Beyonce, MJB, Stevie Wonder to perform in D.C.

Some of the biggest names in music will be in Washington D.C. as part of Barack Obama’s inauguration.
Beyoncé, Stevie Wonder, Mary J. Blige and will.i.am are amongst a diverse lineup of musicians who will perform at Obama’s Jan. 18 Welcome Concert on the National Mall. Bono, Josh Groban, Garth Brooks, John Mellencamp and Shakira are also apart of the concert.
Queen Latifah, Denzel Washington, Jamie Foxx and Martin Luther King III will read historic passages at the free concert, which also will be televised on HBO starting at 2 p.m. ET.

Oh yeah I will be there! Celebrating america’s first black president and ma girls mjb, beyonce and ma boys sw and U. This whole weekend is exciting. I’ve just arrived here in D.C at 5am this morning. I’ve come all the way from rochester,ny to experience this most historic day in the world. Hope too see the whole world there. Peace!

I wish that Obama would have had more jazz musicians and Latinos. Carlos Santana….would have been great, Gladys Knight. Why Jaime Foxx ? Why that street rapper that performed with Jay Z. I was embarassed. Remember I’m 55. Those parties were too Black for me….maybe we should have had a softer side of soul. Wayne Brady, Brian McKnight, Joe, Mario, Eric Ben. We should have had angels singing Whitney, Tamara, Shanice, those folks were loud and hard. Stevie is a mess…I enjoyed Biden and his wife dance song…it was pleasant and peaceful.
