My only issue with his statement is that he said it to the white media. Why are we constantly degrading each other to whites? Do we do that to pacify whites or to fit in?

Yeah, I understand that it’s a joke. I love Chris Rock. But the “black woman can’t be supportive and has to run stuff” jokes are getting lame. For all of you who say its just a joke think about it; why couldn’t he make a joke about why a black woman being in the white house is a good thing? Jokes are jokes, tv is tv and opinions are opinions but people are using all of these “harmless” comments to seriously disrespect black women and the fact is that IT IS NOT FUNNY. And with all of the rifts within our race that won’t go away the joke wasn’t necessary especially from a black man. Get a clue people.

Lots of comments on how we hate the jokes on black woman.. I agree… But is OUR black comedians that are making them, how will they stop if they continue with it….then as soon as ONE white person says something, we take all measures necessary to correct them. Why wont we do the same with our own kind?? NO! we continue to laugh at the jokes, then we get mad. But we do nothing about it… so its our own fault they keep joking bout us.
