Al Reynolds has a brand new view. The ex-husband of former View co-host Star Jones is reportedly shacking up with her successor Sherri Shepherd.

But it’s not what you think. There’s nothing romantic going on (we hope) between Reynolds and the happily-married Shepherd, their relationship is strictly couch-crashing. Reynolds is simply renting a room in Shepherd’s townhouse on Manhattan’s ritzy Upper West Side while in town working on some business deals. Reynolds’ permanent home base is in Miami.

A rep for Shepherd confirmed to E! News that Reynolds has a separate entrance and everything. “It is a place she owns, but is not her home,” her rep tells us and adds that Reynolds has his own floor with an apartment set up.

Still, this must be a bitter pill for Jones, whose marriage to Reynolds was at least part of the reason she got fired from The View (Jones came under fire for the corporate sponsorships and on-air plugs for her wedding). The couple divorced in 2008 after three years of marriage amid rumors that Jones was tired of Reynolds’ freeloading ways.

Looks like he’s another woman’s problem now, Star.

The drama on Basketball Wives seems to have finally crossed the line from ratings-booster to public disgrace. A group of fans lead by—who else—Star Jones have launched a petition to stop the insanity on the show, in particular calling out ish-starter Evelyn Lozada for her “bullying.” The petitioners want to make Evelyn pay for her bad behavior by calling on network execs to cancel her spin-off show, Chad & Ev.

The petition reads:

Evelyn Lozada is a bully. The violence on “Basketball Wives” is horrible and disgraceful. Physical assaults, threats, verbal abuse, and harassment. VH1 is rewarding this behavior by giving Evelyn a spinoff. Don’t reward negative behavior.

This is not a hate petition against Eveyln Lozada. We simply will not support violence. It hurts to see violence amongst women on television for entertainment purposes. It is not ok for women to hit each other on TV.

As far as we recall, it takes two to tango, but, if you feel so inclined…

Ask Star Jones what she would rather do, get a bikini wax from Barbara Walters or simply breathe the same air as Sarah Palin, and the answer might surprise you. Or, maybe it won’t. Sources say the TV personality, who is a regular contributor to the Today show, was “livid” she had to share her set with Palin, who guest hosted on Tuesday.
RadarOnline.com reports that Jones was seeing red when the former VP candidate continually referred to the “lame-stream media” during her interview with Matt Lauer. “Star was watching the interview in the green room and she was absolutely floored that Sarah Palin as a guest on the Today show was basically calling everyone on set lame,” a show insider says. “Star was incensed that Sarah was allowed to make such inflammatory comments. Star is the consummate professional and couldn’t fathom why Sarah would be so negative as a guest and Star was livid about the comments.”
It got worse when the two women, each known for stirring up controversy, appeared on the show’s Ask the Experts panel together. Star could barely look at Sarah and insisted that she be seated on the opposite end from her,” the source says. “Star is a lawyer, a former prosecutor and has worked very hard in her life to get where she is. Star didn’t understand why Sarah was on the panel because she doesn’t have anything worth contributing. Star also didn’t believe Sarah when she said that she hadn’t seen Julianne Moore playing her in the movie Game Change.”

Does it sound to anyone else like Radar’s “inside source” is Star Jones herself, screaming into her Blackberry with smoke coming out of her ears?
Anyway. Jones later fired a passive aggressive tweet saying, “Gov @SarahPalinUSA was gracious, offered to cook for me when I’m back in Alaska & cracked up when I said: ‘meet you on campaign trail.’ LOL.” When asked if she was going to start “hang out with Republicans,” Jones dropped the friendly facade:

“I’d rather eat nails.”

According to the tabloids, Star Jones wants that old thing back.

The National Enquirer says that Star is missing her ex-husband, Al Reynolds, despite their marriage falling apart.

One source told them, “Star has never gotten over Al. She’s determined to get their relationship back on track, and marry him again.

Thing is, Al now lives in Miami and, well, I’m sure most recall those rumors about him hitting “choice” clubs out in New York.

Still, the Enquirer says Star wants him back:

And despite the gay rumors and their nasty divorce, 48-year-old Star has reignited their relationship, said the source.

“They’ve been e-mailing one another,” divulged the source.

“Everyone close to her is shocked, but Star feels it’s a good beginning. She and Al are very friendly and even laughing again. That’s what Star says she missed the most, laughing with Al.

“At the end of the day, only Star and Al know the truth about the gay rumors—and they’re the only ones who matter.”

I believe this rumor about as much as the idea of Star and NeNe Leakes shacking up with Ellen DeGeneres.

Star Jones has finally formally responded to her Celebrity Apprentice co-star NeNe Leakes.

The two are said to have had serious beef during filming of the Donald Trump–produced series. It’s a beef that has carried over with NeNe recently telling Wendy Williams that she wouldn’t “spit on Star Jones if she was on fire.”

In an interview with Life & Style magazine, Star had this to say about Linnethia:

“I did Celebrity Apprentice to raise money and awareness for a charity [the American Heart Association] that has been instrumental in my life, not to see it reduced to a cliché where Black women attack one another for publicity’s sake. I haven’t commented on any of her comments in hopes that she would remember that we all participated in this show for charity and not as a vehicle to promote ourselves and such hatred. I was clearly wrong and I decided to finally respond.”

Though Star didn’t get specific, it seems NeNe knucked and bucked with multiple women featured on the show. Even worse, things got so heated that Star had to hire security after their verbal fight.

Via Pop Eater: “The televised catfight between Star Jones and NeNe Leakes won’t officially begin until the new season of Celebrity Apprentice premieres March 6, but insiders have already told me that it gets so ugly that Star had to hire her own security detail.”

“NeNe is coming unhinged,” a source close to Star tells me, adding that during taping the Atlanta “Housewife” made La Toya Jackson cry and even got in the face of singing legend Dionne Warwick.”

But it’s her beef with Star that is particularly nasty, my source reveals. “Clearly, she can’t get along with women, especially other black women. She is losing it.”

NeNe, a bit of advice: You don’t want it with Auntie Dionne. Her niece Whitney Houston would clock you into you Season 17 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

NeNe Leakes, stopped by The Wendy Williams Show yesterday to settle up on several rumors surrounding her love life and standing with the show that made her famous.

In a follow up to previous questions about the status of her marriage, NeNe confirmed that she and Greg Leakes are done.

She told Wendy: “The divorce is pending. I did file for divorce. My happiness is everything.”

She shied away from questions as to whether or not the two are still intimate, but did tell Wendy that Greg “actually just moved out.”

As for Kim Zolciak’s comments that she can’t leave The Real Housewives of Atlanta because they’re all under contract, NeNe said “contracts can be broken.”

As for her co-star Cynthia Bailey and her husband, Peter Thomas, NeNe claims: “They are still together, they’re very much in love. He loves her and she loves him.”

As for her new venture, NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice, NeNe disputed rumors that she was acting like a diva.

On talk of being consistently late to set, NeNe quipped, “Everybody has to be there at a certain time so that’s not possible.”

She also was pressed about her relationship with co-star, Star Jones.

NeNe said: “I’m not feeling Star Jones. I gave her a chance when she got there, but Star is a trip. She’s very special. I wouldn’t spit on Star if she was on fire.”

Things are better between her and LaToya Jackson.

“In the beginning we got along, but we had a tip but since then we’ve had a talk. We get a long and we speak all of the time. We definitely keep in contact, I like her a lot,” NeNe explained to Wendy.

In ex to the next news, Al Reynolds is speaking out about his ex-bride, ex-The View co-host, Star Jones.

Speaking with TooFab.com (of course), Mr. Reynolds revealed that despite no longer being together he and Star still maintain some level of communication.

He said,”Star and I, we do email one another, so there is some contact there.” As for as discussing their dating lives: “No, no, no, no, no, not at all. I respect her, her privacy and she respects my privacy.”

On what he’s learned from the divorce:

“I just want to say that everything has kind of been a learning experience, and when I look back on it, I say, ‘OK, what’s left for me to learn? How was I supposed to grow from it?’ I feel like for me, I was pretty much raked over the coals, so the reference from that has done nothing but make me stronger, smarter and wiser. And a little bit more cautious to not make the same mistakes twice.”

On his romantic life now:

“Listen, I am single. I am dating, but I am dating no one seriously right now. But I am open.”

So, the National Enquirer tried to create beef between Star Jones and Oprah Winfrey.

According to the tabloid, Star was vexed over Rosie O’Donnell being given a show on Oprah’s new OWN network.

Their quoted “insider” said, “Star could not believe Oprah has signed Rosie to be on her new network, but hasn’t called to discuss any ideas with her!”

This person says Star was “shocked” and “angry” over not hearing from Oprah since the announcement that she would be starting her own cable network.

They added that, “Star says Oprah is making a big mistake, and she can’t wait until Rosie flips out again… maybe then Oprah will give her a call.”

Like any smart woman who doesn’t want to be blacklisted, Star shut that rumor down quickly.

She told the site Gossip Cop: “The story in the National Enquirer is fabricated… I’m very excited about Rosie’s new show. I count both Rosie and Oprah as dear friends, and I know [O'Donnell's] new show is going to be a success.”

Star Jones hasn’t had much luck in television following her departure from The View.

She did have that one show on TruTV but that lasted about as long as Ms. Jade’s rap career.

With a lot of free time on her hands Star has turned to book writing. Indeed, Star will be releasing a novel soon that will focus on a subject matter she’s quite familiar with – daytime talk shows.

Star Jones could be getting her revenge on Barbara Walters by penning a fictional book about female hosts of a daytime talk show. Page Six has learned that Simon & Schuster imprint Gallery Books will publish Jones’ novel about a TV show, “The Lunch Club,” whose hosts “learn that a former colleague — who departed under mysterious circumstances, and is privy to all their backstage secrets — is coming back with a splash.” Jones was pushed off “The View” by Walters in 2006 and famously said her co-hosts “were hateful.” She now says of her TV career, “I’ve met some of the most fascinating people, heard the most surprising situations, and been privy to so many great stories and secrets. But while this novel will be dishy, it will be a work of fiction.” But an insider said, “There will be tales in the book which will leave readers wondering if they are based on real events and characters. It’s being carefully vetted by lawyers.”

There’s a blind item out there that’s about as mysterious as Tiger Woods’ sex life.

Basically: People are saying LisaRaye has reached out to Star Jones following her surgery.

Although Star was appreciative of LisaRaye’s thoughtful message she did convey the sentiment, “Keep my name out of your mouth.”

I’m sure you can understand that given all I’ve had to handle…I have chosen a simpler, more streamlined and less drama filled life, so if I can ask one favor: I would appreciate it if in promoting your projects…you would steer the questions away from me. Admittedly, no one has ever asked me anything so I don’t know the position you’re in…but a simple “we’re fine” will go a long way to raise the level of the conversation…and allow you to enjoy the success without making about anyone else.
