Janet’s Trying To Comeback…Again

I was in high school the last time Janet Jackson sold over a million records with one album. Now I’m only a few years away from my first high school reunion.
See where I’m going with this?
Despite two failed attempts at reminding people of her music versus her one loose breast, word is over the last month and a half Janet’s been hard at work with longtime collaborators Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis (the ones who give her actual hits) on a new album.
2008 was supposed to be her big comeback year, but her album tanked, her tour suffered several cancellations amid illness, and well, if you’ve seen her lately, y’know she’s likely cashing in on those free KFC meal coupons like the rest of us.
As much as I loved Janet growing up, unless she comes up with a new gimmick besides “I love sex,” she’ll end up the pop version of Ja Rule.
Even Paula Abdul is trying something different…sorta.
Is it really over for Janet or will her fourth attempt at a comeback be the charm?
