A month after getting arrested for public drunkenness in a Canadian casino, comedian George Lopez re-emerged to say that, while Latinos are good holding their liquor, he’s not one of them. So he’s giving up drinking.
In February, Mr. Lopez was at the casino to do a performance. After having one too many, he was snagged by police after passing out, in of all places, on the casino floor. While no charges were filed against him it was reported that he was held in a cell to sleep off his intoxication.
This week, TMZ caught up with the iconic funny man to see where he stands on sobriety. “As long as you’re in my life, I’ll stay sober,” he told the reporter. Well, at least if you still want to get sloshed, just do it where no cameras are around.
