DMX’s Ex Talks Reality Show & Book Deal

Published by Runteldat on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 11:50 am.

The estranged but still not legally divorced wife from DMX, Tashera Simmons, has been talking about potential reality shows and prospective book deals for some time now.

It seems now most of those would be plans are coming to fruition.

In a sit down interview with Superstar Radio, Mrs. X explained what she’s been up to.

First, there’s the charity organization she has launched:

“Since the separation I’ve created an organization that helps women who have been abandoned or abused and its just reaching out and trying to help other women, because I was abandoned as a child. I created the foundation because it built a lot of strength in me.”

And then there’s the reality show:

” It’s called Life After X, and I’m shopping it now and it’s looking good.  I’m trying to get it on the right network though, because it’s a real show.  I’m not going to throw any names out there, but some networks aren’t fit for it.”

She also has that book coming, which you can hear her talk more in depth about below:

DMX’s Wife Thinks He Was Set Up

Published by Runteldat on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 11:50 am.

In a recent interview with a local radio station, DMX’s estranged wife, Tashera Simmons, argued that Arizona police and legal officials had essentially set up her husband.

First, she clarified that she is indeed still legally married to DMX. On staying with him for so long, she said, “We met when we were 11 so it’s like we were more than husband and wife. That was my dawg.”

On what broke them up, she reiterated some of her previous comments – i.e. knocking up other women.

When asked about the probation violations that have led to his jail stints, she said:

“I’m telling you the real now, I told Earl, ‘You need to get out of Arizona. They do not like you there.’ The thing is his probation was up in three weeks, and they said he could not leave until it was up. They let him do shows but he couldn’t actually move out of Arizona until his probation was up…but he only had three weeks left. They set him up. You see that he was in a rehab [center] that they put him in because he was dropping dirty and they gave him permission to go and do a show. How are you giving someone that’s supposed to be in a rehab permission to do a show? That’s like a set up. And X, I can’t believe that he even took a drink knowing the situation.”

DMX’s Wife on His Cheating & Trying To Save Him

Published by Runteldat on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 11:50 am.

DMX’s soon-to-be-ex-wife, Tashera Simmons, is continuing to speak out about the fall out of her marriage and the pending memoir that will accompany it.

In a new interview with VIBE.com, Tashera elaborates on DMX’s infidelity, in addition to her thoughts on once trying to save him.

She says he had four children out of wedlock that she didn’t know about. Once the mothers of those children began contacting her, she felt enough was enough.

On his cheating:

“I just felt like with the drugs, that in itself is mentally draining. I felt like since we’ve been together for so long I didn’t want to give up on him.

But when he started coming up with all these kids I was like I can’t because for one, I have kids and I definitely don’t want my daughter to think that that’s okay. The drugs already was too much but then the cheating, I didn’t even know he had time to do that. I mean, I never put it past him; I never say never but without protection? There was just a lot of unprotected sex and I have kids to take care of. I started thinking about all of that and I was like, I can’t do it anymore. I felt he took me for granted.”

On believe she could help him:

“I really felt like I could help him. But I know now that that’s not something I can do. I had to give it to God. It’s not like he was doing it purposely. He was just living like a rock star. The person I met was never like that. He was always loyal to what he believed in and even before we had kids, he used to tell mebecause his mom, it’s him plus three other girls and they all have different fathers. When we got together one of the things he said was, ‘I don’t want to have kids by different mothers, I want to keep all my kids with one woman.’ But once he got in this business it all went left. He just got really caught up.”

On the yes-men who enabled him:

It’s funny because X has a lot of trust issues so I used to always be with him a lot because he knew that if he couldn’t trust anybody else, that he could trust me. The bigger he got he started being around so many yes-men and I started looking like I was wrong because I was the only one telling him the truth. It was like, I watched my best friend lose his soul. He gained the whole world but at the same time lost his soul.”

Side note: Rumor has it Aliya S. King’s book Platinum was loosely based on Tashera.

DMX’s Wife Leaving Him, Writing Book & Planning Reality Show

Published by Runteldat on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 11:50 am.

Now that he’s fresh from jail, DMX can now look forward to starting over in another way.

Indeed, his wife, Tashera Simmons, is done with Earl and is ready to start over.

In a press release, Tashera says she’s planning both a reality show and book with author Aliya S. King (Platinum, Keep The Faith, American Gangster).

On the book she says:

“It’s not a tell-all, I want to clear that up. It’s a memoir, it’s a story about our life, my life, and our life together. My side of the story, because I feel like in his book, he didn’t really get into detail to better explain it. I think reading my book, it explains everything. I’m talking about everything, from my childhood when I was abandoned by my mother and left to take care of my siblings, to when me and Earl (DMX) first met at 11 and we got together at 18 and I’m starting from there until then on…It’s a positive tell all.”

As for her reality show, Tashera says it will explore how the family has coped “with a husband and a father that has let them down over and over again.”
