Remember the Time: Leave your condolences for MJ

Say what you will about Michael Jackson, but if not for him the likes of Usher, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, Beyonce, and every other Black megastar that came after him wouldn’t be here.
He is a trendsetter in every sense of the world. From his dancing to his videos to his hair (I’m not kidding – his lacefront game was so proper) Michael changed the game and no matter how hard others try to copy him there will never be another like him.
As sad as I am about his death I can’t help but smile about all of the wonderful memories he’s given me.
I remember my mom telling me that I used to cry whenever the “Thriller” video came on because I was so young and afraid. Well they laughed at me, so that’s more so a happy memory for them.
I remember jumping and up down and screaming, “I’m BAD” in my living room.
I remember watching Moonwalker over and over again. People shouldn’t sleep on that movie. Mike was the original Transformer.
I remember screaming “Dirty Diana” over and over again to my mom and her threatening to beat the hell out of me because Diana is her first name.
I remember gathering around the TV to watch Michael premiere the video for “Remember The Time.”
I remember cursing out my friend for staining my favorite Michael Jackson t-shirt. If you’re wondering, no I wasn’t a kid. I was like 22.
You still may catch me screaming “shamon” for no good reason.
As I sit here, I am listening to “In The Closet,” fighting the urge to get up and strut around like Nay-Nay (that’s Naomi Campbell to you) in the video.
I think Mike would want it that way.
As unfortunate as his death is, Michael did more by 30 than people who lived to be 100. We have to celebrate his genius.

To the family, friends, and his many fans, myself included you have my deepest heart felt condolesences. Micheal was truly a gifted man and he will be greatly missed by all of us. To his family and all of us who loves him; remember this; TO BE ABSENT IN THE PHYSICAL IS TO PRESENT WITH THE LORD. Rest on my brother, know that you are and always will be loved, and the “King of Pop” now you are at home with the”KING OF KINGS”. GOOD NIGHT Michael.

We, in washington dc, are deeply saddened by the loss of this icon. We will be throwing a tribute to the KING of POP on Saturday July 11th at the EFN Lounge.

Mourn him if you must but for me and mine we will celerbrate his life and his legacey
Wonder is the blessing that come from God
and confusion descends on those that try to hold and measure a true gift.
Know that MJ was such a gift

No one is as big or talented as him
I hope they realize that and not try to have CB do a tribute to him or something

Michael Jackson I love you and your music you have been a Inspiration to many people. God has truly bless you with so many talents and I know your Legend will live on you will be missed.

“Another part of Me” here to “Remember the Time”, when “Then man in the Mirror” sang ” The Girl is Mine”.
All in one day, we lost a King and an Angel. One belonged to Charlie, and the other was “Dangerous”
“We are the World” of strength, so “You are not alone”. He made us feel the “Thriller” that kept us “Off the Wall”.
I “Don’t stop til I get Enough” and “Dirty Diana” did it. The latest, greatest inspiration in life, take notes and you can “Beat It”
It was all “Human Nature” to know he was “Bad”, and my mom’s red and black made her feel she could “Jam”
My heart goes out to Quincy Jones, Madonna, and Brooke Sheilds. Chris Tucker, Elizabeth Taylor, and those who are feeling what I feel.
The entire Jackson Family has my respect and admiration forever. I even love Joe, for all we know, he kept the family together.
So excuse me all you “Pretty Young Things”, “Billy Jean” was out of sight. And he’d “Heal the World” at the top of the globe, where the babies are “Black and White”.
My heart is aching,I wanna “Scream” I feel some soul is lost. He’s in his “Earth Song”, my only friend, I will never come across
So see you over the rainbow friend, maybe we’ll be “Butterflies”. To know the way “You rock My World” I can never say good-bye.
I wanna “Rock with You” all night, even in the sky. So when you want to know “Who’s Loving You” so much, it’s Chunky, “I Believe I Can Fly”

I cried when I first heard the news. Then refocused my energy to watching his videos non-stop on VH1 and MTV.

It is a sad day that the king of pop has died he will be missed. He is in a better place now he is free of pain.The b.e.t awards are sunday they should do a tribute to him and let chris brown do his thing he is the only one who can get even close to michael. R.I.P michael
i can remember the very first time I heard the song with a childs heart by michael jackson … boy oh boy it was like your soul was lifted just by his voice and then watching him perform was a thrill. I will miss his music so much and as i watch certain news outlets who are tryin to cloud his memory with drudging up the criminal cases it just to me helps keep his legacy going , they tried to rip him apart while he was alive why would they stop after he has passed away . R.I.P Michael, you are not alone anymore.
I’m 46 years old. I have lived through the death of Elvis Presley, but I did not think I would live to see another great musician like him in my lifetime. Michael Jackson was truly a great super star and I became a great fan and I will truly miss his music and videos. My heart goes out to all the Jackson family but remember God has a plan for Michael or he would not have taken him so soon!
