Remember the Time: Leave your condolences for MJ

Say what you will about Michael Jackson, but if not for him the likes of Usher, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, Beyonce, and every other Black megastar that came after him wouldn’t be here.
He is a trendsetter in every sense of the world. From his dancing to his videos to his hair (I’m not kidding – his lacefront game was so proper) Michael changed the game and no matter how hard others try to copy him there will never be another like him.
As sad as I am about his death I can’t help but smile about all of the wonderful memories he’s given me.
I remember my mom telling me that I used to cry whenever the “Thriller” video came on because I was so young and afraid. Well they laughed at me, so that’s more so a happy memory for them.
I remember jumping and up down and screaming, “I’m BAD” in my living room.
I remember watching Moonwalker over and over again. People shouldn’t sleep on that movie. Mike was the original Transformer.
I remember screaming “Dirty Diana” over and over again to my mom and her threatening to beat the hell out of me because Diana is her first name.
I remember gathering around the TV to watch Michael premiere the video for “Remember The Time.”
I remember cursing out my friend for staining my favorite Michael Jackson t-shirt. If you’re wondering, no I wasn’t a kid. I was like 22.
You still may catch me screaming “shamon” for no good reason.
As I sit here, I am listening to “In The Closet,” fighting the urge to get up and strut around like Nay-Nay (that’s Naomi Campbell to you) in the video.
I think Mike would want it that way.
As unfortunate as his death is, Michael did more by 30 than people who lived to be 100. We have to celebrate his genius.

I would first like to ask God to give the Jackson family strength each day for the loss of their beloved son,father, brother,uncle or what ever he was to each and every one of you.I would like to think of MJ not as being deased but more on the terms that his presence was requested to join the father above..look out heaven with MJ there it`s about to be some kind of celebration going on.I love you and will miss you more than words can say…..bless you
I will miss you, Michael I am a year younger and grew up on your entertainment you were and always WILL be the greatest. You are always imitated by millions but NOT one can “DUPLICATE” you. You gave and showed the world “Happiness that you yourself did not feel growing up, It saddens me to know that you were denied a childhood, that to me is criminal, every child should be able to experience that phase of life. Michael Jackson was a gift from GOD that we should appreciate, we should aiso appreciate the giver of the gift which is GOD. For manifesting himself through a human vessel like Michael we are so thankful.

My family and i send our condolences to the entire jackson family just like janet said at the bet awards he was an icon to us there will never be another michael jackson ever. Even though i was to young to see him in concert i love his music and i love his spirit that he had toward the organizations that he helped. Just like jamie foxx said at the bet awards he belonged to us we just shared him.

My heart goes out to the family,and most of all the kid’s. Who have lost a father who was a great man and I pray that we the people won’t do them like the fan’s,family,friend’s. Let them be kid’s and show them how to become adults. They don’t have to be like the father just them self’s !1st.
My daughter’s first concert was a Michael Jackson concert. She was about 13 and is now 39. I remember the awe in her eyes when she got home. He put a huge smile on her face. Good, good memories.

Micheal Jackson is the greatest entertainer to ever live. There will never be another. Our Generation has to thank God for the time he gave the world this Musical Angel. He blessed so many artist now with inspriration by just watching him perform. I will always love MJ.

I grew up listenig to the the Jackson 5. I have always loved and respected Michael. When I first saw him I was in love with him. I said if only he was a little older. He was a GENIUS. When my grandaughter first hear his musice at the age of 4 and she told me which song that she wanted to hear again and again, right then and there I knew that Michael Had the Midas Touch. He’ll remain im our souls forever.
I still cannot believe the “King of Pop” is gone. I’m still in shock, I have been listening to Michael Jackson songs since I heard the tragic news. I can only imagine what his family is going through, as I have felt like I lost a brother. He was such a great entertainer and inspiration in our culture and I pray for his children, his mother, his father, and his siblings, they have truly lost an angel. Micheal you rest in peace, as your music will live on forever……Through your music you will not be forgotten.
I haven’t stop crying yet. My heart is full right now even though I have never met him its like I have lost a family member. I haven’t felt pain like this since losing my own father and grandfather. RIP in Micael Jackson. You were a earthly King, but you now you are with the real King.
