Former Good Times actor Jimmie Walker’s stance on gay marriage is anything but dyn-o-mite.

The actor, who just penned a memoir called…you guessed it…Dyn-O-Mite, is bucking the growing trend of supporting equal rights for homosexuals and sticking to his conservative position.

“There’s just certain traditions that need to be upheld,” the 65-year-old told CNN. “I’m a believer that gay marriage should not be passed because the battle is not worth the war. The gay lobby is very loud. I’m totally against it.”

Gay lobby?  Is that the one with the shag carpet and gold framed portrait of Elton John?

He continues: “In 100 years from now, people are going to go, ‘Who was against gay marriage?’ And I’ll be one of those idiots and say, ‘That’s me.’ I’m just against it on moral grounds, that’s it. I’m as much a heathen as anybody. I just don’t believe on moral grounds it should be done. I don’t like it, I don’t accept it.”

Well, at least he admits he’ll probably look like an idiot in 100 years (though, chances are it won’t take that long). But his vague reaction to the topic feels a lot like a five year old refusing to eat a vegetable simply because he doesn’t like the way it looks.

Of course, Walker is entitled to his opinions and he’s not shy to voice them — he recently told  another journalist that he doesn’t support President Barack Obama, saying “sometimes even a brother, you have to let him go,” — but, I wish he could elaborate further on these “moral grounds” he speaks of. The same ones that kept our forefathers in slavery?

Thankfully, the gay rights movement has plenty of support from Hollywood and hip hop, so we’ll leave Jimmie alone with his opinions.

Yikes! Serena Williams is recovering in Los Angeles today after emergency treatment for a blood clot in her lungs.

The tennis champ’s rep, Nicole Chabot, told People magazine that Serena had undergone treatment Monday for a condition which may or may not have been related to her continued foot problems:

“Monday Serena Williams underwent emergency treatment at Cedars for a hematoma she suffered as a result of treatment for a more critical situation,” the rep says in an exclusive statement.

“Last week, Serena suffered from a pulmonary embolism [a blood clot in the lungs] which was discovered upon her return to L.A. She had been in New York for doctor appointments for the ongoing issues with her foot.”

The rep added, “Doctors are continuing to monitor her situation closely to avoid additional complications.”

The powerhouse athlete was just spotted partying it up at Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party and Vanity Fair’s Oscars party this past Sunday, Feb. 27. Get well soon, Serena!
