New Addition to the Simmons Clan!

Published by Stacy Gilliam on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 2:31 pm.

It’s a Christmas miracle! Rev. Run and his crew have successfully adopted an American-born baby girl named Miley Justine Simmons. According to celebrity-babies.com, Miley, now four months old, was just one month old when they brought her home and will make her debut on the family’s MTV reality series, “Run’s House,” in January.

The couple lost their first daughter together, Victoria Anne, an hour after birth when she came into the world with a condition known as omphalocele. So this adoption is extra sweet. Congrats!!!

Please let me express myself (at this juncture) about a message I read on the message board. (For some reason I’m not able to log in under my account and feel it necessary to speak my mind.)

Someone wrote a blog and said, if we eliminated government intervention (like affirmative action), we wouldn’t have these race issues and people wouldn’t have so many hangups about race. What I heard in that is, the government is riling people up by giving a certain group preferential treatment. (How did this person feel about the things that were done to black people 100s of years ago (while he,or she is portraying to be so fair and just? Many people are afraid to show their “true color” in that regard. Anyway….) They also said that affirmative action attributed to these current issues we’re having.

I’d like to say this:
To eliminate government intervention is to create all-out freedoms of racism (which is my concern.) (My heartfelt interest, by the way is in the advancement of black people – beautiful brown skinned people might I add.)

Without Affirmative Action (or what some like to call “special treatment”), you (the bigot) have uninterrupted opportunity to hold the black race down. (Who can we report the injustices to if the government is out of it….no policy and regulations on it, etc.)

Are you telling me that no government assistance will make this issue go away, and that those who are prejudiced and bias will suddenly change there ways? You’re crazy and should just kill yourself (just kidding :-) ) But, you should, literally, take that notion and put it away (for good.)

The reason there are so many hangups and issues is because there is a specific race (as if that person didn’t know, here in these united states (and abroad) that think (really think)they are superior over all other races – even over those that have their own countries. (Some fool taught them that (now they are wanna bes), and they will die trying to force people to believe the same.

Well, it’s a new day and those of you who think you’re superior, you have a rude awakening on the way. So, I hope you’re prepared. If you look out the window long enough, you’ll see that it’s right here. It’s just a matter of time before it hits home.

I’ll continue to pray for those wannabes, and all of us, as we diligently attempt to break those barriers that exist between color (here in these united states.)

In closing, I return to the Reverend Run and his Family…I’m so glad that yet another beautiful brown baby was adopted.) God Bless Us All!

P.s. (I am an aspiring producer here in Detroit, MI, and will die trying to create an avenue for all people to come together in conversation. (It appears that we aren’t talking as much as we could be and like we should be.

Peace to all, always
(Miane)

Sincerely,

Miane.
