To the family: Know that our hearts go out to you. Thank you for sharing him with us for all of these years. Thank you for sharing your good times and bad times and wonderful music and love in the past. Please know that we wish all of you the best for the future. Continue to be a strong and beautiful family and allow God to comfort you. Do not concern yourself with the past. Do not judge yourselves for things beyond your control, things that you might have said or done or for what others may say. Forgive one another today – tomorrow may be too late. Although gone far too soon rest in the knowledge that Michael is at peace now. The rest is in God’s hands. Continue to know that “God’s mercy endureth forever.” Do not ever let media speculation about things that only he and God will ever truly know drain your family’s strength and resolve. Continue to respect your privacy because in the end we truly do not need to know everything. Share what will educate and help others that may be struggling with similar issues. Maintain his legacy and your family legacy and future with great music. Jermaine was exceptional with his version of “SMILE”. It should be ranked with the many legends (Johnny Mathis, Smokey, Tony Bennett, among others) that have sung similar tunes. Please encourage him and others to continue to perform / record. You are all blessed in many ways. Thank you for sharing the service with us. The memorial was beautiful and very touching. His songs and videos will live in my heart forever. Thank all of the artists that spoke and performed and shared such wonderful expressions of sympathy and their experiences of the love that you and Michael gave to them over the years. If there is any opportunity to continue his tour dates and offer additional venues and make each a celebration of his life of music and talent, please try to do so. I and his fans around the world would love an opportunity to help eliminate his debt and ensure that his legacy is not blemished by the financial circumstances that the media alleges. As the motto (paraphrased) shown during the memorial stated, “There is nothing that we can not do with one voice”. Many small contributions can add up. Please also encourage BET, TV One, Motown, WETA public television etc. to organize a living tribute to the many unsung “past” and “Current” artists from the 40’s to 80’s and beyond that are still with us. Let’s give them all the love they deserve before another one is “Gone too soon:”

Maya Angelou’s poem as always touched us all and spoke the thoughts of many. For those artists and celebrities that we know loved him but were too overcome by grief or chose to stay away from the spotlight to not distract the services, our hearts go out to them as well and we thank them for this silent token of appreciation.

I was in the first grade when Thriller was released and Beat it was the first of his music videos I can remember watching. Since that time I’ve become a lifelong fan. He had it all then and even now still has it all. Almost two weeks later and after his memorial it’s still hard to let it sink in. I don’t know whether to say that his work was done on this earth or he still had so much to do. But it was said best at the memorial as much as we needed him here, God needed him more. Thank you Michael for sharing your unmatchable talent with the rest of the world.

And to BET thank you for your coverage. It’s all been done right respecting the man and his family.

Aside from your music you are the King of Hope! Your charitable efforts will live on, no matter what your critics say. It’s funny how in life you never mentioned how much you gave off the stage and out of the spotlight. You have truly executed God’s plans and I know you are in Heaven! Damn i was not born in the tiime of him but i still know all of his music and when i heard i dident belive me and my my friends thought that it was fake and the reportes just put it up because there hasnt been a big story in a while so we just did not belive it . But then when they brought his brother jeriamiah s to speak onT.V then a few of us faintedand i mean i just could not bevive it but yesterday at his memorial when his daugher came up to the podeom to talk that just made me cry soo much and made me realisse what a MAN we have lost!

Although I never got the opportunity to see you live n concert, everytime I listen to your music or watched you on television, it was like I was right there. My heart is so heavy, but then I smile because I know you are at peace. No more worries. To Michael’s family, I am so sorry for your loss. My heart is in pain, but I know yours hurt the most. I will miss Michael. I still cannot believe that he is dead. I loved all his songs and he dances like nobody I ever seen. I want you all to grieve and take each day at a time. Don’t hide your tears just let it out. I loss my dad last year in May. It has been hard. I think about him each day. It is hard to let go of someone you so much, but Jesus will see you through it. It will get better with time. I will never forget his smile. I love you Michael. RIP.
