Remember the Time: Leave your condolences for MJ

Say what you will about Michael Jackson, but if not for him the likes of Usher, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, Beyonce, and every other Black megastar that came after him wouldn’t be here.
He is a trendsetter in every sense of the world. From his dancing to his videos to his hair (I’m not kidding – his lacefront game was so proper) Michael changed the game and no matter how hard others try to copy him there will never be another like him.
As sad as I am about his death I can’t help but smile about all of the wonderful memories he’s given me.
I remember my mom telling me that I used to cry whenever the “Thriller” video came on because I was so young and afraid. Well they laughed at me, so that’s more so a happy memory for them.
I remember jumping and up down and screaming, “I’m BAD” in my living room.
I remember watching Moonwalker over and over again. People shouldn’t sleep on that movie. Mike was the original Transformer.
I remember screaming “Dirty Diana” over and over again to my mom and her threatening to beat the hell out of me because Diana is her first name.
I remember gathering around the TV to watch Michael premiere the video for “Remember The Time.”
I remember cursing out my friend for staining my favorite Michael Jackson t-shirt. If you’re wondering, no I wasn’t a kid. I was like 22.
You still may catch me screaming “shamon” for no good reason.
As I sit here, I am listening to “In The Closet,” fighting the urge to get up and strut around like Nay-Nay (that’s Naomi Campbell to you) in the video.
I think Mike would want it that way.
As unfortunate as his death is, Michael did more by 30 than people who lived to be 100. We have to celebrate his genius.

Michael I grew up listening to you as my older sister played your music and I fell in love with you, your music and your moves. Now I have a 10 year old and a 3 year old and they too love you.. What can I say? I was so shocked and saddened by your passing and still trying to cope with the lost, but God knows best. Now that you are gone all the good ,bad and indifferent things are being said about you, but all I can say is to hell with that I will only cherish and remember you and your music and forget the rest. RIP in as you moonwalk all the way to heaven and I know God will look after your mom and your kids.
my sympathy goes out to the jackson family michael has always been the amazing artist that you will ever seen in any lifetime to me he was dha best im a little kid but as i started hereing about michael his music was always new no matter how the years went on his music is just something you cant stop listening to he had the sad songs that make you wanna cry nd he had the energy song where you could just dance to michael will never be forgotton his name will definetly be passed on from generation to generation he showed the world what good music is everybody loved him all kinds of race which made him be the best artist i ever saw i love michael so much he was just the best
While it does not matter two days before the demise of Michael Jackson,my grandmother was showing me the ticket stubs of the victory tour at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium, the stadium is gone so is Michael,but my stubs are with me. May God keep and bless the Jckson Family!!!
i love Michael Jackson.I send all the love i have to the jackson family.I am only 12 and i remember sitting in front of the T.V crying because i loved MJ so much.I LOVE YOU MICHAEL R.I.P
Michael Jackson was the “Pioneer” of a different era of music and video. I grew up on his music and eagerly anticipated seeing him bring this generation together with his music. I loved him as we all did and he will be greatly missed! My prayers go out to his family, “You are not alone!” Let our love for him be your strength!
i am really still living in doubt, i just can’t believe he’s gone this soon. its sad just knowing that we will not see him entertain people and not to mention touch people’s lives anymore. but all the same i pray and hope God have mercy on his soul and have michael with him, because he was a wonderful, wonderful person.

Mj you are so dearly missed! I remember talking with you several times when you came to maine. Those memories will never fade. I enjoyed every minute and we love you dearly. You will always be in our hearts. Rest in peace. . We pray for your family, children , freinds and fans…We will all meet you you on the other side. God Bless You All!!

i remember growing up in ghana, we had a collection of his music videos at home that we would watch every saturday afternoon.
he was magical, i mean his moves, his voice, his smile just amazing.

I would like to say, Thank You Katherine & Joe Jackson the creators of the entire Jackson family. I have watched and seen them all grow. They are great. I had the opportunity to attend the last Jackson Five concert. One of my favortie songs of Michael Jackson was Billie Jean. I can honestly say that I love most of the songs he sung. There has never been anyone in the world that ever came close to doing or creating the music that he created for all of us. May God be with you all. A forever fan of Michael Jackson and his family.
Michael Jackson was one of the greatest entertainers ever created. God created him to bless this world with his music and moves and that’s what he did. I’m only 20 and most older people will ask quickly what do I know about Mike. I know that there will never be another like him and he has had a big impact in my life. i am still sad about the passing of Michael Jackson. I dance at B.B Dance Productions and they did a production dance to Michael Jackson music and now that we have done it I would hope that they would be able to perform at the funeral today, that would have been a really nice.

I am sitting at home watching videos of Michael Jackson on BET. I am truly sadden by his death. Michael was truly a great man, he change and paved the way for black entertainers. I am from the Country of Trinidad and Tobago, but from the Island of Tobago. People in Trinidad and Tobago are TRULY HURT by his death. GONE TOO SOON. Time after time, I keep saying that we as people often forget how special someone is, only when the’re dead, do we remember how great they were, and wish we could have them for back to show and tell them, how special they are and that we LOVE them. These words are been written with tears in my eyes, i am natually an emotional person, and since I have heard of his death, i am crying, every time i see a video or hear people talk about him. Michael was LOVED and still is LOVED, by many including me. TO Family of Michael, my condolences goes out to you all.
i am deeply sadden about michael jackson death he will truly be missed. in this time of mourning i would really like to say this, my heart goes out to his mother she is the one that are heart should be set on she is his mother and all that he has been thru his mother had to listen and see these things that must be very hard to deal with and know this. He was a special person to his fans. think about how special he was to his mother. i see her on tv and just feel so sad for her. his children wiil get thru this because he got thru all the evil things in his life and im sure that he taught his children to overcome all bad thngs in life. i wish people and the media would stop saying that they would never be norml they are normal children. if the media keep saying things like that they wont be normal. let those children live their lifes and let their memories of their father be the good ones that they would forever remember. michael you will forever be missed.
Michael Jackson was and still remains THE BEST ENTERTAINER who ever lived. His music has made an extreme impact on my life. I look up to him as as not just a musician and entertainer, but also as a humanitarian and icon. I love it all, Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough, Thriller, Beat It, Billie Jean, The Girl Is Mine, Baby Be Mine, Bad, Leave Me Alone, Dirty Diana, Another Part Of Me, Man In The Mirror, Heal The World, We Are The World, Say Say Say, Give It To Me, Rock My World, Remember The Time, Black & White, and a list of other songs from all of his albums. He will forever live in my heart and in my mind. My blessings and condolences go to the whole Jackson family. They have not lost a global icon, because his legacy will be with them always. I LOVE YOU MICHAEL!!! You are the ONLY TRUE ICON, and you have been a blessing to those who grew up listening to you, and to those who came later on. May God wrap you in his wing as you rest in peace.
