I don’t think he was being negative in any way, he was informing her of what needed to be done in order to stand on the stage in the pop world. And the media is always calling out full-figured women in the industry.

I’m with Ne-Yo on this one. He wasn’t being harsh to the girl. He was telling the truth. Diddy was like that to D. Woods on “Making the Band”. You can tell everydaythat that’s what you have to do in order to break into this business and stay there. The girl in the video can sing and all. But if she wants to be Beyonce famous, she’s going to have to lose some weight. If she wants to do “Erykah Badu & Jill Scott” music or gospel music, then she’s fine where she is. I would say, for health reasons, she should lose some weight. I’m no size 4, but I’m not a size 24 either. Obesity in America is crazy.

I’m not saying Neyo didn’t have a point. But for him to say Beyonce was barely getting by was stupid she’s never been fat since she came on the seen. Fact, Beyonce is the baddest chick in the R&B business if she gained 50 pounds right now every chick would still want to be her and every guy would still want her. He also insinuated that because Jennifer Hudson’s a bigger girl she only got where she was because she got an oscar, untrue. Jennifer Hudson can sing her ass off and was already heading for a legitimate singing career before the oscar. Neyo had some point and it was good for him to be honest with that woman but he didn’t have to call out other artists just to prove his point. It’s not what he said it’s how he said. He’s pretty full of himself when he’s not all that cute himself. And isn’t he friends with Jennifer Hudson and Beyonce?

First he was correct and I am a Thick Madam. I’m actually dieting because I want to live to see my kids graduate from High School. No we were not all made skinny but we all need to be healthy. Even Monique is getting healthy. If you are a thick lady and cant handle the pressure……stay in the kitchen.

I find it offensive. There are Jill Scott’s and Monique’s out here. If you have the talent, you can make it. Look at what they told Tacara. She is beautiful, talented and full bodied. And she’s doing well for herself and will probably do better in the future. It’s not his job to discourage people. If you can’t say something encouraging and in a “tactful” way, don’t say it. Who is he to crush someone’s dream?
