Beyonce Strives For Icon Status

For a while it was impossible to go to a newsstand without seeing Rihanna’s face staring back. Now it’s Beyonce time again. She graces the cover of Marie Claire’s UK edition and in it talks about being over being a
pop star.
There is a time limit on being a pop star, yes, being a legend, an icon, absolutely not. I’m over being a pop star, I don’t wanna be a hot girl – I wanna be iconic. I feel like I’ve accomplished a lot. I feel like I’m highly respected, which is more important than any award or any amount of records. And I feel like there comes a point where being a pop star is not enough.
You can check out Beyonce tomorrow on the tube. She’s part of the star-studded lineup scheduled to perform “Just Stand Up” live on the “Stand Up to Cancer” telethon which will air simultaneously on ABC, CBS and NBC at 8 p.m. EDT and PDT. Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Ashanti, Keyshia Cole, Ciara and Leona Lewis are amongst the other participants. L.A. Reid and Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds produced the single.
It’s time to see someone else on the newsstand besides Beyonce. Iam so sick and tires of seeing her. She is not the onle female singer out there. It’s a shame that no one else is getting any attention. It’s all about Beyonce all day everyday.
i think that beyonce is good at what she is doing and that she should continue what she is doing and everybody who says beyonce needs to stop hatin cause they the only ones thats doin all the hatin.plus every other female singer has been getting their spotlight just as much as beyonce has.beyonce,keep doin your thing because i love all of your work and i enjoy it .i love you !!!!!!!!!
I don’t think anyone is hatin on The BEE-GAL. Some People are still upset , because, Jennifer H. won the Oscar for Dreamgirls. The Movie was great everyone did a good job in their acting, but Jenifer H. tore the Hause down, so Daddy Of Beyonce was a tad overly excited.
i jus saw beyonce’s “e” true hollywood story today and after watching how she came up and didnt let ppl stop her from reaching her dream and goal, i really respect her and think she is where she should be finally, ppl needa stop hatin; cuz tha fact of the matter is she’s earned wat she’s got
