Even supermodels have bad hair days…
Yesterday Naomi Campbell worked it at a Mobil gas station in the Meatpacking District in New York Dennis Basso fall/winter 2010 campaign shoot. She looked hot and not just because it was 90 degrees outside and she was rocking fur (so much for her 90’s PETA ad where she declared she’d “rather go naked than wear fur”). Even at 40 years old Naomi still got it….well, almost all of it.
The supermodel shocked onlookers when she flipped back her hair so that stylists could fix her clothes and serious hair loss was revealed.
Years of weaves and over-processing have certainly taken their toll on Naomi’s hair. While wigs and weaves can be great accessories just like a necklace or bag, it’s interesting that so many entertainers–including Amber Rose, Solange, Janet, and Chrisette Michele–have chosen to given up their long synthetic locks for closely shaved, natural hair. I bet Naomi could work that too!
The supermodel has been the face of Basso since last year. Her new ad campaign will debut in September.
I don’t think it’s balding. I just cut off my hair so my wig can fit better and I think that’s what she does too.

i think the perms are a bit too much in the states they need to come up with something thats a lil less harsh on our hair our hair is fragille from the begin, then with alll the expectations of keepin up with european ppls hair looks it can sometimes will ruin your hair. its good to excercise natural looks or close to whenever possible.
Ladies……now do you see why it’s ok to wear your OWN, NATURAL God given hair instead of weaves 365 days a year….MESSAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am Beautiful. When I say those words I’m not telling u that I am I am trying to prove to myself that I am. Because it’s hard to say that My Black Is Beautiful when the Beauty portrayed in this world is the exact opposite of who i am: Light skinned, straight hair, long legs, big boobs etc. So in my quest to love myself I grew my hair natural. It’s been 9 months and I hate it. Still wearing weaves while it grows. It’s hard to get accustomed to but it’s me and I need to love and embrace who I am!!
