For those who think Mariah Carey is too much of a diva to do the hard work of parenting Nick Cannon says it just ain’t so. Talking to In Touch, the America’s Got Talent host says his wife is not too high and mighty to be a mommy.

Insisting Carey does “everything everyone else does,” Nick explained that, along with relaxing on the couch and watching movies, she also cleans up behind their 22-month-old twins Moroccan and Monroe… And she cooks. “Her specialty is linguine and clam sauce,” he claimed.

Is this an about face from what was said in November 2012? Appearing on Anderson Live, Cannon said he was stuck with the bulk of the diaper-changing duties. Not to mention the tabloid report,s which show Mariah parading the babies within her moments of divadom… like when she arrived to an ice cream date with friends three hours late. Either way, we are sure Mariah is an incredible mom!

Nick Cannon recently came clean about why he and his former girlfriend Kim Kardashian broke up. In a discussion with fellow America’s Got Talent host Howard Stern, Cannon revealed that he briefly dated the reality star back in 2006.

Their union came after the infamous Ray J sex tape, which surprisingly was also the source of their split. “We talked about this tape, and she told me there was no tape,” Nick explained. “If she might have been honest with me I might have tried to hold her down and be like ‘That was before me,’ because she is a great girl.”

After calling Kim K “one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet,” Cannon, who’s happily married to Mariah Carey, said the lie was the breaking point.

In the end, Cannon had nothing but great things to say about Kim, like she is a great business woman. But the way he kind of gushed, it makes you wonder: had she come clean would he be with Mariah and she with Kanye?  We’ll never know.

The term diva has followed pop icon Mariah Carey for twenty years. Even her hubby Nick Cannon lovingly called his wife the four letter word on Anderson Live last week when discussing the pair’s various parenting styles of twins Moroccan and Monroe.

Apparently the American Idol judge is taking pampering “‘Dem Babies” to a whole new level. We’ve all heard the stories of the Cannon babies donning designer baby shoes, sleeping in imported Italian crib linens and bathing in bubble baths filled only with bottled water. The print edition of Star Magazine is now reporting that Mimi spends $1900 for 16-ounce jars of La Mer moisturizer for Roc and Roe’s bottoms as diaper cream.

For those not in the know, La Mer is a very pricey facial moisturizer that usually sells at $150 an ounce. Sources close to Carey say, “Nothing is too good for Mariah’s babies. She probably spends more than $6000 a month on the lotion alone so the kids don’t have diaper rash.”

But despite her lavish lifestyle Carey is not a wasteful diva. She reportedly uses whatever is leftover of the cream on her own face.

You’ve got to love Mimi. She lives in her own pampered world and she’s apparently loving it. Hey, you might too if you had Mariah’s style of pop princess loot to spend.

Despite being previously coy about the details surrounding Mariah Carey’s pregnancy, Life & Style has confirmed that Mariah and Nick Cannon are expecting a boy and a girl.

A friend of the couple revealed, “It’s all about pink and blue these days. It’s truly going to be a dream come true for them. They get a son and daughter.”

Mariah herself also chimed in:

“Even before we announced it was twins, I was trying to keep everything genderneutral because I didn’t want to impose an identity on them too soon. There were fan contests on Twitter about what gender they are and rumors about them being two boys or two girls — but nobody guessed this!”

In the meantime, Nick has been talking about Mariah’s cravings with People magazine:

“Last night we had smothered pork chops, collard greens, red beans and rice and a pecan pie with homemade whipped cream. She cooks it, tastes it, but instead of laying up and eating it, I end up eating it. I think she craves it, but once she cooks it and smells it then the cravings go away.”

If you thought Jay-Z was doing something by buying Beyonce $350,000 worth of Birkin bags for the holidays, check the gift that Nick Cannon got his wife Mariah: a $400, 000 Phantom Rolls-Royce! Mariah is still beaming over the gift. The mother-to-be gushed about her new ride yesterday on Twitter: “Still getting over my Christmas gift from @NickCannon,” she wrote. “License plate: mommyMC : )” 

I’m guessing the twins wont be riding around in car seats on those butter leather seats, although maybe, since all of Mariah’s rides are pretty official. For her 40th birthday her hubby presented her with a pink Porshe.

Despite initial denials, Nick Cannon has confirmed that he and Mariah Carey are expecting twins.

Radar reports:

On his radio show Thursday, Cannon shared how President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama were among the first to know the good news. He said that while performing at TNT’s Christmas in Washington 2010 last Sunday, Carey ran into the president and his wife backstage.

“They, ironically enough, questioned my wife about, you know, ‘So, what are you having, are you having twins?’” Cannon said. “And at this point, she hadn’t told anybody anything, because doctors advised us to keep it to ourselves until we get further along, and stuff.

“And because of the excitement, because of the emotion,” Cannon said, “she was overwhelmed … and she shared with the president and first lady that we are having twins.

“That’s an awesome story to be able to tell,” Cannon said.

Cannon added that the two had another ultrasound and that “everything is OK.”

He did note that he didn’t warn Mariah that he was sharing with the good news with the world. I wonder

The grapevine’s been buzzing that Mariah’s expecting twins after the diva did an interview with Radio Disney and used the word “they” when talking about the pregnancy. Maybe when she was talking about kids she was refering to her unborn child and Nick Cannon (sorry, I couldn’t resist, he still looks 12), but her hubby confirmed they’re only expecting one baby:

“That rumor started because she said something about ‘they,” the comic told UsMagazine.com at the Time Warner Cable Launch of SignatureHome Thursday. “Something like, ‘I hope they don’t hate Christmas,” but she was using the word ‘they’ as in, like, he and she.”

And while Cannon said the pair doesn’t know yet if it’s a boy or a girl, he is coming clean about something else. Yes, he did whisper to Carey’s belly that there is no Santa. “I got in trouble for that,” he told Us. “I’m a Santa-ologist. At three-years-old my Dad told me there was no Santa. And my wife is Mrs. Christmas, so I have to compromise on that.”

But he’s not willing to budge on his mandate that Carey stick to flats for the remainder of her pregnancy. “Yes, no more heels,” he told Us. “I’m going to make sure of it!”

The couple is keeping the baby’s due date a secret, but have said the child will be born “in the spring.”

If I didn’t know any better, I’d say the National Enquirer has it out for Mariah Carey.

With each passing story it seems the tabloid is dead set on passing off Mimi as a terrorizing pregnant woman driving Nick Cannon crazy.

This time, they’re saying Mariah is laying the law down on Nick’s purported party boy lifestyle.

They report:

The party’s over for Nick Cannon! Mom-to-be Mariah Carey has laid down the law to her free-wheeling husband, and demanded he start acting less like a frat boy and more like a dad, sources say.

“Mariah’s tightening her leash on Nick,” an insider told The ENQUIRER. “She’s putting him on a budget, and restricting the time he’s allowed to spend with his pals.”

The 41-year-old superstar singer – who’s due to deliver the couple’s first child in spring – suddenly decided that Nick, 30, should settle down and get ready for fatherhood, the source said. “Mariah sat Nick down and hammered home the point that with a baby coming he needed to make some big changes,” the source confided.

“She’s always been a control freak with Nick, but now she’s scrutinizing his every move and acting like a drill sergeant.”

In my mind, they’re sitting together eating crab cakes and pickles while drinking pink lemonade from one of Mariah’s ultra pink cups. As you can see, I’m not putting a lot into this story, but keep ‘em coming, NE. They’re entertaining.

The National Enquirer just doesn’t want to let Mariah Carey be happy. Well, actually they don’t want Nick Cannon to be happy. According to them, Mimi’s mood swings are “ripping the two apart.”

Uh huh.

They report:

But Nick, 30,  is complaining bitterly about his wife’s wild emotional outbursts, weight-gain insecurities and other difficult behavior that has taken her diva-tude to new heights, say sources.

Their happy home has turned into a tear-stained battlefield.

“Mariah is driving Nick crazy,” disclosed an insider.

Nick finally hit his breaking point when Mariah cut him off in the bedroom, the insider revealed.

You know, as successful as he is, Nick Cannon isn’t that great an actor. So, when I see that big goofy smile plastered on his face whenever he talks about being giddy over his bride being knocked up, I believe it.

Getting up in the middle of the night in search of Popeye’s, popsicles, and candy from a piñata is probably mad annoying, though.

Now that she opened up about her pregnancy, Mariah Carey is talking cravings, cramps, and illness with the press.

Speaking with Access Hollywood, Mrs. Cannon said her battles with morning sickness are already underway.

She said: “I have, like, a constant, ‘Ugh.’”

On cravings, she noted: “What am I craving? What do I even like? Just the little black cherry soda and cream soda.”

As for the sex of their child, they don’t know but already Nick Cannon says if it’s a boy he wants a “masculine bond” with his kid.

He said: “I just want to make sure if I do have a boy we’re going to have to get him into like boxing classes. And hang out with me a lot earlier, because I can’t have my son…”

Mariah followed up with: “What are you afraid of? He’s going to sing? Is that what it is?”

Mariah would prefer not to know the sex now.

In a taped appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Mariah Carey told Ellen:

“I would prefer not, because imagine if you’re a baby inside someone’s body. Do you really want someone imposing their sex ideas on you? Not really? I’m just saying, would you want them to be like, ‘It’s definitely a girl’ (if it’s a boy)?”
