In response to the jewel rip-off that occurred earlier this week in Nick Cannon’s name, Mr. Cannon says he is offering the crooks a prayer.
“I pray for those tortured souls,” he told TMZ. “If some has to do that, it’s a dirty shame.” As we reported, someone claiming to work for Nick arranged to have a rep from Fred Segal’s bring thousands of dollars worth of bling to the Real Husbands of Hollywood star at the Roosevelt Hotel. The jewels disappeared after someone claiming to be Nick’s security offered to take them to him and disappeared with the rocks.
But this isn’t the first big money scam to involve Mr. Mariah Carey. “People have stolen my identity,” Nick explained. “People have charged over $200,000 on my American Express card… It’s all apart of… the celebrity life and being a part of the public eye.”
No word yet on whether police have apprehended the jewel thieves.
