Remember the Time: Leave your condolences for MJ

Say what you will about Michael Jackson, but if not for him the likes of Usher, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, Beyonce, and every other Black megastar that came after him wouldn’t be here.

He is a trendsetter in every sense of the world. From his dancing to his videos to his hair (I’m not kidding – his lacefront game was so proper) Michael changed the game and no matter how hard others try to copy him there will never be another like him.

As sad as I am about his death I can’t help but smile about all of the wonderful memories he’s given me.

I remember my mom telling me that I used to cry whenever the “Thriller” video came on because I was so young and afraid. Well they laughed at me, so that’s more so a happy memory for them.

I remember jumping and up down and screaming, “I’m BAD” in my living room.

I remember watching Moonwalker over and over again. People shouldn’t sleep on that movie. Mike was the original Transformer.

I remember screaming “Dirty Diana” over and over again to my mom and her threatening to beat the hell out of me because Diana is her first name.

I remember gathering around the TV to watch Michael premiere the video for “Remember The Time.”

I remember cursing out my friend for staining my favorite Michael Jackson t-shirt. If you’re wondering, no I wasn’t a kid. I was like 22.

You still may catch me screaming “shamon” for no good reason.

As I sit here, I am listening to “In The Closet,” fighting the urge to get up and strut around like Nay-Nay (that’s Naomi Campbell to you) in the video.

I think Mike would want it that way.

As unfortunate as his death is, Michael did more by 30 than people who lived to be 100. We have to celebrate his genius.

Michael was the man on a mission. Being a Black Canadian and waiting for Michael to come on TV trying to do those moves was my childhood. I jam daily to PYT, growing up and seeing a black man on TV and move the world was the best childhood of my life.
To the Jackson family my thoughts and prayers go out to you, may God bless you at your time of sorrow and may you remember that Michael was a man before he was an entertainer and always remember how he captured your heart.
Peace and Blessings to the entire family.

My heart felt sympathy is given to the Jackson Family. Especially, Mama Jackson who has lost her child. I know we may not understand the lost that you and your family maybe feeling even though we have lost family members in our own families. But, if you would just trust in the Lord and the power of his might. The lost you will never forget but, the pain of the lost will eventually fade away. May the Lord’s Spirit cover your family in this tough time.

May God Bless

God Bless the Family , Micheal is at peace.

The world is not at peace , because they just want leave you The Jackson family alone. Its not like Micheal owed the world anything , he is was human just like the rest of us. It’s a shame that this Talented man was given this wonderful gift from God and the world thinks he was given to them , World he was not given to you God gave him to his parents despite how you all feel. Worldly people leave his famliy alone and let them decide how to spend , divide , take care of the kids or give away Michael money it’s not for this world to descide he belong to God first and then his family. Let them make the decision not the world after all World you did not go out and work for this money. Rest in peace M. J. and family God Bless you and be strong.

Michae Jackson was the first African American I fell in love with. Not just for his dancing and music, but because I saw the pain and lonelyness in his eyes and heart . I was four years old when I saw him first. He has been one of the most honest people that I feel like I have known all my life. I never got to meet him, but would have loved and honored to show him a kind of friendship that he never had. Somebody who wanted nothing from him other than his friendship.
Congressman King spoke extremely poorly about Michael. I was molested twice as a child that damaged me forever. Michael got me through it because I became very withdrawn such as he did. I know a child molester when I see one! Trust me when I say Michael Jackson was by far a child molester. He was an angel who done nothing but try to help everyone. He didnt know that he helped millions of people and it didnt cost him one cent. I Love You Michael with my heart and soul. Ill NEVER forget you !!!!
Michael wanted all of us to make a change. I feel that we can make that change by keeping his legacy alive through our children. Instead of buying a bunch of toys for Christmas, we should all come together and buy each of our children a CD of Michael Jackson. Not only would this keep his legacy alive but it will also help his children. It would be nice if during that time that part of the money would go to the children in need. The poor, the hungry, etc.
We need to keep his work going !
Michael’s will should be honored and his children should stay together as he wished. I dont know anyone who could live with putting a dollar amount on a child of your flesh and blood. I believe that Debbie Rowe should be known as their mother, if thats how it was prior to his passing.
Michael Joe Jackson I Love You and may you REST IN PEACE !

LOVE YOU FOREVER WITH MY HEART & SOUL!

I remember when I was a little girl me and my dad would dance to his music and my dad trying to do the moonwalk…smile…when I reflect on my happy childhood memories I will always think of Michael Jackson and my dad….who are both in heaven now.
RIP King of Pop..there will never be another like you and your music will live FOREVER!

Micheal Jackson came into this world majestically. He walked onto any stage and every one in the audience became alive. I don’t believe that he was ever understood for the man that he truly was. He loved the entire collective of humanity unconditionally. His kinship with children was misconstrued by a highly perverted and corrupt media, and they leeched off of him and rode him like a mule. They never broke his strong eternal spirit, which we can only hope will continue its energy into the eons peacefully, with all of the other angels. All prayers to his family.
