Remember the Time: Leave your condolences for MJ

Say what you will about Michael Jackson, but if not for him the likes of Usher, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, Beyonce, and every other Black megastar that came after him wouldn’t be here.
He is a trendsetter in every sense of the world. From his dancing to his videos to his hair (I’m not kidding – his lacefront game was so proper) Michael changed the game and no matter how hard others try to copy him there will never be another like him.
As sad as I am about his death I can’t help but smile about all of the wonderful memories he’s given me.
I remember my mom telling me that I used to cry whenever the “Thriller” video came on because I was so young and afraid. Well they laughed at me, so that’s more so a happy memory for them.
I remember jumping and up down and screaming, “I’m BAD” in my living room.
I remember watching Moonwalker over and over again. People shouldn’t sleep on that movie. Mike was the original Transformer.
I remember screaming “Dirty Diana” over and over again to my mom and her threatening to beat the hell out of me because Diana is her first name.
I remember gathering around the TV to watch Michael premiere the video for “Remember The Time.”
I remember cursing out my friend for staining my favorite Michael Jackson t-shirt. If you’re wondering, no I wasn’t a kid. I was like 22.
You still may catch me screaming “shamon” for no good reason.
As I sit here, I am listening to “In The Closet,” fighting the urge to get up and strut around like Nay-Nay (that’s Naomi Campbell to you) in the video.
I think Mike would want it that way.
As unfortunate as his death is, Michael did more by 30 than people who lived to be 100. We have to celebrate his genius.

MJ was one of the best singers i know alot of people wish he wasnt dead,but everybody has a day just like my great uncle he died at 50 michael jackson in heaven now he rather be up there than down here always remeber michael jackson R.I.P MJ

I grew up with micheal, we’re about the same age, when i was little I used to tell everyone, that micheal was my boyfriend, lol. I have loved micheal all these years, and I will miss him so much, I and my family send our condolence, May God keep you all, exspecialy his mom. Love The Sims and Donald Family.
Michael Jackson was the greatest musician of all times. Every song he eva made had a meaning to it. His songs showed what kind of heart he had…and it was full of warnth, love, and compassion for people and the environment. I grew up on his music when he became a solo artist. Once I found out he was in a group with his brothers at a younger age, my mother still had records of them and I fell in love with that music as well. Me hearing of his passing put a big hole in my heart because he was the one who made me want to sing whenever I would listen to his music. Despite what the media thinks of him, I think that he is the most accomplished person God had eva put on this earth. He was gonna be my husband (in my mind) when I was a little girl. I will always be one of his biggest fans and his music and legacy will always live forever. May God continue to watch over his children and the rest of his family and keep them protected in His blood. I love u Michael…FOREVER AND ALWAYS!!!!!!

WHEN I HEARD ABOUT THE PASSING OF MICHEAL JACKSON I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. I HAD SEVERAL SONGS THAT WERE MY FAVORITE MICHEAL WILL ALWAYS BE THE GREATEST ENTERTAINER IN THE WORLD……. HE WILL TRULY MISSED!!!!!!!! I SEND MY PRAYS OUT TO THE JACKSON FAMILY AND JUST KNOW THAT HE IS IN GODS HANDS.

My deepest condolences go out to the Jackson Family. I am still in shock that he is gone, he was a musical genious and music will never be the same without him. I grew up listening to him, he is an icon in so many ways. He will be deeply missed, RIP Michael.
My prayer is for his children. I know they will dearly miss their dad. They are blessed to have so many positive things to remember him by and fans like me that love them because of who he was. I am so sad for his mom, I hope I never get to bury any of my children, we are supposed to go before our children. For his sisters and brothers I know they will dearly misshim. His music and his legend will live on forever. We are better for knowing him

As a lil girl from a hick town in Kentucky , you could only imagine the things I was called. I was convinced that one day BLACK OR WHITE,, and said when he wrote it , Michael we beat the odds , I remember the night THRILLER was released I sat on the floor with my white glove and a poster in hand it was as if I was right there.. We share alot virgos and all.. This is truely an in of an era MIchael I LOVED YOU THEN AND ALWAYS. YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN !!!! Love that lil girl from Kentucky.. Thank you for the memories..
While it does not matter, two days before the demise of Michael Jackson, my grandmother was showing me the tickets stubs from the Victory Tour at the Atlanta fulton co. Stadium, the stadium is now gone so is our beloved Michael but I do have the tickets stubs. May God keep and Bless the JacksonFamily.

My prayers go out to the entire Jackson Family. If I had not lost a 3yrs.old granddaughter back in Nov. I would not be able to relate to what the family is going thur now, pure devastation. A whole that can never be filled. A place you proabley have never been before, as far as the pain goes that is. He will forever, forever be with us in our hearts, minds, & souls. He has proabley met my grandaughter already. No more pain, sorry, heartaches, court cases, he is with the Creater, I know that is were I want to be when it is my time. I’m going to see my granddaughter an Micheal oneday. Michael jackson,he influenced alot of people by being king of pop and his dance moves..when i heard his music i loved it,all i would do is watch his video’s..when i had found out that young michael jackson had past,i just cryed and i would watch the news and watch his video’s and just cry..know one should be taken at such a young age,but i know now he is in a better place,and i know he is with god..i pray everyday for his kids and family and friends,because i know it must be hard,to know that a son, father, brother, friend, has past away..my heart reaches out for everyone expecially his kids and family,people who were close with him..he was so cute and he had a wonderful voice..Michael Jackson,I Love You Forever And Always..

In my 36 years on Earth – nothing outside of my family has influenced me and touched me more than Mr. Michael Jackson. The tears have been flowing off and on since I heard the news. My husband said it best – ” The world truly lost something special ” WE LOVE AND MISS YOU MICHAEL!
