Frank Ocean: “I Feel Like A Free Man”

Yesterday [July 4] as America celebrated its 236th year of Independence, Odd Future singer Frank Ocean did some liberating of his own. The smooth singer-songwriter discussed for the first time, via letter he wrote on his Tumblr page, a relationship he had with a man when he was 19-years-old. Though the now 24-year-old did not mention being gay or bi-sexual, he did admit that he fell in love with the unknown man “4 summers ago, and he feels like “a free man” now that he has “no secrets to keep.” The revelation immediately made the “Thinking of You” crooner a trending topic on Twitter. While fans debated the morality in an issue like this, Ocean received a wealth of support from many of his musical peers and stars in Hollywood. Much like the saying goes here at BET, “we got you,” fans and stars alike proved that to Frank Ocean with their tweets and comments.
