Halle Berry is gorgeous, talented and a history-making Academy Award winner, but even she admits that pregnancy gives a woman major day-to-day limitations.
Berry, who is now expecting her second child, a baby boy with husband Olivier Martinez, says that being in the family way this time around made reprising her role as Storm in the upcoming movie, X-Men: Days of Future Past a little harder than usual.
The 46-year-old actress kept it real with U.K.-based magazine Total Film, “I wasn’t in [the movie] as much as I was meant to be. [Pregnancy] kind of colored what my involvement could be, which was why I was one of the first ones in and the first ones out.”
Another issue she faced during the blockbuster production was her rapidly morphing figure. “My ever-growing belly was posing a constant challenge!” she says. “What I could do was getting more limited, so the role I play is so different from what it could have been, due to my surprise pregnancy.”
But it wasn’t all so bad. Berry does credits her great workout regime and good living habits for making the overall body changes and her work load transition a wee bit easier for her.
“There’s no secret, I’ve just lived a healthy lifestyle,” Berry continues. “I only work out like three times a week, 30 minutes a pop. That and good clean living. As I’m getting older it’s just paying off.”
Okay, so apparently this is just yet another reason to wish we were Halle Berry.
