This summer things are heating up for Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Raymond in the worst way. She’s now in the news for breaking a lease with her former landlord and owes over $200,000 in back rent.
Initially, Raymond’s ex-landlord claimed she owed in approximately $50,000 in overdue rent for three retail spaces where she runs her Georgia businesses. But Tameka countered that her landlord broke the lease and argued that the case should be dismissed.
Unfortunately for Raymond, the judge in the case was nowhere near on her side in the dispute. The judge ordered Tameka to pay $186,036.50 in principal fees, $18,628.65 in attorney fess for a grand whopping total of $204,665.15 (yikes!)
If there are on good terms, think maybe Usher will loan her the loot?

The internet is ablaze after TLC cutie Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas appeared to admit she’s still in love with her ex, Usher. The couple, who started dating in 2001 and split two years later amid rumors he was cheating. While Ush and Chilli have both moved on from the relationship, some of their fans never did.
On Monday, a fan tweeted Chilli asking, “@OfficialChilli Do you still love Usher?” to which Chilli replied: “4ever n ever.”
This may sound like her confession, but before we go on rejoicing that hip hop’s original royal couple is finally going to take back the throne, it’s important to remember that sarcasm doesn’t always come across in 140 characters.
Still won’t stop us from hoping and wishing!

You can add Usher’s name to the growing list of celebrities who are washing their hands of money received to perform for members of Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi’s family. The Middle Eastern leader has faced open revolt since February and was referred to the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity in a unanimous vote by the United Nations.
“I am sincerely troubled to learn about the circumstances surrounding the Nikki Beach St. Bart’s event that took place on New Year’s Eve 2009,” Usher said in a statement Monday. “I will be donating all of my personal proceeds from that event to various human rights organizations.”
Usher has already made an unknown donation to Amnesty International, the AP reports. Beyonce also performed at the same New Year’s fete and reportedly donated her $1 million paycheck from the performance to the Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund over a year ago. ”Once it became known that the third-party promoter was linked to the Qaddafi family, the decision was made to put that payment to a good cause,” her rep said.
In 2008, Mutassim Gadhafi tapped Mariah Carey to sing at a New Year’s Eve party and she also received $1 million. Carey said she was “naive and unaware of who I was booked to perform for. I feel horrible and embarrassed to have participated in this mess.” While she hasn’t mentioned donating the money, she did issue a warning to other artists: “Going forward, this is a lesson for all artists to learn from. We need to be more aware and take more responsibility regardless of who books our shows. Ultimately we as artists are to be held accountable.”

Jamie Foxx might joke but apparently he doesn’t play! The actor/singer/comedian was spotted knucking and bucking at Usher’s pre-Grammy concert in Hollywood last night.
Folks who saw the fight told TMZ that Jamie was in an exclusive lounge area near the stage when people started pushing and shoving. Allegedly, someone took a shot at Jamie and he threw a punch right back to defend himself.
Some unnamed sources around the web that claim to be inside described the altercation as a “knock down drag out fight” but Damien Dante Wayans (nephew of Damon and Keenan Ivory) went on camera and described the fight as “a little altercation between two friends.”
Hmm maybe we’ll have to blame that one on the alcohol (that was too easy, I couldn’t resist).
At the end of the night, they say the cops weren’t called and nobody was hurt, but remind us not to get too close to Jamie if we’re ever in the club with him.

On Sunday night Usher came home for a stop on his OMG! Tour.
That night Twitter lit up with rumors from spectators claiming that Tameka Raymond was trying to get backstage with the kids in tow and was escorted away by security.
Via Rhymes With Snitch:
Rumors are flying that Usher’s ex wife Tameka got turned away from VIP at Usher’s concert in Atlanta the other night.
According to the streets Tameka was trying to get backstage at the concert, with her youngest son on her hip, but Usher’s people were not having it. They say Tameka made a scene and had to be escorted out of the area!
Tameka denies this, tweeting:
I’ll take her at her word. I’m not trying to get cursed out.

In what can only be deemed as another blow to Alicia Keys’ Digital Death campaign for AIDS awareness, one of the celebrities who vowed to remain silent broke his pledge – all to say Happy Birthday.
Indeed, Usher was quote tweeting the following:
The point of Alicia Keys’ campaign was to have a number of celebrities vow their digital death on various social networking sites until a $1,000,000 was raised.
Thus far they’ve only raised $300,000, and call it a hunch but Usher’s tweet very likely isn’t helping the cause.

I don’t know if it’s based on experience, but Usher doesn’t advise dating a fan.
And so, he’s told his protégé – Justin Bieber- to stay clear of dating one of his millions of obsessed fans.
Here is Uncle Usher in his own words on the advice he’s shared with young Bieber:
“I tell Justin you’ve got to love all your fans without falling in love with them. I can’t say I’ve never dated a fan but it’s not a good idea. I tell him to understand that you are a fantasy to them and you should be mindful of that.
And I encourage him to not take success so seriously so early. Have fun with it. And make friends!”
Usher also shared that he’s quite happy in his own life and realizes how fortunate he is:
“I’m so happy. I can’t complain. And if I did, people would have a fit. How could I complain when I get to do what I do, travel, be with my kids and have a grand life?”
Exactly so don’t bother and take note, other celebrities.

Now that he’s on the prowl, Usher is sharing insight into what he looks for in a woman.
In short: Not a dumb one.
The currently touring singer was recently quoted saying:
“The small of a woman’s back is sexy. There is a tenderness a woman has that could make a man fall to his knees and a strength that will tell him to be the greatest of all. For a woman to be able to dominate and also be feminine and soft, that’s a talent.
And it’s not all about appearance. A woman who has a brain, who is street-smart and book-smart – that woman is very, very sexy to me.”
Usher also stressed that communication is key in making a relationship work:
“Women see things that men don’t. I guess it’s more important for a man to hear a woman, not just listen. The perfect relationship is one where both parties try to understand what their mate is not just saying, but feeling too.”
I’d rather take directions from a non-English speaking blind person than take love advice from Usher. But, you know, have at it, folks.

I’m beginning to think Usher and Tameka Raymond’s failed marriage will be reported far longer than the marriage actually lasted.
If it’s any consolation, the stories about the ex-couple might be a lot more positive. Despite a bit of back and forth initially, these days it seems Usher and Tameka have found common ground as friends.
In an new interview with Britain’s Cosmopolitan magazine, Usher explains:
“With my ex-wife, there was a lot of pressure in our relationship because of my career. Now that’s alleviated, we’re friends and make smart decisions for our children.”
“Friends” sounds a lot better than reports of scratched cars and 9-11 calls.
She’s out opening stores and styling others while he’s successfully fought off theories he was turning into “Uncle Usher.” Good for both of them.

In case you didn’t catch it the first 90 times he’s alluded to it, Usher is not married anymore and isn’t interested in getting married again.
In fact, he’d much rather lead the rest of his life as a playboy who is single, single, single with girls, girls, girls surrounding him.
Oh, and have I mentioned that he’s divorced, not looking to get married, and looking for a lady friend and a few of her friends?
If not, here’s a story for you.
It seems the playboy talked to Playboy magazine and made it clear for the umpenth time that he’s not marriage material.
He said: “Seeing how marriage didn’t work out for me the first time, I’m in no rush to do it again. Maybe I can find a couple of women who are open-minded. Look at how Hugh Hefner does it, with a harem of women.”
You know, if he were super duper flexible he’d probably not even need a harem of women to service his needs.
As much as people roast Tameka Raymond for the fallout of her marriage to Usher, aren’t interviews like these an obvious sign of who might have been the real culprit?
