Paris Jackson Wants to Restore Neverland

Paris Jackson has one definite plan when she becomes an adult: restore the King of Pop’s former kingdom, Neverland. Michael Jackson’s daughter told the Daily Mail she plans to bring back her dad’s estate, which was used to provide fun for sick and underprivileged children.

MJ began to lose his grip on Neverland when his finances started crumbling. After Jackson nearly lost the property twice to foreclosure, Colony Capital LLC stepped in to purchase the loan and eventually restructure it with Jackson only seven months before his death in 2009. While Colony still controls Neverland, Jackson estate still has 12.5 percent interest.

Paris wishes to begin her plans when she reaches adulthood. And she may be working with none other than Lady Gaga on the project. Gaga is reported interested in investing in the 3,000 acre Ranch along with Michael’s kids. They are planning on turning the property into a sanctuary for children and animals.

More power you, Paris. Neverland is apart of MJ’s legacy that should be preserved.

Lady Gaga Gets a Lifetime Movie

Published by Dior Noir on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 8:28 am.

Lifetime is for post break-up nights in with Ben & Jerrys and of course, now, Project Runway, but Lady Gaga on the network? Almost more random than the awesomely bad movies about ridiculous affairs and paternity battles that dominate the programming (almost), but sources tell EW it’s happening.

Gaga will be the subject of a made-for-TV movie called Fame Monster: The Lady Gaga Story, which Lifetime is developing based on the unauthorized book Poker Face: The Rise and Rise of Lady Gaga by New York Post writer Maureen Callahan. The pop star—who’s currently prepping for tour—isn’t actually involved herself.

No word on what part of her life this flick will focus on (will we see a fresh-faced Stefani Germanotta at NYU or a meat-wearing Gaga in crazy performances?) or when it will air but the network has already put out a casting call according to

“We are seeking an actress who can physically resemble Lady GAGA (see photo) and who can believably span ages 16 to 22. Singing is preferred but not required.”

Who should play Lady Gaga? Would you even watch this?

The Power of the Gay Following

Published by on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 1:50 pm.

(Photo: Andrew Walker/Getty Images)

On one hand, we live in a society that is still very homophobic despite some small progress. But ironically, the gay community drives some of pop culture’s leading trends. Even Samantha Jones in an episode of Sex and the City once said to budding actor Smith Jarrod, “First you win over the gays, then the teenage girls, then Hollywood will follow.” Tyra Banks, Kimora Lee and Naomi Campbell learned how to walk from a man, “Miss J” (J. Alexander). Patti LaBelle has a huge gay following, which was no surprise since her style borrowed a page from the book of drag queens. Derek J is one of the leading celebrity hairstylists in the country, probably the world, and the list goes on.

My point is, having a gay following can be beneficial to an artist’s career and while artists in the past may have gained said fans unintentionally, divas like Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga and even rapper Lil’ B, have purposefully made it work for themselves. Here’s why: People will like them for being pro gay, which opens up chances to perform more places, and people who are anti-gay will still track their every move because they want to track their enemy. In other words, it’s a hate crush.

Most celebrities in today’s pop culture get famous because they either hopped on any bandwagon that rode by or because there’s some shock factor attached to their schtick. Lil’ B named his debut album I’m Gay, which in theory could be career suicide for a rapper. However, it turned out to be a smart marketing move because Lil’ B’s whole existence is based on outrageous behavior. By declaring that he is “gay”—which he has explained that he means it in the original sense of the word (“happy”)—he is taking away some of the stigma that the word has developed over the past few decades. However, he still managed to piss some people off in the process. Lil’ B’s plan is working, albeit disingenuous.

Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj are probably more sincere given each of their backgrounds, but in today’s blog culture it’s “cool” to be outspoken. Therefore, more artists will probably champion LGBT rights whether they are genuine or not. It’s a smart move either way you look at it because not only will they draw more attention to themselves, but it forces more people to talk and face issues (and their own feelings) that affects the gay community today, primarily marriage and bigotry. What better way to do it than through music, the language of the world?

Having a gay following can lockdown the longevity of an artist. So, all you up and coming pop stars, R&B divas and the occasional hip hop head, be good to the LGBT community and you might have a career like Janet Jackson, Chaka Khan, or Diana Ross.

Lady GaGa To Mentor “Idol” Finalists

Published by Runteldat on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 8:26 am.

The remaining four finalists for American Idol will be getting top notch tips on how to improve as performers courtesy of their newest mentor, Lady GaGa.  Idol host Ryan Seacrest announced the news via his Twitter page following Friday night’s elimination show, saying, “I only have one word for our mentor on American Idol next week………. Gaga.”

Entertainment Weekly has confirmed with FOX that the 25-year-old pop phenom will be dishing out advice as contestants belt out hits from Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller.  Leiber and Stoller are responsible for Elvis Presley hits like “Jailhouse Rock” and “Hound Dog.” Though these days GaGa garners comparisons to Madonna and David Bowie, she has previously proven herself to be quite capable of tapping into her inner old soul.

The remaining four Idol finalists are James Durbin, Lauren Alaina, Scotty McCreery and Haley Reinhart.

Tabloid Declares War Between Beyoncé and Lady GaGa

Published by Clay Cane on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 9:32 am.

One tabloid is declaring war between the two queens of pop

According to the National Enquirer Beyoncé has blasted Lady GaGa as a “selfish egomaniac.”  They claim that Beyoncé felt Lady GaGa’s Grammy entrance was “over the top and ridiculously self-serving.”  Their source added: “She’s telling people that she wants to take Gaga down a few pegs.”

Critics will quickly criticize the credibility of this story considering Beyoncé recently attended Lady GaGa’s concert at Madison Square Garden in New York.

And in a recent interview, when asked about new collaborators on her upcoming album, GaGa said; “I want to stand on my own two feet. I’ve already collaborated with my favorite female in the business.”

GaGa was referring to her collaboration with Beyoncé on the track, “Telephone.”

Snoop Dogg Is Scared of “Relations” With Lady GaGa

Published by Runteldat on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 11:50 am.

There are some images you simply never want haunting your imagination. Like, say, the idea of Snoop Dogg giving a bone to Lady GaGa.  I know, I know, it just sounds wrong, but don’t blame me for bringing it up. It’s all Snoop’s fault.

Here’s what the Doggfather had to say about the idea of having relations with the current pop queen:

“She’s weird as f–k. Who knows, she might have a snake or a knife in her p—y if you try to get some from her.”

He has a point, but still. Though he wouldn’t want to be with her in that way, Snoop did pay GaGa one big compliment.

He told

“I don’t judge Lady Gaga. She makes good s–t, not like a lot of other garbage being repeated.”

I guess he still wants that musical collaboration to happen.

P.S. Snoop, that wouldn’t be GaGa with a knife. It would probably be your wife. Just saying.

Lady GaGa Thanks Whitney Houston At Grammys

Published by Runteldat on Monday, February 14, 2011 at 2:00 pm.

Dressed like Madonna during the Blond Ambition tour with your favorite video girl’s least favorite pair of butt pads, Lady GaGa accepted her Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album last night.

But, it wasn’t her outfit that stuck out most for once. Indeed, it was the way she ended her acceptance speech.

It was all good until GaGa got to the very end when she decided to cite Whitney Houston for inspiring her latest single, the “gay anthem” “Born This Way.”

On Nippy’s contribution, GaGa said:

“I need to thank Whitney Houston. I wanted to thank Whitney, because when I wrote ‘Born this Way,’ I imagined she was singing it — because I wasn’t secure enough in myself to imagine I was a superstar. So, Whitney, I imagined you were singing born this way when I wrote it.”

It’s funny to hear an attention seeker who admittedly chased fame for several years suddenly feign shyness about the very stardom she found.

I don’t get it and I’m sure neither did Whitney.

Toni Braxton Has Lupus, Lady Gaga Lends Support

Published by Runteldat on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 8:30 am.

Toni Braxton’s terrible year seems to have gotten far worse with a new revelation.

On top of disappointing sales of her latest album and ultimately filing for bankruptcy, it appears the R&B star has been diagnosed with Lupus.

While accepting a Women in Achievement award at the 8th Annual Lupus LA Bag Ladies Luncheon, Braxton told the audience:

“Today I’m going to talk about it because I’m a survivor and I’m here, and I don’t want to lose hope. Take a look — this is what lupus looks like.”

Toni then took to Twitter to share with fans and well-wishers that she feels a “relief” after coming forward.

Fortunately, Toni has many supporters – including the likes of Lady Gaga.

Billboard reports that in an ad placed in the program for the luncheon, the pop superstar wrote: “Toni, your strength is admirable. As a woman whose family has been affected by lupus, I understand your struggle and have you in my thoughts.”

Gaga herself revealed she had tested borderline positive for Lupus.

Nicki Minaj: I’m Not Copying Lady GaGa

Published by Runteldat on Monday, November 15, 2010 at 11:50 am.

While she says she’s extremely happy with her Billboard cover story, Nicki Minaj did take to Twitter to make one thing clear: She did not get her nickname for her fans from Lady GaGa.

It seems the writer of the story alleged that Minaj “took a cue” from GaGa in referring to her fans as “Barbz.” GaGa has infamously coined the term “little monsters” to describe her fans.

But, if you’ve followed Nicki over the years, then you know she’s been on that Barbz kick for quite some time.

If you didn’t know, Nicki broke it down:

I didn’t “borrow a page” out of anyone’s book. i’ve been calling my fans barbz way b4 i’ve ever heard any1 b called a “monster” ;)

its funny how ppl jump to conclusions. maybe a lil black girl from queens couldn’t think 2 call her fans barbz on her own. go figure

that was in reference to the billboard mag cover story. (a story i absolutely love but i felt the need to clear that one little thing up) ;)

i was underground for a very long time. ppl seem to think i popped up yesterday & started calling my barbz “barbz”. its unfair to assume

its ok 2 give everyone their individual props. no need to lump them all into 1. it undermines the work i’ve put in. the work my fans put in

Roger that.

Ne-Yo Wants to Make Country Music With Lady Gaga

Published by Dior Noir on Friday, October 8, 2010 at 3:00 pm.

Lady Gaga goes hard on her “out of the box” performances and clothes, but will she agree to do a country music song with Ne-Yo?  That’s what he hopes.

“I’ve reached out to GaGa and our people are talking. It would be amazing if we could do a country and western record, something totally unexpected,” Ne-Yo told The Daily Star. “I love what she and Beyonce did on ‘Telephone’ and ‘Video Phone’ as they were both very distinct styles.”

While he waits for the word on the Gaga duet, Ne-Yo has been busy working on Beyonce’s new album: “I’ve been in the studio with Beyonce recently working on her third album and I’m really excited about it. It’s a little bit classic Beyonce and a little bit unexpected direction,” he said.

Uh, I hope he’s not trying to turn Beyonce into a country singer too!

Hip hop and R&B have had mash-up moments with country in the past : T-Pain and Taylor Swift joined forces at the CMT Awards to perform the song “Thug Story” and Nelly and Tim McGraw recorded that song “Over My Head” back in 2004. Come to think of it, I hated both of those songs, but maybe Gaga and Ne-Yo could pull it off.

Do you think a country track with Lady Gaga is a good idea or is Ne-Yo on one?
