Jermaine Jackson Says MJ’s Kids Need Mom

Jermaine Jackson says he thinks it’s “wonderful” that Paris Jackson has started bonding with mom Debbie Rowe. In recent weeks, Rowe has been seen visiting Paris at a school event flanked with flowers. The two apparently have struck up a relationship and have been spending lots of quality time together.

“I think that’s wonderful because the kids need their Mom. I think it’s great,” Jermaine told TMZ.  “That’s their mother. That’s a wonderful thing, that’s a good thing.”

Soon after their divorce, Michael Jackson nixed all plans of Rowe having a relationship with Prince Jackson and Paris. The King of Pop ended contact between Rowe and the children in 1999 and Debbie gave away complete custody rights in 2001. Thus far, Prince has shown no interest in getting to know his mom and it has been widely reported that Blanket Jackson’s mother is not Rowe, but an anonymous surrogate.

Well, with MJ gone at least Paris has one parent in her life.

Paris Jackson Wants to Restore Neverland

Paris Jackson has one definite plan when she becomes an adult: restore the King of Pop’s former kingdom, Neverland. Michael Jackson’s daughter told the Daily Mail she plans to bring back her dad’s estate, which was used to provide fun for sick and underprivileged children.

MJ began to lose his grip on Neverland when his finances started crumbling. After Jackson nearly lost the property twice to foreclosure, Colony Capital LLC stepped in to purchase the loan and eventually restructure it with Jackson only seven months before his death in 2009. While Colony still controls Neverland, Jackson estate still has 12.5 percent interest.

Paris wishes to begin her plans when she reaches adulthood. And she may be working with none other than Lady Gaga on the project. Gaga is reported interested in investing in the 3,000 acre Ranch along with Michael’s kids. They are planning on turning the property into a sanctuary for children and animals.

More power you, Paris. Neverland is apart of MJ’s legacy that should be preserved.

Paris Jackson Vows to “Move to Africa” if Romney Elected

Published by Natasha Fierce on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 10:00 am.

Paris Jackson refuses to be a constituent of President Romney. The outspoken 14-year-old daughter of late pop icon Michael Jackson, who lights more fires on Twitter than an arsonist in a forest, tweeted her political views to her nearly one million followers earlier today:

“k i hate politics, but at least i care about this country…if Obama wasn’t president, America would be flushed down the toilet#voteobama”

The young beauty went on to blame George W. Bush for many of the country’s problems, then vowed that she would “move to Africa” should Mitt Romney be elected president in November. Now, every dramatic teenager is entitled to her opinion, but it seems Miss Jackson hasn’t really thought through what life would be like under, say, President Omar al-Bashir of the Sudan. A conservative in the Oval Office ain’t nothin’ compared to dealing with the lines at the local DMV in Khartoum, child.

After the inevitable backlash to her comments, Paris dug in her heels and fired another tweet: “spoke my mind, said my opinions… don’t reeeallyy care if you disagree with me… #sorrynotsorry #voteobama”

One day , a 30-something Paris Jackson is going to look back on her teenage tweets and cringe. But for now, gotta appreciate her spirit.

Gladys on Jackson Family Drama: “[Paris] Wouldn’t Have Any Teeth”

Published by on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 8:52 am.

Gladys Knight offered the ultimate wisdom in the Jackson family drama.

The singing legend appeared in CBS’s The Talk when the discussion turned to the tiff between Janet Jackson and niece Paris Jackson, daughter of Michael Jackson, who’d been tweeting family business.

Reportedly Janet slapped the 14-year-old, calling her a “spoiled little b****.” Paris responding by slapping her back and saying, “This is our house. Not the Jackson family house. Get the f*** out!”

Gladys , remembering the ways of the archetypal “big momma,” had this to say about the struggle: “It’s drama, that’s what it is. If you lived up under the microscope as this family does, everybody has dysfunctionality in their families, either one way or the other. See, I’m from the south and [we] was raised in that southern way. You have to understand Paris is what, 14? How old is Janet? Who’s the one who tries to direct the other one here? And I would think that it’s a good thing, she let’s Paris know who she is. She is a Jackson, she shouldn’t be putting the business out there like that. Cause people read into whatever they want to read into, that’s how they get the drama. So, she’s just trying to protect her, in a way. But if she [Paris] called me that, she wouldn’t have any teeth…You respect your elders.”

And Gladys ain’t lying. Many a Black adult-who-used-to-be-children know just what she was talking about… And apparently so did Janet (via poppa Joe Jackson). Only, in the age of social media, a possible tweet about a mere a** whooping could turn ugly fast… the way it has already done for the Jacksons.  However, Paris Jackson denied the slap ever happened.

That’s My Baby

marklester

More and more is it becoming apparent that for the estate of the late Michael Jackson each week can be summed up best with: “Another day, another leech.”

This time child actor Mark Lester is trying to get his few seconds of fame – and of course a couple of stacks from the King of Pop.

Lester is claiming that he “may” be the father of Paris Jackson.

Although he is the godfather to all three of Michael’s kids, Lester told News of the World: “I gave Michael my sperm so that he could have kids – and I believe Paris is my daughter.”

Maybe I need to go ahead and hit up Kim’s Beauty Supply and pick up some Nubian Light bleaching cream and some colored contacts so I claim to be the father of one of MJ’s kids, too. Couldn’t hurt.

Lester says Paris bears a strong resemblance to one of his daughter, and claims that he has “concerns about the welfare and upbringing of the children.”

The wannabe daddy says he has no contact with any of Jackson’s kids and that it’s “heartbreaking.” Yeah to you and your account, pimp.

Though he claims he’s not trying to start any legal trouble, when you come out to a tabloid with some “I’m her real daddy, and I’m worried” shtick, it’s pretty obvious what you’re getting at.

Katherine Jackson’s lawyer, Londell McMillan, has already responded, saying, “These genetic lottery attempts aren’t going anywhere. They have no legal standing. They may seek 5 seconds of fame but the claims have no merit.”

Shamon.

Weekend Fix: Kandi Burruss, Tisha Campbell and Paris Jackson

Beef with Bloggersphere

TV personality and former Xscape singer Kandi Burruss has had it with bloggers talking mess about her fiancée Ashley “AJ” Jewel and her upcoming involvement on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, among other things.  So much so that she told Essence her upcoming album (which features a song with her former group mate Tiny) will be called B.L.O.G. (B–ches Love Online Gossip).

I came up with the concept based on things that were going that were relevant to what’s going on in my life now including the show and what things have been written about me and my fiancée by bloggers,” she said. “The whole album isn’t about the show but there are definitely songs inspired from the show like ‘Fly Above,’ and ‘It Must Be Good.’

I don’t understand folks who whine and complain about what people have to say when they willingly thrust themselves into public view!  Kandi also told Essence:

I was supposed to be on the ‘Tiny & Toya’ show along with our friend Joy, Lyfe Jennings’s ex-fiancée,” and explained that it fell through. “I was disappointed because I was looking forward to getting into reality television, but the next week I was approached to join the cast of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta,’ so it all worked out.

So let me get this straight, you try multiple times to get down with the reality TV circuit that’s going to blast the details of your life but get mad when people talk about the details of your life? Not that anyone deserves to be trash talked but if you can’t stand the heat… Plus what would reality personalities and er, washed up celebrities from yesteryear really be without the blogs and gossips reporting on them and thus making them even remotely relevant in the celebrity world? I’mjustsayin.

Baby Baby Baby Baby…

Tisha Cambpell Martin is in the preggers club: she’s expecting her second child with actor Duane Martin (they already have a son, 8 year-old Xen). The Martins recently had a baby soiree in LA and guest list included fellow mommies-to be actress Jennifer Freeman and Lauren London. I wonder if we’ll see celebrity play dates in the coming months; it seems like so many stars are ready to pop or welcoming new bundles of joy (shout out to two-day old Knight Jones!).

What’s in a Name?

Paris Hilton recently revealed that Michael Jackson asked her mother for permission to use her name for his only daughter Paris Jackson. “My mom and Michael went to high school together and they were best friends since they were 13,” Hilton told Extra. “So I grew up knowing Michael very well and when he had his daughter, he always loved the name Paris and grew up being an uncle to me. So he asked my mom if it was okay and of course she said yes and I think she’s such a beautiful little girl and I’m proud we have the same name.

Cute, I guess?  Let’s just hope the younger Paris doesn’t follow in the elder’s wild footsteps.

Paris Jackson Calls Michael the ‘Best Father’

Published by Dior Noir on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 3:00 pm.

paris-michael-sist_1439001iWhile my counterpart Runtelldat reported live from Michael Jackson’s memorial service at the Staple Center in LA yesterday, I watched various live streams in New York. Though the event was full of celebrities and notables paying their respects, to me, one person took center stage with their words: Paris Jackson, Michael’s daughter.

She didn’t even say much: after being gently probed by Janet Jackson to speak up, Paris grabbed the microphone with a poise beyond her 11 years before choking out a heart wrenching few words about her dad:

Ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine. And I just wanted to say I love him so much,” she told the hushed audience, before dissolving into tears.

For years, Michael shielded his three children from the spotlight and he got much flak for various antics as far as they were concerned. There were the infamous mardi gras style masks he made the children wear when they were out in public and of course that public outcry that came when the King of Pop dangled youngest son Prince Michael II (aka”Blanket”) over a balcony for fans and paparazzi to see. Many criticized Michael’s ability to be a good father, but Paris single-handedly dispelled any notion that he was not.

Now that his life has been on display, round the clock, as the major news story for the past two weeks we’re getting such a different perception of Michael Jackson than we got in the last, oh, ten or so years of his life.  While he was once villainized, after his death he’s become much more “human” to the world and now all of the sudden we like him, we really really like him.

To me, past seeing his casket being carried by his brothers, the saddest thing about watching hundreds of thousands of people gather to honor Michael Jackon’s passing is that we never seemed to show this kind of outpouring of love for him while he was alive. I’m sure he could’ve used it from the mases, but it was more than touching to see that to his kids, he’s always been the best.
