On Sunday night Usher came home for a stop on his OMG! Tour.

That night Twitter lit up with rumors from spectators claiming that Tameka Raymond was trying to get backstage with the kids in tow and was escorted away by security.

Rumors are flying that Usher’s ex wife Tameka got turned away from VIP at Usher’s concert in Atlanta the other night.

According to the streets Tameka was trying to get backstage at the concert, with her youngest son on her hip, but Usher’s people were not having it. They say Tameka made a scene and had to be escorted out of the area!

Tameka denies this, tweeting:

I’ll take her at her word. I’m not trying to get cursed out.

I’m beginning to think Usher and Tameka Raymond’s failed marriage will be reported far longer than the marriage actually lasted.

If it’s any consolation, the stories about the ex-couple might be a lot more positive. Despite a bit of back and forth initially, these days it seems Usher and Tameka have found common ground as friends.

In an new interview with Britain’s Cosmopolitan magazine, Usher explains:

“With my ex-wife, there was a lot of pressure in our relationship because of my career. Now that’s alleviated, we’re friends and make smart decisions for our children.”

“Friends” sounds a lot better than reports of scratched cars and 9-11 calls.

She’s out opening stores and styling others while he’s successfully fought off theories he was turning into “Uncle Usher.” Good for both of them.

In the latest issue of People magazine, Usher opens up again about his divorce from wife, Tameka Raymond.

According to Usher, despite fears that the marriage would ultimately not work he’s grateful that he and Tameka linked.

He says:

“I appreciate the relationship for what it was. Even though it didn’t work out, I’m glad we got together. I love her as the mother of my children; we just couldn’t be married.”

Usher says the two fought over everything from his hectic schedule to how to parent their two sons. The two do work together to raise their sons, however.

He added:

“We’re two different people and we have two different goals. It just was never going to work out 100 percent. We had to put our issues aside and focus on raising them. There will never be another mother for my sons, and I’ll always be their father.”

Usher’s ex-wife still has him on the brain:

Oh Tameka. Now maybe she was being sarcastic, but it looks like she can’t let go of that man, or his last name for that matter and the divorce was finalized last year.

In the appearance Tameka mentions, Usher sat down with the ladies of The View and said his new album Raymond vs. Raymond represents a dichotomy of himself as a man and as an entertainer and that it reflects the changes that he’s gone through in the past couple of years (I’m sorry, but Papers still cracks me up). He also said fatherhood changed his life. He then hit the stage to perform an acoustic version of  “There Goes My Baby.”

Whether or not Usher looks “yummy” is up for debate, but I bet Tameka wishes he was singing to her at the end.

Despite Tameka Raymond making it no secret that she’s not a fan of most of her online coverage, she says contrary to popular belief she doesn’t hate blogs.

In fact, in her latest interview with Baller Alert she says doesn’t knock the hustle, merely the negativity surrounding certain sites.

In addition to that, the former wife of Usher helped settle some other rumors – like whether or not she has a reality show in the works – as well as touching on what might have hurt her previous marriage and whether she’ll have another.

Excerpts below:

Baller Alert – Is it true that you have a reality show coming out?

Tameka – Not that I know of. Sheesh, you guys seem to know stuff before we do these days. LOL..

Baller Alert – Would you ever consider marriage again?

Tameka – Indeed, If God has it in His plans for me to marry again, then I will, but I’m happy and content in the space I’m in right now.

Baller Alert – Do you believe having a public marriage ruined your relationship?

Tameka – I don’t think the “public” completely ruined my marriage, but I think it played a significant role. There was very little support for the space and transition my (ex) husband was in, which I’m sure was hard for him. Pressure can either burst pipes or make diamonds.

Baller Alert – How are you dealing with being a single mother with your ex-husband constantly in the news (especially your boys that can read the Internet)?

Tameka – Im single, but my sons fathers are very active in their lives and my support system is phenomenal. I highly censor what my sons take in, as much as possible and they certainly aren’t tuning into “gossip” or hearsay.. Besides, if they do get wind of some ‘garbage’ they know this world we live in and who their parents truly are. They definitely aren’t the “group think” types.

Tameka Raymond appeared on CNN yesterday to discuss her charity, Lost Ones. The Oakland native discussed why she felt compelled to start the charity and how she hopes to help the lives of young girls out there suffering.

As she explained to CNN anchor, Don Lemon, ”In my family I had mentors but I look at so many girls who don’t have that same opportunity.”

Though she was there to talk charity, chatter about her divorce and relationship with ex-husband Usher surfaced.

When asked about the title of Usher’s new album, Raymond vs. Raymond, Tameka said:

“I think that he’s probably talking about himself vs. himself. Everyone has two personalities, two sides of them. You know, I think any great artist I think the music will hopefully reflect what’s going on in their personal life. There are some things that are similar, but most aren’t.”

She also described the criticism about her as “harsh” and “unfair.”

Tameka answered her questions calmly and respectfully, but tried to shift focus back to talk about her charity. At this point we get the idea: They’re divorced. I know Lemon had to ask the questions, but Tameka came on to talk about her charity, not Usher.

Is she always going to have to end up talking about him in interviews?

Though this rumor is introduced as a blind item it’s about as blind as a straight man’s eye in Magic City.

So instead of playing along let’s get to the point: They’re saying Tameka Raymond’s presence wasn’t wanted at a certain NBA All Star party last weekend.

Which former celebrity stylist — who is having difficulty getting stylist gigs because no one wants to work with her — was rudely rebuffed when she tried to get an invite to an ultra private NBA All Star party in Dallas this past weekend?

The recently divorced mother of five ordered her reps to secure her an invite to the NBA party, but I’m told that once the organizers got wind of her request they said — and I quote — “We really don’t want her here.”

The reps, who were wary of bruising the Oakland native’s very fragile ego, tried to let her down easy but she figured it out anyway that she simply wasn’t wanted at the party. So she did what any self-respecting narcissist would do — she decided to go anyway.

This twice divorced stylist, who believes with all her heart that she’s a celebrity, took matters into her own hands and called around Dallas finally locating a NBA wife who could get her an invite to the glamorous affair.

Well, her ex-husband was in town (for that underwhelming performance in the Village People-like costume) so maybe that’s why no one wanted to be bothered with her.

Oh well, there’s always next year in LA, Tameka.  And if it’s not true I’m sure Tameka will be cursing someone out (without using any explicative) via Twitter soon enough.

In a new interview with BE magazine, the ex-Mrs. Usher Raymond, Tameka Foster Raymond shed some light on why it continues to be good to be her despite…you know.

Here are some choice excerpts from her interview:

BE Magazine: What’s the BEst thing about BEing Tameka Raymond?

TR: You know I love being Tameka Raymond! Obviously, I love being a mother; like I said, that’s 1st & foremost. The Raymond part of it gives me a certain visibility to help others, for example, the work that I’m doing in the community with the girls, along with my other non-profit Which is The Oakland Natives, where we do backpack giveaways and school supplies. So I guess being Tameka Raymond really gives me that visibility. I do not consider myself a celebrity in any shape form or fashion, but I’d be in denial if I didn’t admit that I have a higher visibility than the average person. I like to be me.

BE Magazine: Break down the family aspect that you have & how that relates to you and entertainment.

TR: I’m really awful when it pertains to my entertainment aspect. I do not watch television, I just have so much going on & my mind is so busy…it just goes a mile a minute all the time, so I don’t really have the time to sit and watch the boob-tube. I don’t even sit on the computer often. I have assistants & a great team, so anything I need like emails, they print them out for me, so I’m not just sitting on the Internet a lot. I do like Twitter (as she laughs)!!!! Twittter is my entertainment. Everybody’s gotta have a vice, so I like that. I like it because I can communicate with different people. People send me any pertinent news, so I get my fair share of the scoop. I like to read a lot too. I’ve got an amazing book collection, so I sit and do that. That’s my personal situation, but as far as being a mother, that’s a juggling act daily. I have a that’s 19, so I deal with his issues of being 19, but then I have a 1 year old son, so there’s a broad spectrum. Anything you can imagine from a parenting aspect, I’ve experienced it or am going through it. That’s why I don’t have time for TV.

She doesn’t watch TV, but was rumored to be trying to get her own reality show or join a popular one (The Real Housewives of Atlanta). She says she barely stays online but has been involved in a number of beefs with ATL-based bloggers.

I guess if you continue to play around with the truth everything can be as good as you want it to be.

Or wait, maybe I’m a “hater.” If so, she has a message for them, too:

BE Magazine: It’s no secret that you’re currently in the middle of controversy at it’s worst; what does Tameka tell the HATERS?

TR: I don’t even address them. They’re not even on my radar! All I tell a hater is to CATCH UP! If folks say the wrong things [on Twitter], it’s a simple function…I hit the BLOCK because the the block is hot! It’s simple & beautiful.

It’s always good to see two people who seemingly can’t stand each other put their own beef aside for the good of someone else.

And the former Mr. and Mrs. Usher Raymond IV are said to have done just that over the weekend as they celebrated their youngest son’s first birthday. I’d hate to have read that Usher’s mama was outside of the venue scrapping with Tameka.

Funny scenarios aside, here are a few flicks from Naviyd Raymond’s very first birthday party:

Ever hear anyone say in life you’re essentially always dating the same person because you’ll always be drawn to a certain look or personality type?

If not, let’s just say I made it up and I kind of know of what I speak, OK?

Exhibit A is Usher, who is apparently experiencing a bit of déjà vu with rumored new girlfriend, Grace Miguel.

Grace is older than Usher. Grace is supposedly married. And now it seems his mom can’t stand her.

The New York Daily News reports that there seems to be some friction between the ex-Def Jam exec and Usher’s mama over how to handle Usher’s career. Yes, that should sound familiar.

The word:

The problem is that she most recently worked at Island Def Jam Records, a competitor of Usher’s label, Jive.

“Some people see it as a conflict of interest,” says a music insider. “She’s still under contract with Def Jam, but Grace seems to be calling the shots behind the scenes on Usher’s album.”

Agrees another source: “It has complicated things tremendously. Usher has her calling the shots now. Grace has been taking calls with the big bosses at Jive regarding Usher’s CD, and the label doesn’t like it.”

That’s not all. Our insider says that Usher’s mother, Jonetta Patton, and Miguel aren’t exactly getting along. In fact, says the snitch, Patton is “mad that Grace is stepping on her toes and meddling in her management affairs.”

Says the insider: “Jonetta sees Grace as a rival for her son’s attention — just like Tameka was — and, even worse, she thinks all of Grace’s meddling could ­affect Usher’s album.”

I hope Grace knows that in the end, Usher’s Oedipus complex (I know you were assigned to read Oedipus Rex in school) will always have Mama Jonetta winning in the end. And if I were Usher, I’d let my mom win a lot sooner.

Somewhere Tameka Raymond is singing to herself, “Don’t it always seem to go, that you don’t know what you got ‘til it’s gone.” That or two-stepping to, “It’s cheaper to keep her.”
