Terry’s Tirade

Terry McMillan is still on the bitter train for marrying gay ex-husband, Jonathan Plummer, who’s fighting for spousal support from the rich author and was bold enough to write a “fictional” tell-all book about their life together.
This time, she’s addressing the gay community in an interview with the magazine UNEQ, which will post the story on its web site on Nov. 15. Here are a few quotables:
“I loved him for years and did everything I could to help him evolve. The reason I told UNEQ Magazine so many of these previously undisclosed details is because he needs to be exposed to the community he is also pimping. He forgets that gay men have sisters and mothers. And it is because he doesn’t care, just like he doesn’t care if he ever goes back to Jamaica.” … “It is the main reason he went on television to announce his homosexuality. He wanted the people in Jamaica to be embarrassed and to hate him so that in the event that our marriage were annulled – his goal was to use the self-generated hatred sure to come from Jamaica so that he would qualify for asylum and be able to stay in this country if his citizenship were revoked or in jeopardy. This is how slick he is. … “What is it he’s doing besides getting a tell-all book published to draw attention to himself with the hopes of making money and once again all by pimping my fame? What has he done? Nothing. The gay men and women who are still suffering in Jamaica have not benefited one iota because of him. Quite the contrary. He gives gay men a bad rep as far as I can see. But he thought everybody was going to love him unconditionally. And look at what a spectacle he is making of himself and a mockery of his sexuality, all for his own personal gain. He could care less about men still in the closet.”
It is unfortunate that this brotha was on the DL. Terry needs to push on. She is venting her private anguish publicly, and that doesn’t make her look any better than her ex-husband.
Why is America more accepting when two women get their grove on as opposed to men? Yes, lying about one’s sexuality is not right. Who out there can say they have done nothing wrong? It is very challenging to have to live a lie. Soceity does not accept a man loving another man! I feel for the both of them because I’m sure they loved each other. We can only pray that they both learn to forgive and love again.
I agree with Krysten…the first time I saw the guy I could tell he was gay. And yes, Star Jones will be facing the same problem in a few years.
I have nothing against the gay community…but let me know what I am dealing with. I don’t care if you are gay, a liar, a whore, a cheat, freak, or whatever….just tell me.

You must consult God in any decision making because he knows what everyone is thinking. He is the only person that really cares deeply for us. Do not forget he died on the cross for us. Be kind and wise in every aspect of your life..
more then consult God, but also have common sense. Mrs. Bynum is a Prophet, i’m sure she consulted God, but look what happened………Bishop Weeks beat her head in……so we cant always put the blame on God….we need to date people and investigate them before we jump out the window and marry them ;-}

That fraud of an exhusband of hers needs to get some real help. His dirty downlow ass, knew that he was gay before he married her. Ms. McMillan, shouldn’t be made to give his ugly,pathetic ass not one red cent. Men like Mr. Plummer, are the reason why our black women, are sick and suffering/dying horrible deaths today. Terry, I’m sure thanks the Lord Thy God, everyday that she wasn’t sticken with something that there is no cure for. Whether she knew that he was gay or not is irrelavant,the fact that he knew that he was homosexual should have stopped him from possibly destoying an innocent life and Mr. Plummer, should have to pay for that !

I think what Jonathan did to Terry was really wrong. If her were gay and knew this, he should’ve stayed away from her. When I first saw him, I didn’t think he were gay at all. For him to do her the way he did he should be punished for that. Also, he should be sent back to his country to face whatever punish he will get there.
