The term diva has followed pop icon Mariah Carey for twenty years. Even her hubby Nick Cannon lovingly called his wife the four letter word on Anderson Live last week when discussing the pair’s various parenting styles of twins Moroccan and Monroe.

Apparently the American Idol judge is taking pampering “‘Dem Babies” to a whole new level. We’ve all heard the stories of the Cannon babies donning designer baby shoes, sleeping in imported Italian crib linens and bathing in bubble baths filled only with bottled water. The print edition of Star Magazine is now reporting that Mimi spends $1900 for 16-ounce jars of La Mer moisturizer for Roc and Roe’s bottoms as diaper cream.

For those not in the know, La Mer is a very pricey facial moisturizer that usually sells at $150 an ounce. Sources close to Carey say, “Nothing is too good for Mariah’s babies. She probably spends more than $6000 a month on the lotion alone so the kids don’t have diaper rash.”

But despite her lavish lifestyle Carey is not a wasteful diva. She reportedly uses whatever is leftover of the cream on her own face.

You’ve got to love Mimi. She lives in her own pampered world and she’s apparently loving it. Hey, you might too if you had Mariah’s style of pop princess loot to spend.

Remember back in 2003 when it seemed actor Ben Affleck appeared to have been abducted by the body snatchers? And in his place was some other guy who was dating Jennifer Lopez, starring in her videos and making really bad movies, like Gigli and Daredevil? Well, it turns out Affleck felt that way too.

The actor turned director got confessional with Details magazine and admitted he wasn’t really “that” dude. “I got shorthanded as That Guy: Jennifer Lopez, movies bombed, therefore he must be sort of a thoughtless dilettante, solipsistic consumer blahblahblah…” Affleck told Details. “If you were looking at that one-liner on me in 2003, which was definitely the anns horribilis [laughs] of my life…I don’t know what the lesson is except you have to find your compass.”

So it wasn’t exactly all Lopez’s fault, but him slathering tanning oil on her body in the “Jenny From the Block” video wasn’t exactly a high point for him as an actor. Affleck also explained how he was able turn things around during that phase of his life.

“I just said, I don’t want to do it anymore. This is horrible. I don’t want to be in this spotlight, this glare, this way,” Affleck told Details. ” It’s tawdry, it’s ugly it’s oppressive and it’s inane. So I’m going to try to get away.”

And nine years, three children and a successful marriage to his  actress wife Jennifer Garner later he did. No offense, J.Lo.

The couple that earns together, stays together.

Apparently.

Mr and Mrs. Jigga (Jay-Z and Beyoncé) collectively made $162 million in the past year, topping all the other celeb couples who also make big bucks, according to Forbes. Will and Jada Pinkett Smith took the No. 2 slot, with $85 million earned together, while David and Victoria Beckham rounded out the top three with annual earnings of $58 million. “Naturally, powerful people tend to gravitate toward other powerful people,” clinical psychologist and celebrity researcher Jim Houran tells the magazine.

Newlyweds Jay-Z and Beyonce shelled out $70,000 for a new table to furnish their apartment, which is located in Manhattan in the Tribeca neighborhood. The table is 9-feet long, 800 pound bronze and wood, and they got it from the Hudson Furniture boutique.

Can we get a dinner invite?

There’s at least one thing that R&B singer and actress Beyonce can’t do … cook.

She’s a tad concerned that her first Thanksgiving with hubby Jay-Z will be one that doesn’t come with a homemade spread. If mama’s over the phone kitchen help doesn’t work, she may have to order take out for the meal. Oh well. Guess Jay still loves her, flaws and all.

Janet Jackson has been released from the Royal Victoria
Hospital in Montreal but postponed her two upcoming shows on her “Rock Witchu”
tour. Her brief
hospitalization wasn’t serious enough to stop boyfriend Jermaine Dupri
from partying with T.I. in New York City, according to a report.

People reports:

“Yesterday evening she was checked into the Royal Victoria Hospital and left
a couple of hours later,” Rebecca Burns, the spokeswoman for the McGill University
Health Centre, which operates the hospital, told PEOPLE.

Jackson, 42, cancelled her show in Montreal on Monday and was taken to the hospital
after she “got suddenly ill” during her sound check, according to a
statement from W&W Public Relations.

Further details of the singer’s condition were not immediately available,
and reps for Jackson did not return requests for additional comment.

Jackson kicked off her Rock Witchu tour promoting her latest album, Discipline,
in Vancouver on Sept. 10.

Jackson has complained of exhaustion, a source close to boyfriend Jermaine Dupri
tells PEOPLE. “A 42-year-old body can’t handle what a 22-year-old body
can,” says the source. “I can tell you that she’s definitely tired.
It was probably exhaustion. She is doing back-to-back, three-hour shows, and her
body isn’t the same as it used to be.”

The same night that Jackson was rushed to the hospital, Dupri was spotted in New
York City partying at Patron’s Music in Motion Tour featuring TI at Marquee.
“If [Janet’s condition] was more serious he would’ve rushed to
her side,” added the source.

Janet is now “recuperating,” according to a release issued by her publicist.
No information about what Janet is recuperating from is offered though. However,
the singer’s tour stops in Boston (Oct. 1) and Philadelphia (Oct. 2) will
be rescheduled. The tour resumes in Greensboro, N.C on Saturday.
