The problem with the black community especially is that nobody wants to stand up for what is right. Having children out of wedlock is nothing new to blacks. It has become the norm. It is almost always expected. I’m not going to make excuses for Jill. She is grown. She isn’t some teenager. She could have made better choices. I am extremely disappointed and disgusted at the attitude of many of you on this board. This is not exceptable!

wow the comments on here are ridiculious for 1 No one on this earth has the right to judge her or anyone else do you know how many women have children without being married not to say that its right in the eyes of God but come on she is not God she is human and I know my mother told me do not throw stones when you live in a glass house. examine all your stones first.

I totally expected this because she was on the rebound from her broken marriage and so happen he was there to pick up th pieces and she thought they connected. But when you are on the rebound you never see things clearly. No one really knows why she is divorced and maybe she thought she did want to marry this guy but realized that she didn’t want to make the same mistake twice. KUDUS to Jill for waking up before it was too late. The 2 of them don’t have to be married or together to be great parents. To All You Haters With Those Negative Comments…She Is Human And Is Entitled To Make Mistakes Because Yanno What No One Is Perfect!! I Guess Ignorance Is Bliss Especially On Line…GEEZE

Those all those judgemental commentors who are you to judge anyone on their choices only God knows how many skeletons you holier than thou folk have in your closet . Jill Scott doesn’t care what you people think nor do you help her pay her bills. All that said Jill there is no shame in not marrying the father of your child, sometimes life doesn’t work out the way we planned and we have to move on and do what is best for us no point being married to person and knowing fully well you don’t love each other any longer kids pick up on things like that and it affects them a hell of a lot more than if you are not together but they know you both care for and love them

CONGRATULATION’S JILL ON YOUR NEW ARRIVAL. BLACK WOMEN HAVE BEEN RAISING CHILDREN BY THEMSELVES AND DOING A WONDERFUL JOB AND I’M SURE YOU WILL ALSO. ALSO I COMMEND YOU AND YOUR EX-FIANCE FOR HAVING THE ABILITY TO LET GO OF A RELATIONSHIP THAT IS NOT WORKING, RATHER THAN HANGING ON JUST SO THAT A CHILD CAN LIVE IN THE HOUSE WITH TWO UNHAPPY ADULTS. A CHILD NEEDS LOVE, SHELTER AND COMFORT AND ALSO A PEACEFUL ATMOSPHERE.
IT IS DISTURBING TO HEAR THAT IN 2009 THERE ARE WOMEN WHO BELIEVE WE HAVE TO HAVE A MAN IN OUR LIVES IN ORDER FOR US TO BE WHOLE.
