A Guide to Azealia Banks’ BeefsPublished by Rondell Conway on Friday, August 17, 2012 at 9:53 pm.
Every other day it seems like we’re writing about Azealia Banks trading words with somebody or another on Twitter. We can barely keep track anymore. To help navigate Banks’ beefy madness, BET.com has put together a handy guide to the who, what, why, when and where of her never-ending quarrels.
Here’s a pointless beef for you: Jones has released two mixtapes called Vampire Life, and Banks has been repeatedly using the word vamp in her music and social media platforms recently. The two went back and forth about who used the word first on Twitter, with Jones calling Banks a “two-bit slore.” She responded with ferocious diss track “Succubi.”
Banks sent barbs at Barbz via Twitter in late July. It all started when Banks claimed that she had to turn down a tour with Nicki to work on her album. Later that day, Nicki tweeted, “#ManTheseB—hesDelirious,” and Banks assumed she was the intended target, responding, “I could be really unprofessional and post emails between ur manager and my booking agent but I won’t…#veryquicklytakingyourjob.”
