Janet Jackson may be marrying rich, but she could potentially divorce richer.

A UK newspaper reports that Jackson and her billionaire boyfriend Wissam Al Mana would already be married were it not for lawyers taking their time with the couple’s pre-nuptial agreement. Now, the lovebirds may be tired of waiting and decide to forego the formalities altogether.

That would make Jackson a very wealthy woman if, you know, happily ever after didn’t work out. Al Mana, who has amassed a fortune as an investor in major fashion brands and is part-owner of Saks Fifth Avenue franchises in the Middle East, is worth over one billion dollars, which means Jackson would get a payout of $500 million in the event of a divorce.

Sounds like a win-win situation.

Gladys Knight offered the ultimate wisdom in the Jackson family drama.

The singing legend appeared in CBS’s The Talk when the discussion turned to the tiff between Janet Jackson and niece Paris Jackson, daughter of Michael Jackson, who’d been tweeting family business.

Reportedly Janet slapped the 14-year-old, calling her a “spoiled little b****.” Paris responding by slapping her back and saying, “This is our house. Not the Jackson family house. Get the f*** out!”

Gladys , remembering the ways of the archetypal “big momma,” had this to say about the struggle: “It’s drama, that’s what it is. If you lived up under the microscope as this family does, everybody has dysfunctionality in their families, either one way or the other. See, I’m from the south and [we] was raised in that southern way. You have to understand Paris is what, 14? How old is Janet? Who’s the one who tries to direct the other one here? And I would think that it’s a good thing, she let’s Paris know who she is. She is a Jackson, she shouldn’t be putting the business out there like that. Cause people read into whatever they want to read into, that’s how they get the drama. So, she’s just trying to protect her, in a way. But if she [Paris] called me that, she wouldn’t have any teeth…You respect your elders.”

And Gladys ain’t lying. Many a Black adult-who-used-to-be-children know just what she was talking about… And apparently so did Janet (via poppa Joe Jackson). Only, in the age of social media, a possible tweet about a mere a** whooping could turn ugly fast… the way it has already done for the Jacksons.  However, Paris Jackson denied the slap ever happened.

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has no intentions of letting Janet Jackson off the hook for ad campaign she did for luxury mink company Blackglama back in July. In fact, they’re planning major protests outside of all stops on Janet’s “Number Ones, Up Close and Personal” global tour, which kicked off in the Philippines last week.

A spokeswoman for the organization told WENN, “Activists will be dressed as the Grim Reaper and hold signs that read, ‘Janet: Fur Is Dead’, as well as a banner that reads, ‘Janet: Animals Suffer and Die on Fur Farms’. “We’re there to remind the singer that fur cruelty is nasty.”

They started with a stand-off outside the Philippine International Convention Center in Manilla on February 4th during her first stop. Miss Jackson will trek to 35 cities worldwide (to coincide with her 35 number one hits) so the organization has their work cut out for them. That’s commitment to the cause, but do you think they’re doing too much?

In an interview set to air later this week on the Today show, Janet Jackson tells Meredith Viera that she “never, ever felt attractive.”

Janet is talking about her longstanding battles with self-esteem in order to promote her new book, True You: A Journey to Finding and Loving Yourself.

Janet says the constant teasing she received at the hands of her brothers – yep, even Michael – made her so self-conscious about her weight.

On the taunting, Janet explained: “I guess some people could say, ‘Oh that’s, you know, brothers and sisters joking, it’s all affection, it’s all, you know, it’s in a loving way.’ But not everybody can brush it off, and I was one of those.”

She says even at the time of Rhythm Nation, “I hated what I saw in the mirror. I would literally bang my head against the wall because I felt so ugly.”

She noted that while she still has her moments, “I’m in a much better space” now.

On the loss of her brother, Michael Jackson, Janet told Viera: “We had each other’s back. But, later on in life, certain things that he was going through … I tried to be there for him as much as I could.”

She elaborated: “There’s still not a day that goes by where I don’t think about him. Not one day. And — kind of pushing myself, forcing myself, to a certain degree, to get over this because it’s — it’s not the healthiest.”

Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but Janet Jackson has some body issues.

That fun repetitive fact aside, Janet is shedding some new light on her battles with body image problems in her new book. In promoting the pending memoir, Janet spoke with Health magazine.

Looking as beautiful as she wants to on the cover, here’s some of what she revealed:

On having her body criticized as a kid:

“When I did Good Times, they used to bind my chest because I was developing breasts at a young age… It immediately makes you think, ‘The way I am isn’t good enough.’ They thought I was too heavy and that I needed to lose weight. When I look back at the show, I was your average-size kid.”

On Hollywood’s obsession with weight:

“People tend to put entertainers on pedestals. We’re human beings, just like you… whether we have money or not, we still have bills to pay, we still have our stresses.”

On getting colonics at age 11:

“Once a month my mother would drive us to downtown L.A [for the procedure]. That played a big part in my life and career, because I learned at a very young age what discipline truly meant, to be able to pass up the French fries and the piece of candy.”

Colonics at 11 sounds like a reason to call CPS.

There’s talk that Janet Jackson is non too pleased with Oprah Winfrey.

Despite Damita Jo’s numerous appearances on the daytime talk show, it appears Janet might be vexed over Oprah staging an interview with her nieces and nephews.

No, not Jermajesty and them.  It’s Michael Jackson’s kids that seem to be the issue.

According to the New York Daily News, Janet “didn’t think the kids should have done it.”

And as you can see by that headline, the National Enquirer is co-signing this story.

If true, this is the very sentiment conveyed by her brother, Randy Jackson, who took to Twitter to state his gripe about Michael’s kids doing the interview.

Randy also didn’t like that Oprah aired a show on pedophilia during Michael’s child molestation trial. Kind of like how fans didn’t like how the episode featuring Katherine and Joe Jackson along with Michael’s kids followed another episode about sexual abuse.

Despite rumors to the contrary, Janet Jackson is not engaged to her billionaire boyfriend, Wissam al Mana.

During her appearance on Good Morning America yesterday, Janet shut down talk that she was ready to be a bride for the third time:

“He’s a very, very private man so I don’t talk about our relationship but I really think it’s important that I just say this: they’ve (the press) been trying to marry me off for a very, very long time. But I’m not engaged so I will say that.”

Of course, Janet’s also the kind to be married for several years and not tell anyone, but in this instance I think she’s telling the truth.

I see if the press couldn’t give Beyoncé a baby they’re going to try and give Damita Jo an engagement ring.

Indeed, In Touch says that Janet Jackson is engaged to her billionaire boyfriend, Iranian businessman Wissam Al Mana.

The couple started dating this spring and in recent weeks, the two have been spotted enjoying each other’s company at the finest resorts in the world.

Allegedly, Wissam got down on one knee and proposed to Janet with a 15-carat diamond ring.

Since they are “soul mates,” Janet said call me Mrs. Al Mana – allegedly.

While it certainly makes sense for anyone to marry a billionaire, I’ll believe they’re getting married in ten years when Janet finally acknowledges that they’ve been on at least three dates.

It seems Janet Jackson’s dude, billionaire Wissam Al Mana, has her smiling and “glowing” for all to see.

Page Six says their romance is heating up – as evidenced by one onlooker who spotted the two out on a date in New York last week.

They report:

They were spotted Tuesday dining at Rabbit in the Moon on West Eighth Street. “Janet was glowing. They had a corner table and were very cuddly. They seemed very much in love,” a spy said. “Wissam picked up the check, and when asked if they’d be back next week, they said they were flying to Paris for Fashion Week.”

Wissam is 35, so while I won’t call her a cougar, I am humming a special remix to “Black Cat” in my mind.

Janet reportedly met Wissam while performing in the Middle East last December.

Wissam is director of Al Mana Retail, a shareholder in Saks Fifth Avenue stores in Dubai, Doha, Bahrain and Kuwait.

So: He’s paid. Period.

Good for Janet.

Janet Jackson has been spotted yet again with rumored new boyfriend, Wissam al Mana.

The pop idol and millionaire industrialist were first seen in Port Cuervo last week and over the weekend photographers caught them in Sardinia, Italty.

They’ve been taking boat rides along the Italian coast while relaxing near the pool and their own villa.

Janet’s got her own money, but al Mana is also believed to be one of the wealthiest men in Qatar.

What recession (for them anyway)?
