A double congrats goes out to Timbaland this morning. According to People mag, the producer is recently engaged to his girlfriend and publicist Monique Idlett, who gave birth to their baby girl Reign a few days ago. Timbaland and Idlett, 33, have been dating for two years, and “they’re both really happy together,” sources say. They were engaged in October, and plan to wed in 2008. Well, alright!

Naomi Campbell was reportedly on her way to an 80s party in this outfit. I’m scratchin’ my head wondering who looked like this in the 80s??? Fanny pack, OK. But I don’t get the rest. Maybe it’s a British thing. Anybody?

So Donald Trump put together his cast for “Celebrity Apprentice,” right? Guess who’s among the bunch? Yep, Omarosa. Now I’ve looked at the list of other celebrities — some of whom I’ve never heard of – and the only recognizable Black person besides boxer Lennox Lewis is Omarosa. Interesting that with Trump’s vast network of connections, he picked the evil Black woman (barely a celebrity) who wore out her 15 minutes of fame years ago. Interesting…

Page Six is reporting that Common is all smitten over Serena Williams?

“The 2003 Wimbledon champ, dressed in a shiny baby-doll dress, was spotted holding hands and getting “very close” with rapper Common last week at Tenjune during a party for her sister Venus. ‘They were very friendly, arm-in-arm. She looked great,’ said a spy. ‘All night they were sitting together. They were keeping it cool, but you could tell Common likes himself some Serena. I asked a friend of his and was told they are dating.’”

Do you believe this? I don’t know. I can’t see Common, whose on the little side, trying to handle all that woman. Plus, Serena’s dated so many white guys, I also can’t see her with a brother.

Maybe Elise Neal really could play “Superhead” in a movie. Yes, yes, I see it now! Whether she does or not, Elise looks incredible in this King magazine photo shoot. Agree?

According to TMZ, Bobby “King of R&B” Brown busted up his ankle while practicing dance steps during the New Jack Swing tour last week. Damn, Bobby! The old legs ain’t what they used to be, huh? Tryin’ to pull off a few Chris Brown’s moves, I bet. Just in case you copped tickets for the upcoming Atlanta and Ohio shows, Bobby’s reps say he’ll be ready to perform.

In the December issue of Essence magazine — which features a smokin’ hot cover of Nia Long, Sanaa Lathan and Gabrielle Union, by the way —  Miss Union comments on the various Black gossip blogs that have coupled her up with every Tom, Dick and Harry.

She says: “…because everyone is clamoring for celebrity tidbits, the bigger gossip sites and even mainstream entities are picking up on it. No fact-checking, no nothing. And in one week’s time, there were like five different dudes, a baby—I’m a homewrecker. In literally seven days. I can’t point the finger at the White media. They don’t care about us. Paparazzi are not staked out in front of any of our houses. They are not going through our garbage because they don’t care about us in that way. So when you hear crap about us, it is coming from our own community, which hurts.”

“… In the next breath, they’ll complain on the blogs that we don’t have enough Black stars. Well, you rip us to shreds every two seconds from our nose to the weave to the clothes to the shoes to the ashy ankles.”

I hear her. BUT, in the defense of us bloggers, we aren’t aiming to hurt Black celebrities. Can we help it if they happen to work in an industry that breeds entertaining gossip? It’s all in fun. At the end of the day, I don’t think anyone reading this blog or any other blog is losing sleep wondering who she’s really dating, right? My last point: White media may not be gossiping about Black Hollywood folk, but they sure as hell are gossiping about their own. Why shouldn’t Black media do the same?

It’s a good week for Kim Kardashian. Not only did her E! reality show get picked up for a second season, but fans get to see more of her bodacious goodies in the December Playboy, which hit newsstands this week. “It is not as revealing as some people might want,” she reportedly told the press. “I keep it classy … It was something that I was really nervous about doing at first.”

Sure you kept it classy, Kim. Sure…Boy, making that sex tape with Ray J was such a power move!

Michael Jordan is just used to being no. 1, I guess. The former NBA star and his ex-wife Juanita are now noted with having the most expensive celebrity divorce on record. Can you count $168 million? That’s what Juanita’s getting, in addition to a seven-acre estate in Chicago and custody of their three children. Divorce is ugly, but $168 mil sure makes it go down sweeter. Day-um! After 17 years of marriage, the two are reportedly moving on. Sources say Juanita’s happily dating a banker, 20 years younger than herself, and Michael’s been partyiing with a plethora of honies. C’est la vie.
