According to Bossip.com, “This Christmas” actress Lauren London and rapper Lil’ Wayne are headed down the aisle! A source close to London reportedly says the two ”have been on and off for years and have had an open relationship. Lauren is very hood and likes thugs.” Weezy fits that descript. If it’s true, congrats!
Do you believe it?

Lawyers are wondering why the L.A. City Attorney’s office is still on the fence about whether to charge Brandy with involuntary manslaughter after her reckless driving helped cause the death of mother and wife Awatef Aboudihaj almost a year ago.
“There is a death and obviously reckless driving involved, which is enough evidence for an involuntary manslaughter charge,” says Bill Sayed, the lawyer representing the family of Aboudihaj to TMZ.com. “As to why the City Attorney has taken this long? I think we would all like to know…Brandy continues to live life with really no negative results … doing what Brandy is doing … as if though nothing has occurred here.”
Should she get jail time, or are the millions of dollars she’s been sued for enough punishment?

…he might look like Demitrius Hirsch, some random dude who was arrested yesterday in Lafayette, La. on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, and who happens to resemble the “CSI” actor. Props to TMZ for the photo. Where’d they find this guy? LOL!

If you hadn’t noticed, I’ve respectfully stayed away from any blogs about Sean Taylor, as his unfortunate death is not at all Entertainment. But I couldn’t resist posting this picture of the NFL player and his daughter. Is she a cutie pie or what? Hit the News channel for the latest on the murder investigation.

Just when we thought Kimora Lee Simmons deserved the Best Ex-Wife Ever award, the NY Post’s Page Six is reporting that Ms. Baby Phat has been talkin’ smack about Russell’s girlfriend.
From the Post: The diva ex-model, who’s currently dating Djimon Hounsou, was overheard telling a friend she was “ready to get on with life” after her split from Russell Simmons. The two have seemed to be friendly, with Kimora even throwing Russell a birthday party last month at Guastavino and inviting his new girlfriend, Porschla Coleman. But she was overheard by the same source saying she invited Coleman that night to meet the “major players” because she “wants this stupid b - - - h to get a clue.” “The exes are all very civil, there’s no negativity,” said Kimora’s rep.
Is she capable of this? Naaaah.

Jennifer Hudson’s sure come a long way. According to the NY Daily News, the ”Dreamgirls” star will be performing four songs on New Year’s Eve at the Setai in Miami, where the top ticket price to hear the Oscar-winning diva is $60,000. Is she hot like that? She must be. Day-um!

“Making the Band” hotstepper Laurie Ann Gibson tells New York Magazine that she won’t work with Diddy again because of his inflated ego. If you recall, he fired her last season after an argument over some dance routines.
“The problem was definitely P. Diddy and working with his ego,” she explained. “It was really him that gave me trouble because he couldn’t really understand that at certain points [the process] was difficult and hostile. I mean, the girls were amazing and the boys were not the problem. They were hard workers, and the show was definitely edited at times. It’s debatable, but a lot of people know that’s what it takes as a dancer.”
As much as she might be right, I’m thinking Diddy’s ego is so big that he could care less.

Of all the (mostly vile) names Don Imus has been called in 2007, some might not think ”Man of the Year” would ever be attributed to this man. But King magazine does, and crowned the infamous shock jock so in their Year-End Issue on stands Nov. 27.
“It took only three words from one mouth to ignite a firestorm of debate and a full-blown incursion into hip-hop. For having such impact, Mr. Don Imus—the original radio bad boy—is our Man of the Year,” reports the mag’s web site.
What do you think? Should Imus be put on a pedestal for stirring up a conversation or are the editors of King on crack?

You’d think folks in Barbados would still be proud of their native girl, Rihanna. But not everyone on the island is cheering her on. Consider this from the editorial section of Barbados’ NationNews.com:
“I AM TIRED of opening my newspaper to find Rihanna headlines; Rihanna this and Rihanna that. Give it a rest! People talking about her putting Barbados on the map is nonsense. Barbados was well on the map before she came along; and will be when she is gone.
I read a comment written in the DAILY NATION, November 20, about giving her a big welcome each time she comes home. I do not believe she gives her schedules to anyone here, anyway. She comes and goes when she pleases. All her achievements are hers and I have not seen her do anything spectacular. Where was her donation back in September for the Brittons Hill tragedy? I have nothing against the young woman. More power to her. But when sensible Barbadians write what to my mind is rubbish in the paper, I feel the need to comment.” — Sonia Armstrong
Somebody needs to cut back on the Haterade.

This recent picture of Jasmine Guy, best known as Whitley from “A Different World,” apparently sparked online conversations about how poorly the 45-year-old actress is aging. Kind of unfair, I think. She clearly has on no makeup, and her hair isn’t perfectly coiffed like many are used to seeing. Give a sister a break.
