Oprah Is Devastated Over Gayle King Leaving OWN

Published by Natasha Fierce on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 10:13 am.

The National Enquirer is running a story with the headline “Oprah Begs Gayle: Don’t Leave Me!” The always reliable tabloid alleges professional BFF Gayle King is leaving her full-time job as Oprah Winfrey’s sidekick for a gig with the CBS morning show crew. The story also claims Gayle is hooking up with 50 Cent, and even got herself a temporary 50 tattoo on her arm.

Now, I don’t know which part of this story is harder to believe, but if even the bit about Gayle ditching Oprah in favor of, you know, actually working for a living is true, here’s a cautionary tale for her:

S2S Magazine pointed out the fate of another Oprah defector, a lifestyle coach named Iyanla Vanzant who left Lady O’s inner circle to launch her own syndicated show. Are you asking yourself, “Iyanla who?”

Yeah, me too.

Gayle King Sued By Matchmaker Who Wanted a Spot on “Oprah”

Published by Dior Noir on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 10:00 am.

Oprah’s right hand woman Gayle King is being sued by a matchmaker who claims she hooked the OWN host up with a bunch of “attractive, fit, and wealthy men,” but Gayle reneged on her promise to put her on the Oprah Winfrey Show.

In a lawsuit obtained by TMZ, Orly Hadida, a famed high profile matchmaker, claims that two years ago she set Gayle up with services and waived the usual $500, 000 fee because Gayle promised to put her on Oprah’s TV show.  Hadida alleges she spent hundreds of hours hooking Gayle up with five men –who were seemingly big catches—and Gayle even went on several dates with more than one of the men.

But when the matchmaker found out that Oprah’s show was ending she panicked and realized she wasn’t going to have a spot on The Big O’s couch. She said that since Gayle flaked on the alleged promise, she emailed her money, for services rendered. Gayle hasn’t paid a penny, Orly claimed, so now she’s suing.

Who knows if this woman has a contract or legal foot to stand on, but let’s talk about the bigger issue here: Gayle is getting her date on! Now can we all stop with the rumors that she’s secret lovers with her bestie?

Are Janet and Randy Mad At Oprah Over MJ’s Kids?

Published by Runteldat on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 12:00 am.

There’s talk that Janet Jackson is non too pleased with Oprah Winfrey.

Despite Damita Jo’s numerous appearances on the daytime talk show, it appears Janet might be vexed over Oprah staging an interview with her nieces and nephews.

No, not Jermajesty and them.  It’s Michael Jackson’s kids that seem to be the issue.

According to the New York Daily News, Janet “didn’t think the kids should have done it.”

And as you can see by that headline, the National Enquirer is co-signing this story.

If true, this is the very sentiment conveyed by her brother, Randy Jackson, who took to Twitter to state his gripe about Michael’s kids doing the interview.

Randy also didn’t like that Oprah aired a show on pedophilia during Michael’s child molestation trial. Kind of like how fans didn’t like how the episode featuring Katherine and Joe Jackson along with Michael’s kids followed another episode about sexual abuse.

Star Jones: I Have No Beef With Oprah

Published by Runteldat on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 12:00 am.

So, the National Enquirer tried to create beef between Star Jones and Oprah Winfrey.

According to the tabloid, Star was vexed over Rosie O’Donnell being given a show on Oprah’s new OWN network.

Their quoted “insider” said, “Star could not believe Oprah has signed Rosie to be on her new network, but hasn’t called to discuss any ideas with her!”

This person says Star was “shocked” and “angry” over not hearing from Oprah since the announcement that she would be starting her own cable network.

They added that, “Star says Oprah is making a big mistake, and she can’t wait until Rosie flips out again… maybe then Oprah will give her a call.”

Like any smart woman who doesn’t want to be blacklisted, Star shut that rumor down quickly.

She told the site Gossip Cop: “The story in the National Enquirer is fabricated… I’m very excited about Rosie’s new show. I count both Rosie and Oprah as dear friends, and I know [O'Donnell's] new show is going to be a success.”

In the latest video, Raz-B said he was inspired by Tyler Perry’s interview this week with Oprah, in which the mega-producer admitted to being molested by three different people before the age of 10 as well as viciously beaten by his father.

Naomi Campbell Talks Anger, Drugs and Cell Phones on Oprah

Published by Runteldat on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 12:00 am.

naomi-oprah

Although she has one of the most beautiful faces on Earth, Naomi Campbell is just as known for knucking and bucking and being ready to fight at a moment’s notice as she is being a supermodel.

And on yesterday’s episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show, Naomi addressed her anger management issues.

“I take responsibility for the things that I have done,” Campbell told Oprah, “and I do feel a great sense of shame.”

We’ve been hearing about her violent outbursts for well over a decade. However, the fashion pioneer appeared genuinely sorry for her past transgressions.

On these incidents, Campbell said, “I feel remorseful. I feel ashamed. I feel for them…’What have I done to them?’ I’ve hurt them.”

At the root of Naomi’s anger seems to be her resentment towards her mother, Valerie Morris, who Campbell noted abandoned her to pursue her ballerina dreams.

Her mother also expressed regret, acknowledging to Oprah, “I do feel that I abandoned her.”

Campbell also touched on her long fight with cocaine, which she called the “devil’s drug.” Campbell says she hasn’t had cocaine in six years and has abstained from drinking alcohol for a year and a half.

As for Naomi’s recent run-in with ABC News, the model says she avoided the question of whether she took a “blood diamond” from former Liberia president, Charles Taylor, out of fear.

Campbell said: “I don’t want to be involved in this man’s case—he has done some terrible things and I don’t want to put my family in danger.”

She also denied slapping the camera.

“There definitely is sound effect [added],” she says. “There were three cameras, and I went to walk out the door, and the other one came in the way. So I moved the first one out to get to the door, and there were two more.”

With the ratings hungry news media desperate for press that sounds pretty plausible, doesn’t it?

It was great to see Oprah show the softer side of Naomi. Even better: She got her to sign both her no texting while driving pledge in addition to a special pledge — no phone throwing.

Oprah Reacts to ‘So Called Biography’

Published by Dior Noir on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 3:00 pm.

oprah

It was only a matter of time before Oprah had something to say about the  the unauthorized biography about her!  After all, writer Kitty Kelley airs out  reports alleging Oprah abused drugs and questions the extent of the icon’s longtime claim of being sexually abused as a child–just to name a few of the book’s outlandish claims–and you knew the Big O wasn’t going to let that go without a comment.

On Monday the Daytime TV Queen wasted no time bashing the book when she presented an award to her BFF Gayle King at The New York Women in Communications Matrix Awards. According to People magazine, Oprah described Gayle as someone who “sometimes cares about my life more than I do,” and told the audience that this past week “was a rough one” for King when a “so-called biography came out.”

“Gayle got herself worked out with all my new daddies coming out,” said Oprah of Kelly’s claims in the book that Vernon Winfrey is not her biological father.

The audience had Oprah’s back and went off with applause as she smiled and said, “This, too, shall pass.”

Now that’s how you handle a scandal with class.

Oprah Allegedly Closes the Door to John Mayer After His Controversial Comments

Published by Dior Noir on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 3:00 pm.

Many of you weren’t feeling John Mayer’s racially charged comments in his recent Playboy interview, and apparently Oprah doesn’t want to hear from him either after the controversy.

Although John has preformed on the Daytime TV Queen’s show before, according to PopEater.com a TV insider said that Oprah wont be opening up her couch to him anytime soon:

“Oprah is the smartest person on TV and will not let John use her or her show to ask for forgiveness,” the TV insider said. “If John really wants to apologize for his racist and sexist comments, he should find somewhere else. The only way Oprah, who is a dear friend of Jennifer Aniston, would ever book him is if John were interested in having a much deeper conversation about race, women and fame.”

Mayer has apologized for using the N-word and making his other controversial comments both on his Twitter page (@johncmayer) as well as one of his recent concerts in Nashville where he “choked up” while saying his “I’m sorrys” (cry me a river!) before declaring “It’s just not worth being clever…I just can’t. I quit the sound-bite game. I quit the media game. I’m out. I’m done. I just want to play my guitar to whoever is around.”

Shut up and stick to music? Sounds like a good plan for him to me!

Paul Mooney Blasts Beyonce and Oprah

Published by Runteldat on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 12:00 am.

AGM-000413

Comedian Paul Mooney has lashed out at Beyonce, calling her a “wild horse” for allegedly not being as gracious as she lets on.

While promoting his new book, Black Is The New White, which chronicles his career and work with Richard Pryor, Mooney called Kanye West his hero for “scaring that little country singer.”

That country singer would be Taylor Swift, who Kanye is still feeling the clap back over after interrupting her speech on stage at the VMAs.

Mooney took issue with Beyonce allowing Taylor to give her speech a second time during Bey’s own win.

Mooney said: “If she’s that gracious why didn’t she do that with Etta James and that’s her peer.”

He then said black people are “sometime” about how they treat their legends claiming no white singer would do that to Barbara Streisand.

Maybe he could take that up with the Obamas since they’re the ones who invited Beyonce and asked her to sing.

Or maybe, just maybe he could let it go given it was a year ago.

Oh and Mooney didn’t stop at Beyonce. He also branded Oprah as “Aunt Jemima with a degree.”

See for yourself under the hood:
