel employee accusing him of sexual assault.

Since beating that charge, Kobe has managed to stay out of legal trouble and go back to enjoying all of the endorsement deals that make non-hoopers sob at night. Now someone is ready to give his publicist a headache once again after accusing the Los Angeles Laker of injuring him during an altercation at church.

Yes, that’s right, someone is saying Kobe knucked and bucked in the House of the Lord.

San Diego police want to talk with the Laker’s star following an incident which reportedly happened on Sunday at St Therese of Carmel Church in Carmel Valley.

The man has accused Bryant of grabbing a cellphone from him and injuring his wrist during the scuffle.

Bryant reportedly though the man was taking photos of him and his wife, Vanessa, but after snatching the device, realized there were no pictures and handed it back.

The unidentified man went to hospital for treatment following the alleged incident.

Bryant has not been charged with any wrongdoing.

Wait. This dude tried to snap a photo of Kobe Bryant while at church?  You know, the very place false idolatry is hugely frowned upon. And on top of that, all this guy claims is injured is his wrist? Even if this were true, Kobe seemed to be within reason to smite thee.

It seems that the press is going to throw every break up rumor it can at Jennifer Lopez and her soon to be third ex-husband, Marc Anthony, until one of them confirms what exactly ended their marriage.

There were rumors of infidelity, financial troubles and now, the talk has turned to religion. According to one British tabloid, Scientology broke up J.Lo and Marc. A source said: “Jennifer and Marc couldn’t see eye-to-eye on the subject. She’s always been more into the church than him. He wasn’t a huge fan and it caused problems.”

Jennifer Lopez previously said of Scientology, “I just wish that people wouldn’t judge it without knowing what it is.”  The rumor mill said once Jenny wanted to send their twins to a specialist Scientology school, Marc was livid.

I’m sure the next rumor will be that Marc got fed up with Jennifer after she nagged him about gaining weight. After that one report will claim the two had to be pulled apart once J.Lo got word that Marc was thinking about joining The X Factor. Feel free to contribute to your own rumor, too. As legend has it, Rihanna has been “bombarding” Joe Jonas with text messages described as “raunchy.” Apparently, Rih-Rih wants to turn out the squeaky clean pop star. How squeaky clean? He once made headlines across the world for rocking a purity ring. And you know, for being a part of some huge boy band and dating Kanye West’s homegirl, Taylor Swift.

Gossip mongers say such chastity has piqued the “S&M” singer’s interest. A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “They met when Joe did a song with Rihanna’s ex Chris Brown and recently she’s been bombarding him with raunchy text messages.” The source adds, “She keeps laughing to her mates that she wants to take him on the wildest ride of his life.”

In related news, Trey Songz is denying reports that Ursula the Sea Witch is carrying his seed – explaining that it’s actually Sleeping Beauty getting rest at his bedside. Oh and Ciara, she’s totally not dating Winnie the Pooh anymore. He dropped her for Keri Hilson…or Ricky Martin. Who can remember anymore?

Kanye West has made his affinity for models painfully clear time and time again (and then another encore), but in the rapper’s latest model-themed story he’s not the one doing the chasing.

Page Six says one ex-beauty queen has been following Kanye all across New York. The gossip column says Miss Universe Albania 2010, Angela Martini, was linked to West in the Spring but fails to understand we’re at the end of summer and her time is up. Page Six says Martini was banned from the recent Watch the Throne album launch after party days ago.

And proving she’s still quite pressed, sources say Martini got close to one of West’s producers so she could get an in at a previous listening party. Once ‘Ye got word, he shut her out from the after party. A month ago, the Elite Model rushed over to Greenhouse for Rihanna’s after party when she found out Kanye was there.

The thirst continues as a source says, “She eats at his favorite restaurant, Niko, near his SoHo apartment just to bump into him. She says they’re in love.” That’s what all stalkers say until they get their restraining order. Give it up, turn it loose, Martini.

A British tabloid claims Rihanna is back with her old boyfriend. No, not the goofy one into pop locking or the pretty boy baseball player. Actually, The Sun claims Rihanna is back with ex Negus Sealy. If you don’t know who that is, it’s because it’s her first boyfriend and they dated in 2006 – before you really cared about Rih-Rih.

Rihanna and Negus were spotted dancing while at the Kadooment Day festival in Barbados. A source said, “Negus has hardly left her side. He was her first true love. The ladies here all love him – they call him the Love God.” And I’d like to call those women corny – every single one of them.

The source added, “They’ve hooked up in the past when she’s been back in Barbados but now things have progressed into a proper relationship again.” And another added: “They were all over each other and their dancing got very hot and heavy.”

No offense, but if you’ve seen pictures of Rihanna at that festival she was “hot and heavy” with anyone breathing within her vicinity. I say that in the best way possible. She had a red cup in her hand, it was a party – you know how it is.

Queen Latifah believes women don’t need to show their goods in order to get a man. The Single Ladies creator opened about this during an interview with Jamie Foster Brown. The two talked largely about Queen La’s success, but Queen took a detour in order to address the thirst found in a woman near you.

She explained:

“I just like ladies who have class. Period. And if it’s “T and A” you’re sellin’, that’s fine, as long as that’s what you’re selling. But you don’t have to show everything, you know? You can hold some back and just be yourself and let your personality shine and let your individuality show. To me, that’s sexier. A confident woman is a sexy woman, in my opinion. And I think guys find that to be the same way.”

Do you hear that? It’s the sound of a thousand of butt-baring Twitter years sucking their teeth in response.

Latifah continued hammering at the point, though:

“You don’t have to show everything; you don’t have to put it all out there to attract a guy. Because what kind of guy are you gonna attract? What is he really looking for? If you wanna be a booty call, I guess you can throw it all out there. (laughs) But if you’re looking for a relationship with someone who respects you and respects things other than your body—your mind, your spirit, your personality, your smile—then you have to kind of exude that more so than just yo’ booty and yo’ titties.”

So folks: Should ladies pull their skirts and bras up or do they need to simply be more careful about where they aim? I am gonna shoot for the former, but if you’re still planning to do the latter, I won’t judge you. I’ll just wish you love (of self), peace (of mind), and plenty of protection sold to you (you’ll need it).

Though she’s no longer here to defend herself, a rep for Amy Winehouse is trying to clear up some of the recent rumors that have surfaced following the singer’s untimely death.

One of the more interesting stories was one that claimed Winehouse was trying to adopt a 10-year-old St. Lucian girl.

The story was originally from the U.K. publication The Sunday Mirror. The paper reported that Dannika Augustine and her grandmother both confirmed that Amy was about to begin the adoption process – and that both of Dannika’s parents were supportive of the plan.

However, a rep explained to TMZ, “It’s not true,” and added, “I think [Amy] might have met her in St. Lucia, but she was in no way about to adopt her.”

Translation: Those folks sold a story for some pounds.

And with all due respect to Amy, who on Earth would let her adopt a child given her last few years?

If Bishop Eddie Long thought his days of bad press were over, he should watch Fox 5 News in Atlanta. While he reportedly reached a multimillion dollar settlement with the four men who accused him of sexual misconduct, the local Fox affiliate has revealed that there was a fifth man also claiming to have had sexual relations with the Georgia preacher. Enter Centino Kemp in all his burgundy colored-hair glory.

Kemp is an aspiring singer working on an album ironically written from the perspective of a jilted lover. Kind of like one long version of “Not Gon’ Cry,” only without the singing ability. Fox 5 caught up with Kemp, but he wouldn’t answer direct questions about the good bishop. He did show off that permanent homage to Long tattooed on his wrist, though.

The 22-year-old is shown in the clip being transported back and forth to the studio in limousine — I’m assuming as a tribute to the 1990s. I wonder where he got the money for that.
