Kenya Moore Blasts Porsha Stewart for her Underground Railroad Confusion

Anyone who doubted Kenya Moore’s ability to the be the voice of reason on the Real Housewives of Atlanta missed the reality’s star comments on her costar Porsha Stewart’s take on the historical Underground Railroad.

Here’s a recap for those of viewers of the Bravo reality series who may be living under a rock: the Georgia Peach ladies were on a Freedom Trail tour in Savannah, when Stewart blurted out that she thought the Underground Railroad was an actual train.

When the tour guide showed the group  ventilation holes in a church floor and explained how, “people crawled under to escape slavery,” Porsha’s reply was confusion personified. “There has to be an opening for the railroad at some point,” Stewart said. “Somebody is driving the train. It’s not electric like what we have now.”

Moore lit into her co-star via her Bravo blog. “When Porsha was perplexed at how the train operated or ‘who went down there first to make room because they didn’t have electric trains like we do now,’ I became incensed…” Kenya said. “It was crystal clear that Porsha did not know that the Underground Railroad was not a literal train!”

But the former beauty queen didn’t just stop there. She continued, “It’s easy to laugh and call her dumb, but the reality is even more painful – WE have failed her. Our educational system has failed her, anyone who coddled her or encouraged her to focus on her makeup, weave, and shoes to find a man to take care of her rather than her education has failed her,” Moore said. “Anyone laughing at this gross ignorance has failed her.”

Finally, Moore made reference to Stewart’s late grandfather Hosea Williams, a prominent Civil Rights activist in Atlanta when she said, “Porsha is an embarrassment to her grandfather, his legacy, her family and most importantly, herself.”

Ex-Landlord Calls Cops on Kenya Moore

Published by on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 10:00 am.

The Kenya Moore eviction saga continues. In this chapter, The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s star ex-landlord Conya Dillon Weems called the cops on the former beauty queen. The latest beef: Moore had Bravo cameras on the property while she was vacating the premises.

It’s believed that the five unidentified men were filming Moore’s exodus for upcoming episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. An onlooker added, “The landlord called the police because Kenya should not be on the property, nor did she give permission for anyone to be filming.”

This is the second time in the past 72 hours that the po po was called to the $3,999 a month, six-bedroom Roswell property. Moore voluntarily left the palatial spread this week after Weems filed papers to evict her from the home for not paying her May rent. Kenya allegedly owed $848 in past late fees and utility bills plus a whopping $4,500 in late fees and penalties.

But there is still a war of words between the two ladies. Kenya tweeted this message on Thursday, “I WON my eviction case it was vacated! We proved I didn’t owe any late rent. Thanks for all your support! Moving on and up.” But Weems told Radar, “She lied about renting the home and about her boyfriend amongst other things. She begged me to lease my home and live a pretend lifestyle she couldn’t afford. She will get hers in the end no doubt … I don’t live a fake life.”

Tamar Braxton and NeNe Leakes are making headlines again — for making monetary gains and causing controversy. It turns out Tamar is not just a new mom, she also has impressive mansion-flipping skills. Braxton sold her luxurious Hidden Hills, California home just two years after she and her husband Vincent Herbert bought it back in 2011. The new parents purchased the 11,700 square foot abode for 3.4 million, but recently sold it for 6.9 million. Which means Toni Braxton’s little sister and hubby netted a 3.5 million profit. Cha-ching!

Leave it to NeNe Leakes to raise the bar of drama even on her wedding day. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star will become the blushing bride part deux when she remarries her husband Gregg Leakes at the Intercontinental Hotel in Atlanta on Saturday. The ceremony and reception will also be filmed for an upcoming reality special called, I Dreamed of NeNe: The Wedding. So not only is the star-studded guest list is required to wear “Old Hollywood glam attire” consisting of gowns for the ladies or tuxes and suits for gents, they will also have to sign off on a confidentiality agreement.

The document includes such high maintenance stipulations which include that  guests cannot be under the influence of drugs or medication, cannot have any pre-existing health conditions and cannot run for public office within the next calendar year.  Seems NeNe is repping team Next Level Bridezilla. Go on, girl!

Kenya Moore Fights Eviction Lawsuit

TV audiences who’ve witnessed Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore in action knows she’s a fighter. Now, her landlord is about to get a taste of Hurricane Kenya firsthand. The former beauty queen’s landlord Conya Weems-Dillon is currently suing Moore for breaking terms of her lease agreement and stiffing out her for $848 dollars for one month’s rent.

But the RHOA star is firing back with a lawsuit too. Moore is countersuing for wrongful eviction plus slander and emotional distress. Kenya also added that she’s paid her $3,999 monthly rent in full for May and June on her six-bedroom and six-bathroom residence and that her landlord often enters her house without notice. Moore believes Dillon only made up the eviction story to sell a story to the tabloids and wreck her reputation.

Well the landlord got her media story in the press, but with Kenya on her heels she also had better watch her back.  For real!

Kim Zolciak Is Pregnant

It seems The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast has officially expanded just a little, wee bit. Radaronline is reporting that Kim Zolciak is pregnant with her fifth child. Unbeknownst to her, “The Tardy for the Party” singer was sporting a very obvious baby bump over Memorial Day Weekend. A source told InTouch Magazine, “She’s been trying to keep it quiet — she didn’t realize she’s showing as much as she is.”

For those of you keeping a Kim offspring tally, Zolciak has two daughters from two previous relationships, 16-year old Brielle and Ariana, who is 11-years old. With her husband Atlanta Falons star Troy Biermann, she has two sons — Kroy Jagger, 2 and 9-month old Kash Kade. Word has it that this was an unplanned pregnancy, but Zolciak is definitely hoping for a girl this time around.

“If Kroy had his way, I’d be pregnant all the time,” she told In Touch Magazine in a previous interview. “He loves my curves, he thinks I’m sexy when I’m pregnant.”

Congrats to Kim and family!

Brandi Glanville on NeNe Leakes: “She Takes Responsibility for Everyone’s Success”

Published by on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 10:00 am.

A mini-war of words has broken out among the Real Housewives, specifically between Real Housewives of Atlanta’s NeNe Leakes and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville.

It all began when NeNe called Brandi a “train wreck” and mocked her because she said Brandi, “thinks she’s a gangsta” when Leakes appeared on Andy Cohen’s live gabfest, Watch What Happens Live. But it didn’t end there. Glanville picked up the verbal baton and ran with it all the way to the press.

“It doesn’t affect me. She doesn’t even know me…” Glanville told “…Get to know me first. Then she can say what she wants about me…” She continued, “…And I am gangsta! Why can’t I be gangsta? Because I’m white skinny and tall?!”

Leakes also reportedly said about Glanville, “ She’s just off the chain, she’s off the hook [with] a lot of things that she has to say, just so talkative.”

Glanville admits to being tipsy the last time she saw NeNe at the Bravo Upfonts in April at 2am. Brandi says there was lots of trash talking but they both were having a good time.  She told, “I was totally tipsy… we were all just having fun,” Glanville added. “So I said I was gangsta. It’s NeNe… I could care less. I don’t know her.”

But Brandi confessed that watching NeNe ream her on TV has since given her pause on her true feelings about the Housewives franchise highest paying star. “As I was watching the show last night I felt like she was drinking her own Kool-Aid a little too much,” says Glanville about NeNe, whom she thinks could use an ego check. “I do think she was trying to take responsibility for everyone’s success a bit…everyone on the show brings something different and they’re all important roles.”

Kim Zolciak Files Legal Documents Against Kandi Burruss

The legal drama among reality TV stars just keep flying. This time out Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak has filed legal documents asking a judge to toss a lawsuit filed against her by co-star Kandi Burruss, according to TMZ.

To recap for those who don’t remember, Zolciak and Burruss were musical collaborators on the Zolciak’s one-hit wonder, “Tardy for the Party.” In Burruss’ lawsuit she’s alleging that Kim hoarded money earned from the single that co-wrote together. The song debuted on The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2009. Burruss’ musical talents are well known in the industry. She’s a former member of Xscape and is the Grammy-Award winning songwriter behind TLC’s hit “No Scrubs.”

But Zolciak believes Kandi’s claims are bogus because she says Burruss was overpaid $6,000 for her songwriting contributions. Kim believes Kandi is only creating this ruckus to try to get free publicity for her upcoming new spinoff reality show, “The Kandi Factory.”

If it’s true, someone once said there’s no such thing as bad publicity.

New Obsession: TLC’s Upcoming “Preacher Wives”

Published by Natasha Fierce on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 10:00 am.

(Photo: REUTERS/Seth Wenig)

Praise the genius that came up with this idea: TLC announced that it has partnered with True Entertainment–the production company behind The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Sister Wives–for a new series called Preacher Wives.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the series will not only follow strong-willed Atlanta women as they play out their role as preacher’s wives in the congregation, but also give a view of their home lives and how they balance both roles.

Can I get a hallelujah? Finally, a show worthy of filling the void left in our lives by the season end of RHOA. If PW comes close to the train wreck circus True Entertainment pulled off with it’s other hit shows, I’ll be clearing my prime time schedule in advance.

No premiere date has been set for the series, but us believers will be waiting for it like the Second Coming. If the network airs the show on Sunday mornings, can it count as going to church?

Kim Zolciak Rumored To Be Pregnant

Published by Runteldat on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 12:00 am.

Kim Zolciak may have found yet another way to generate revenue.

According to Star magazine, the reality star and “singer” (but no offense because “Tardy For The Party” goes off) is pregnant with reported boyfriend, Atlanta Falcons star Kroy Biermann’s baby.

Not so shockingly, the story doesn’t end there.

The tabloid says Kim’s former girlfriend (she was a lesbian for all but five minutes), DJ Tracy Young, was apparently asked to help her raise the baby.

That is, until she dumped her.

Tracy told Star:

“She said she still loved me and wanted to tell me something important face to face. When I asked her what she was going to do, she said, ‘I want you to stay and raise the baby with me, because Kroy doesn’t want to be involved.’”

I believe nothing until I see a photo of Kim’s pretend baby in a real newborn wig.

Kandi’s New Boyfriend Rumored To Be Deadbeat Dad

Published by Runteldat on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 12:00 am.

Kandi Burress’ new boyfriend, Baltimore Ravens star Willis McGahee, has been the subject of various rumors since it was reported that he would be joining the singer and reality star on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

In short, Media Take Out basically tried to say he was living with his baby mama. However, another blog has reported that it’s received two emails from people saying the site got it’s info wrong.

They say he’s a deadbeat dad.

Here’s one of the emails sent to The Jasmine Brand:

“I read your blog that referenced Ravens player, Willis McGahee, and I just wanted 2 tell u anonymously that Willis has 7 kids, as well as 7 baby mamas. That’s what “a lot of kids is”. He’s flying to Atlanta and won’t come see his own children. He is the true definition of a dead beat father. Media Take Out has their story wrong. He does have a 5 week old baby, but he doesn’t live with that child’s mother. Willis also has a young daughter with his baby mama, Tiffany, that happens to be a lesbian.  While he played for the Buffalo Bills, he also had another daughter.”

As it turns out, in 2008 he was subject to three separate paternity suits:

Jan. 7–Father knows best? A third paternity suit was filed against Willis McGahee, 25, Buffalo Bills running back and former University of Miami Hurricane. Keisha Walls, 27, an elementary school teacher, says McGahee is the father of son Kai Walls, born April 19, 2006.

Chiniqua Smith, 26, also a teacher, says McGahee is the father of Willis McGahee IV, born Jan. 6, 2006. Dorothy Doretha McNeil, 29, sued McGahee in 2005, saying he fathered daughter Bria McGahee, born Jan. 17 of that year. In the cases of Smith and McNeil, McGahee has been declared the biological father and is paying support. “He’s an honorable person,” says McGahee’s attorney, Howard Rudolph.

Oh, Kandi. Good luck with that one.
