Precious is in theaters November 6th and Lionsgate provided BET.com with exclusive images of the award-winning flick. Precious is based on the 1996 novel Push by Sapphire. BET.com has been on this film for months and earlier this week we reported the Lee Daniels‘ film won big at the Toronto Film Festival.
Push includes an all-star cast: Mo’Nique, Lenny Kravitz, Mariah Carey, Paula Patton, Sherri Shepherd and introducing Gabourey Sidibe.

Oh my god, i can’t wait for this movie. I read the book and had to re-read certain pages to make sure i was reading correct. Hope the movie portrays the book. Can’t believe that the mothers boyfriend started molesting her daughter while she was still in pampers!!!
OMG! I am so amped for this movie. I first saw the preview for it January 2009. The trailer caught my attention at the theatre. So, I read the book. I love how raw the story in itself is, how real, how emotional. I was in tears. This movie is going to be phenomenal, I am so looking forward to it.
whoa blake, read the book before you make assumptions
“I LOVE THE FACT THAT THERE’S NEW RAW UP COMING BLACK TALENT IN THE FILMING INDUSTRIES”
LJ the word is GRAMMAR! The pot can hardly call the kettle black…
On the other hand I too am looking forward to watching this movie!
I think this film bring new light to people of Black inner city youth.
Also you get a brief window of what Black girls dealing with today.
I am definetly going to read the book first. This movie is going to be very enlightening. I believe this will leave a positive impact on our young black women today. With Tyler and Oprah working as a team……what else would there be but Goodness an Greatness.
Another ghetto novel made into a movie to disgrace black people.
The sad thing is that this young actress will never get another role due to her looks. If she does, she will be cast as unsympathetic. And why do we always have to play something negative to garner critical attention? PEACE.
I guess its gonna be a touching movies.I would luv to see it…
I THINK THIS FLICK BRING JOY 2 PEOPLE

CANT WAIT TO SEE THIS MOVIE!!! I THINK ITS GONNA BE REALLY INSPIRATIONAL.
I was not feeling this book at all. I don’t think it was detailed enough. The ending was horrible. It left alot of questions unanswered. I understand the teen was illiterate and the writer wanted to show the extent of illiteracy. But, after a while is was irritating. I hope the movie is better. I recommend ‘When you look at me” by Undra Biggs.
bitches hate bitches
