And the style winner is…

A red carpet always needs a little glam and Ashanti brought it in this crimson floor-length gown. She wore an updo to show off the origami detail that dropped into a sexy V and accessorized with drop earrings and bangles for added drama.

She may not have had a hit song in years, but Ashanti’s stunning dress hit a high note and was my favorite arrival look. Way to show up and show out!

Who was your red carpet winner?

SATC: a movement, not just a movie!

The girls were back in town in New York yesterday for the world premiere of Sex and the City 2 and the scene was bananas! Bright frocks, splashy gowns and serious heels hit the carpet (that was complete with chandliers–only SATC!) at Radio City Music Hall turning the red carpet into one of the most fabulous runways The City has seen since Fashion Week!  

Sarah Jessica Parker greeted hundreds of fans in a neon Valentino dress while her co-star Kristin Davis also opted for a electrifying gown by Jean Dressses.  Cynthia Nixon went for a classic black strapless Carolina Herrera gown and mused “fans would be dissapointed” if they expected her to dress up every day because her style is “much more casual.”  Kim Catrall evoked Old Hollywood with a modern twist in a plunging gold Naeem Kha gown, Victoria Lake waves and bold red lips and nails.

 Besides “the girls” a incredibly long list of notables including Gayle King, Vanessa Williams, Gabourey Sidibe and Ashanti turned up to dazzle on the red carpet. Even the fans that swarmed the entire block were decked out in prom gowns and cocktail dresses. Something about this series makes everyone want to tap into their inner fashionista!

Estelle styled in a mix of some of springs biggest trends–a white blazer and tribal print heels (love love love the shoes!).

Although her Proenza Sculer shoes probably cost a grip, BET’s own Julissa Bermudez rocked a $375 BCBG Runway dress that’s available now for you to scoop up for your own closet.

Wendy Williams had my jaw dropping when she said bought her little black dress at Wal-Mart! To balance it out she wore a pair of bad rainbow Giuseppe Zanotti heels that she said her husband gave her as a gift.

For the love, you guys, it is not OK to wear this trendy, cat-woman like look with EVERY freakin’ thing.

Yes, they make your butt look fantastic, but girllllll, that thing has got to be sticking to your thighs and backside like a sweaty, gluey hot mess.
