I would not have recognized Jennifer Hudson, who was caught makeup-less at 3 a.m.
at JFK airport.

J-Hud’s been on the go promoting her self-titled debut album, which drops
today. The woman with the enviable pipes has a crazy schedule. Yesterday she did
“Good Morning America” and “The View.” Today it’s
CBS’ ”Early Show” then our own “106 & Park.” Check
her out on “Oprah” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Thursday then
“Dancing With The Stars” on Oct. 7. She’ll appear on “The
Late Show With David Letterman” on Oct. 13, the same day she participates
in a New York Times “Times Talks” literary discussion with
Queen Latifah and director/screenwriter Gina Prince-Bythewood to promote their upcoming
movie “The Secret Life of Bees,” which opens Oct. 17. And I’m
sure she’s doing plenty more promotional events.

With a schedule like that, she’s forgiven for being caught without her face
on at an ungodly hour. A girl’s skin needs to breathe at some point. Although
maybe a little lipstick wouldn’t have hurt.
